Note: Signs Of A Good Husband

💌 Marriage, just like life itself, is a test from Allah the Most Wise. When arguments and difficult moments arise, instead of impatiently demanding your other half to divorce you for some mistakes he made, remember all the loving gestures he showed, recall sweet memories and remind yourself of the main reason why you agreed to marry him in the beginning. Never let go of your husband if he has done at least three of these things:
1) You have a beautiful child or a number of adorable kids together. By divorcing, not only does your decision satisfy shaytan through being impatient or too arrogant to be forgiving, but you're selfishly preventing your children from having access to their caring father.
2) Your husband has made you smile and laugh numerous times.
3) He demonstrates affection through touching you gently, massaging or does whatever he can to bring stress-relief. There were also days and nights when you'd pray with him from behind while he was your Imaam.
4) He tries his best to lower his gaze and avoids flirting with others. The only one he is passionate, romantic and flirty with is you - and his other wife/wives, if you're in a polygynous marriage.
5) He strives to support you financially and often works hard to be capable of supporting his family.
6) He doesn't disturb you in your sleep, unless it's time for prayer especially Fajr Salah.
7) He never forces you to do something which you're not willing to do.
8) He can patiently listen to you complain or talk to him about anything.
9) If you're too strict, harsh or tough with others, he encourages you to forgive people and be more kind or compassionate. If you lack confidence in a certain field, he attempts to uplift you, motivate and raise your self-esteem.
10) He apologizes regularly if he noticed that he hurt your feelings or he makes effort to compensate for any loss, negligence or mistake.
11) He enjoys listening to you recite from the Noble Qur'an, read from an Islamic book or article, or when you share random advice he pays close attention.
12) You've seen his playful side before. You have tried playing games and sports together like swimming, badminton, soccer, board games, mobile games etc. when it was just the both of you in an enclosed area.
13) You find his hugs, tight embrace and cuddles very relaxing and comforting.
14) He has fed you many times with his right hand while eating. It upsets him when he sees that you miss a meal or you didn't eat anything in the morning or evening.
15) He is lovable with children, respectful towards elders, and he cares a lot about his relatives.
16) Oftentimes he doesn't allow you to visit a friend's house when he prefers your companionship over your absence. The fact that he misses you when you're away is clear evidence that he loves you without any pretence.
17) He knows when to give you space so you can learn to become more independent, while you trust Allah Subhaanahu wa Ta'aala always.
18) Silent periods between you are never awkward. You know you truly love your other half when you can continue loving each other for Allah's sake without needing constant vocal statements for validation or reassurance.
19) When he's been gone for days, weeks or months, upon returning he has a habit of bringing you gifts or souviners.
20) He is used to seeing you without make-up and actually prefers your natural look.
21) He seldom complains about your cooking. If you can't cook well, he volunteers to cook for both of you, he orders some food from outside or takes you out to a restraurant when he isn't busy.
22) He respects your privacy. Even if he finds the chance to go through your cellphone and laptop, he chooses to trust you and avoids thinking of you negatively.
23) When you and your siblings or parents are arguing, he would rather encourage you to forgive them, reconcile and try to understand them, instead of encouraging you to hate your loved ones whom he also cares about for Allah's sake.

📖 Abu Huraira
RadhiAllahu 'anhu narrated: Allah's noble Messenger Muhammad SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam said, “If a woman prays her five prayers, fasts the month of Ramadan, guards her chastity, and obeys her husband, she will enter Jannah Paradise from any gate she wishes.”
