Note: What My Dear Parents Taught Me

💐 In The Name Of Allah The Most Gracious The Most Merciful
💌 Three unforgettable advice from my dear mother (May Allah Subhaanahu wa Ta'aala have mercy on her and grant her entry to Jannatul Ferdaus. Ameen.):
1] "When someone does good to you, do good in return. When they do something bad, be patient and do good so they can become good people too."
2] "Avoid extremism and Bid'ah. Don't overdo a permissible action until it becomes a religious obligation." advising me to stop frequently hugging her after every obligatory prayer whenever we prayed together. So afterwards I kept the hugs to a minimum and would embrace her once in a while outside of Salah.
3] "Don't stop doing a good deed for Allah's sake. Be steadfast and consistent. Make it a habit to pray Salat Ad-Duha and Tahajjud/Qiyaam Al-Layl. Fast every other Monday and Thursday Sunnah fasts as often as you can."

Some words of advice from my dear father (May Allah Subhaanahu wa Ta'aala have mercy on him and grant him entry to Jannatul Ferdaus. Ameen.):
1] "Try to be patient with people, just as you have so much patience with your husband."
2] "Be humble. Never think you're better than others."
3] "If what you're about to say will not help you nor benefit anyone, it's more wise to stay silent."

Three ways to honor your beloved parents after they pass away:
1] Instead of uploading their old photos on social media and stating how much you miss them, you could include them daily in your loving supplications. Continue mentioning them in your Du'as, praying that Allah Subhaanahu wa Ta'aala forgives them and He reunites you with them in Jannah Paradise.
2] Treat their families and friends well. Don't abandon the people whom your mother or father used to care about while they were living.
3] Perform 'Umrah or Hajj on their behalf. Do Sadaqah/charity on their behalf whenever possible.

📖 Abu Huraira RadhiAllahu 'anhu narrated: Allah's noble Messenger Muhammad SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam said, "Verily, Allah the Almighty will raise the status of His righteous servants in Paradise and they will say: 'O Allah, what is this?' Allah will say: 'This is due to your child seeking forgiveness for you.'"
