Poem: Inner Beauty With Taqwa

💐 In The Name Of Allah The Most Gracious The Most Merciful
💌 Self-proclaimed hijabi fashionistas or models,
Who glorify good looks as though they're scattered jewels,
Can't trigger envy in me - they're not admirable,
When their perception of beauty is just physical.
~*~
Full thick lips, rosy dimples, perfect teeth, flawless skin,
With added fake eyelashes and make-up enhancement
Don't really portray true beauty that glows from within.
Good looks which boost arrogance can be but damaging.
~*~
I can't admire ladies who put themselves on display,
On catwalks, on selfies, on fashion shows, on a stage,
On make-up tutorial videos where they flaunt their face,
Proud of how they look instead of improving their faith.
~*~
I'd rather be like those who obey Allah's Orders,
Those modest Muslimahs whose beauty they keep covered,
Not ashamed, but so their faith and honor are treasured.
Allah's Love, not people's approval, is what matters.
~*~
You can feel pretty even without designer clothes,
Without glitter and the need for good looks to be shown,
So long as Allah knows how your Imaan always glows
With Taqwa, sincere good deeds, and Jannah as your goal.

📖 Abu Udhaynah RadhiAllahu 'anhu narrated: Allah's noble Messenger Muhammad SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam said, "The best of your women are loving, fertile, suitable, and comforting, if they fear Allah. The worst of your women unveil their beauty, take pride in their appearance, and they are hypocrites. None of them will enter Paradise except as rarely as you see a red-beaked crow."
