Poem: The Virtues Of Hijab/Modesty

💐 In The Name Of Allah The Most Gracious The Most Merciful
💌 From being Muslim is to obey Allah's Commands,
One of which is for Muslimahs to wear the hijaab,
To be known as obedient servants who understand
We're not slaves of fashion. Allah's Love is what we want.
~*~
Hijaab is not an option; it's an obligation
For female Muslims who are not anymore children,
Whose passion and adornments are just for their husbands,
As their value is higher than that of diamonds.
~*~
With modesty, you remind yourself you're Allah's slave,
Created to serve Allah, and ditch what He forbade.
The veil connects you with brave Muslimahs who obey
Allah's Laws instead of what fashionistas dictate.
~*~
Wearing the hijaab doesn't mean hiding your beauty,
But elevating your worth through faith and modesty,
Reserving your charms and gems for your husband only,
Emphasizing you're dignified, not morally cheap.
~*~
The hijaab demonstrates your desire to not be judged
By your fancy hair, cute face, and delusive make-up.
You'd rather be recognized as someone wise or tough,
One who bows down to no one except Allah Above.
~*~
Never be ashamed of the hijaab when it's a sign
You live your life to please Allah, not gain people's likes.
Show no interest in modeling and wild hairstyles.
Glamour and worldly pleasures don't lead to Paradise.
~*~
True beauty is not in looks and expensive attire.
You're already beautiful if there's Imaan inside,
Lots of trust in Allah, with gratitude day and night,
Free from envy and attachment to this worldly life.

📖 It was narrated from Safiyyah Bint Shaybah RadhiAllahu 'anha that 'Aisha RadhiAllahu 'anha used to say: "When these words were revealed – “...and to draw their veils all over Juyoobihinna (i.e. their bodies, faces, necks and bosoms)” – they took their izaars (a kind of garment) and tore them from the edges and covered their faces with them."
Narrated by
Al-Bukhaari, 4481. The following version was narrated by Abu Dawood (4102): "May Allah have mercy on the Muhaajir women. When Allah revealed the words, “and to draw their veils all over Juyoobihinna (i.e. their bodies, faces, necks and bosoms)”, they tore the thickest of their aprons (a kind of garment) and covered their faces with them."
