Poem: Take Care Of Your Dear Parents Especially Your Mom

💐 In The Name Of Allah The Most Gracious The Most Merciful

💌 To those who spend much of their time nowadays caring
For their moms who reached old age, or became bedridden,
Who accompany them to hospitals now and then,
Who feed and bathe them daily as their moms have weakened:
Know Allah loves you. Take care of your mom with patience.
~•~
I've done it before, striving to care for my dear mom,
Lifting her to the bathroom though I wasn't so strong,
Bathing her often like she bathed me when I was young,
Massaging her legs, and feeding her with my right hand,
Praying that my mom gets better until she was gone.
~•~
So no matter how tiring your situation is,
Whether you're tired enough with work or have your own kids,
Or caring for your mom can conflict with your marriage,
Recall how your mom worked so hard when you were a kid,
How she let herself get tired so you'd be comforted.
~•~
Thus don't give up. Never think of sending her away
To a place where strangers may not care for her with faith.
Continue taking good care of her for Allah's sake.
Remember those times when she fed you without complaint,
Taught you how to walk and helped you without being paid.
~•~
She's still your mother even if she forgot your name.
She still loves you despite not recognizing your face.
Pray that in Paradise you'll be together again,
Free from challenging tests, worries, grief and exhaustion.
Strive, brave Muslim. Allah loves those who remain patient.

Poem: Virtues Of Fasting Sunnah Fasts For Allah

💐 In The Name Of Allah The Most Gracious The Most Merciful

💌 Glad tidings to those who don't just fast in Ramadan,
But who strive for Allah, doing as much as they can
Of good deeds to please Allah, so Jannah's where they land,
Like fasting Sunnah fasts to deserve Baab Ar-Rayyaan.
~•~
They're strangers in the sense that when most eat, they're fasting,
And late at night they pray, while most sleep or go clubbing.
With Allah's Guidance, they race with enthusiasm,
Competing to reach Jannah with a noble entrance.
~•~
For Allah, they fast on Mondays and Thursdays often,
Thirteenth, fourteenth and fifteenth days of nearly each month,
Six days in Shawwaal, ninth and tenth days of Muharram,
Every other day, so Allah is more pleased with them.
~•~
Fasting regularly can enhance one's self-control.
If you can shun food and drink, you can strengthen your soul
By training it to avoid what's haraam/unlawful.
Resisting vile desires leads to success in both worlds.
~•~
Fast to please Allah and prove to Him your eagerness
To see Allah's Face after striving to pass His tests.
Let feelings of hunger and thirst erase sins you did,
As you thrive with those whose Imaan is above average.

No one else will enter it along with them. It will be said: 'Where are those who fasted, so that they may enter?' When the last of them enter, it will be closed and no one else will go through it."

Whoever innovates a misguided heresy (bid'ah/innovation) not pleasing to Allah and His Messenger, he will have a sin like those who act upon it without diminishing any of the people’s burdens.”
