Poem: Clear Signs Of Potential Gossipers And Those Who Enjoy Gossiping

💐 In The Name Of Allah The Most Gracious The Most Merciful
💌 "Guess what, some people are saying bad stuff about you.",
"So-and-so said this and that, but I hope they're not true.",
And "Do you want to know what they said to describe you?"
Are the kind of questions from someone who gossips too.
~•~
Signs of gossipers whom we should ditch for Allah's sake,
As their jokes and lies cause our faith to deteriorate:
They discuss others' faults, dismissing their own mistakes.
To transmit fake news and rumors they don't hesitate.
~•~
People's words or acts that hurt them they're quick to restate
And rant on their Facebook timeline as if it's a stage
Where those whom they misunderstand are put on display,
Confirming they're childish when they tarnish others' names.
~•~
More signs of those who may backbite about us someday:
Loudly stating opinions on whatever they hate
When their feedback won't help anyone in any way,
Such as "he's not handsome." and "she gained a lot of weight!"
~•~
The mature who loathe gossip don't rewind nor replay
Scornful, uncertain and pointless things that people say.
From the speech of wise Muslims: Advice, invites to pray,
And "Fear Allah! Quit gossiping, as it's not okay.".

📖 Abdullah Ibn Amr RadhiAllahu 'anhu narrated: They mentioned a man in front of the Messenger of Allah SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam and they said, "He only eats if he is fed! He only moves if he is made to move!" The Prophet SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam said, "You have backbitten him." They said, “We only said what is true about him.” The Prophet SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam said, "It is enough sin to mention bad things about your brother."
In another narration, the Prophet SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam said, "If what you said about him were not true, you would have slandered him."
