π In The Name Of Allah The Most Gracious The Most Merciful
π Visualize a scene where you and an admirer you like
Are in a quiet hall, and acting on their desires
They grab you closer for a kiss by which you're surprised,
Will you return their favor to prolong the delight,
Or bring them back to their senses and shove them aside?
~•~
On noticing those you're attracted to walking by,
Or stumbling upon their profile photos online,
Will you check them out as if they're candy for your eyes,
Or lower your gaze just to please Allah the Most Wise,
As you want Allah's Love more than your nafs satisfied?
~•~
If you charge your phone where others charge their phones nearby,
Then returned to find your charger being utilized
By someone you often clash with and you so dislike,
Will you angrily throw their gadget towards the sky,
Or let them charge, or confront them while still being kind?
~•~
Supposing you receive news that someone close has died,
Will you cry and dramatically yell, "Oh Allah why?!
Why did they have to go without a formal goodbye?"
Or will you accept Allah's Qadr, patient inside,
And keep praying that Jannah's where you can reunite.
~•~
To control your nafs: Remember Allah day and night,
Be aware Allah knows what's in your heart and your mind.
If you carry goodness, with Allah's Will He can guide
You to understanding Islam, receiving insight,
And skill to rightly recognize what's wrong and what's right.
~•~
Realize that when temptations would sometimes arise,
They're tests from Allah to check how you are purified,
If your belief in Allah is true and bona fide,
If the level of your faith/Imaan is low or high,
And if you can sacrifice dunya for Paradise.
~•~
To enhance your self-control so fitna you can fight:
Fear Allah the Almighty, do Tawbah many times,
With right intention, fast Sunnah fasts from time to time,
Strive to forgive all Muslims and your heart purify,
And increase good deeds to be ready when death arrives.
