Poem: Questions To Ask Yourself Before Wanting To Share Some Secrets

πŸ’ In The Name Of Allah The Most Gracious The Most Merciful
πŸ’Œ Questions to ask yourself before you share a secret
With those whom you think are good friends who can be trusted,
Seeking helpful advice or words to feel comforted,
So your choice to open up doesn't lead to regret,
As confessions instigate crisis in most cases:
~•~
This friend you're about to confide in - are they honest?
Do they fear Allah and try their best to pass His tests?
Of your blessings are you sure they're not one bit jealous?
Can you promise that they're not into pranks and gossip,
That they won't betray you if ever they get upset?
~•~
Are you certain they can't capture screenshots of your text
And convos to forward to others the things you said?
If you chat in a place that's quiet and secluded,
Can you fully assure this human won't be tempted
To mock you or have your voice secretly recorded?
~•~
If having feelings for them is what you want confessed,
Can you guarantee that your confessing won't damage
The respect they have for you or your stable friendship?
What if they relate to you, they're also attracted,
Will you harm yourselves by doing what's prohibited?
~•~
Disclosing your intimate or sensitive secrets
To Allah's servants brings more disasters than solace.
If concealing particular info causes stress,
Transfer your worries to your prayer mat or carpet
And say Du'a. Talk to Allah, you won't regret it.

πŸ“– Mu'adh Ibn Anas RadhiAllahu 'anhu narrated: Allah's noble Messenger Muhammad SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam said, "The best of faith is to love for the sake of Allah, to hate for the sake of Allah, and to keep your tongue busy in the remembrance of Allah." Mu'adh said, “And what else, O Messenger of Allah?” The Prophet SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam said, "And that you love for the people what you love for yourself, and you hate for them what you hate for yourself, and you speak goodness or remain silent."
