Poem: May Allah The Most Loving Have Mercy On My Dear Parents And Reunite Us In Jannah. Ameen.

πŸ’ In The Name Of Allah The Most Gracious The Most Merciful

πŸ’Œ O' Allah, the Most Merciful, Most Loving,
Some good deeds my parents did back when living,
As a witness that my parents did their best,
While I pray that Jannah is their place of rest:
________________
Dear Allah, I remember those nights back then
Seeing my parents pray Tahajjud often,
My Dad as my Mom's Imam, I'd find them both
Praying together for success in both worlds.
________________
My Mom, also a close friend, did what she could
To fulfill our needs, she cleaned, sew clothes and cooked,
Woke us early for Fajr Salah on time,
Was there a lot to love, feed, hug and advise.
________________
Before going to school I'd kiss her goodbye,
While she'd write her Islamic books oftentimes.
Preoccupied with learning about Islam,
She taught me lessons I had to understand.
________________
My Dad, a hardworking man, tried his best too
In caring for us, buying supplies for school.
Often he'd come home from work with lots of sweets,
And ensure we had blankets before he'd sleep.
________________
Many times he helped me with school assignments,
And scold when I'd make mistakes or misjudgements.
I recall that time he sat right next to me
To prevent boys mixing, to teach modesty.
________________
MashaAllah, both were active in Da'wah,
Delivering lectures and giving Zakah.
Saw how they'd donate boxes of food and clothes
To loved ones in need and refugees unknown.
________________
Always concerned for oppressed Muslims worldwide,
In Iraq, Kashmir, Chechnya, Palestine,
And other countries, they both did what they could
To share Islam so it's not misunderstood.
________________
My parents too loved feeding stray cats and birds,
Strove to teach us good manners and keep us learned.
From dear Mom's advice: Have patience with people,
And don't quit doing good. From Dad: Be humble.
________________
Before Mom died, I helped her pray her prayers,
Lifting her arms, saying ‘Allahu Akbar’.
On seeing Dad passed in ICU, told him
‘You’re a martyr, we’ll meet in Jannah again.’
________________
No nights and days pass without sorrow greeting,
May my tears expiate all my sins. Ameen.
May Allah the Most Kind always grant Mercy
And unite me with my beloved parents in Jannah. Ameen.
________________
May Allah the Most Merciful have mercy on my dear parents, accept their good deeds, forgive their sins, protect them from the grave's torment, and reunite us in Jannatul Ferdaus next to Allah and His noble Messenger Muhammad SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam. Ameen.

πŸ“– Abu Huraira RadhiAllahu 'anhu narrated: Allah's noble Messenger Muhammad SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam said, "When the human being dies, his deeds come to an end except for three: Ongoing charity, beneficial knowledge, or a righteous child who prays for him."
