💐 In The Name Of Allah The Most Gracious The Most Merciful
🗒️ Allah the Almighty knows best. Three reasons why we Muslims shouldn't celebrate the so-called "mawlid" or "birthday" of the beloved Messenger Muhammad SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam:
1] There is no clear evidence in the Noble Qur'an, no obvious commandment from Allah the Almighty, nor mention of any authentic Hadith and direct instruction from the Prophet Muhammad SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam stating that it is obligatory or highly encouraged to celebrate the day when the noble Messenger Muhammad SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam was born. The exact date and precise timing when he SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam was born have not been clearly documented. So it is unreasonable to select a particular date of each year to commemorate his arrival or being brought into this fleeting earth.
2] Celebrating the so-called "birthday" or "mawlid an-Nabiyy" would be very similar to resembling or imitating some unbelievers who enthusiastically celebrate the birth of Prophet 'Isa / Jesus 'alaihis salaam. Striving to imitate the actions, customs, practices, mannerisms or conduct of a certain person or group of individuals is usually a sign that you loyally admire them.
3] There is no actual proof mentioning that those from the Sahabas and salaf / pious predecessors RadhiAllahu 'anhum who loved the noble Prophet Muhammad SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam a lot more than many of us do actually celebrated the so-called "mawlidun-nabiyy" nor did any of them strongly asserted, with justifiable evidences, that the beloved Messenger Muhammad SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam himself commanded every believer to celebrate the day when he was born.
If the CEO of a large company has been deceased for several years, it does not make sense for his associates and employees to dutifully set up a noisy party every year to show respect or adoration of him, while it is known that none of his relatives and closest friends would prepare extravagant parties for him and for themselves, particularly if the color scheme of such social events contains colors which he warned his loved ones against.
The beloved Messenger Muhammad SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam warned us, his followers, against bid'ah and introducing religious acts in Islam which he SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam never introduced.
