Poem: Advice To Those Wives Struggling In Marriage

💐 In The Name Of Allah The Most Gracious The Most Merciful
💌 To that Muslim wife who got married for Allah's sake,
Wanting tips on how to deal with her husband's outrage:
Recall the purpose of marrying in the first place.
Once you've embraced his proposal, forgive his mistakes,
Tolerate his flaws, and wait for his positive change.
~*~
Be strong enough to ditch pride and understand his side.
Sympathize, knowing he has right to feel bad at times.
Realize maybe his tough childhood made him unkind,
Or stress and financial problems make his moods ignite.
Calm him like soft breeze instead of fighting fire with fire.
~*~
Perhaps your man is grumpy because he's feeling stressed
By people's expectations and demands in excess,
Or his annoyance is an expression he's depressed.
Put effort in not disturbing him. Give space for rest.
And if you can't flirt with words, let him relish quiet.
~*~
Accept the fact that marriage isn't a "fairytale".
It doesn't bid farewell to humans' options to fail.
There will be ups and downs, highs and lows, fractures on rails,
Large obstacles, small obstructions, and challenging breaks -
Loads of temporary tests surrounding true love's way.
~*~
Remind yourself kindly that marriage ain't "utopia",
It's not one hundred percent delight nor "Shangri-la".
It's a journey you can take with your spouse to Allah.
Learn Islam together, help each other reach Jannah,
With steadfast patience, gratitude and sincere niyyah.

Ali Al-Qari said, "That she prostrates to her husband is due to the number of his rights over her and her difficulty in maintaining gratitude for them. This rhetorical point conveys the obligation of the wife to obey her husband in his rights. Indeed, prostration is not lawful to anyone other than Allah."
