Poem: Ghurabaa/Strangers Among Muslims

💐 In The Name Of Allah The Most Gracious The Most Merciful
💌 If obeying Allah sets you apart from the crowd,
Or some abandon you when you leave what's disallowed,
Smile, and in doing the right thing be gratefully proud.
Do your best to serve Allah, even if you stand out.
~*~
Without a doubt most people prefer an easy life,
The majority of humankind don't recognize
The reality of dunya versus Paradise.
So don't be shy if among dark souls you emit light.
~*~
Join the special few 'VIPs' who try their hardest
To collect plentiful rewards and pass Allah's tests,
While the larger numbers select laziness or rest
Instead of striving for Jannah's everlasting bliss.
~*~
If you've been told "You're weird", keep going, fellow stranger.
The path that leads to Jannah - we're in this together.
The truth which Allah calls to is known and discovered
By only few. Thus don't quit, even if outnumbered.
~*~
Be like sparkling diamond amidst piles of plain wood.
Take action even if foes think you're up to no good.
When most would surrender, let your faith be continued.
Trust Allah and you won't fear being misunderstood.

📖 Abu Huraira RadhiAllahu 'anhu narrated: Allah's noble Messenger Muhammad SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam said, "Islam began as something strange and it will return to being strange, so blessed are the strangers."
