Poem: For Allah's Sake Avoid And Unfollow Gossipers

πŸ’ In The Name Of Allah The Most Gracious The Most Merciful

πŸ’Œ Did you notice the quality of your life improve

When you unfollow some users, no longer consume

The nonsense they would share from lousy rants to false news,

And since you ditched their bad vibes, you enjoy better moods?

~•~

Don't hesitate to avoid the clearly insecure,

Emotionally wounded users whose posts confuse

Your morals. Gladly have their online gossip eschewed.

Why analyze what they post when they're not even true.

~•~

Unfollow those who whine about what some people do,

Who tarnish people's names in a way that's immature,

Gossiping in their timelines to cope with lame issues,

And who can't confront those they secretly look up to.

~•~

Distance yourself from and unfollow those who amuse

Themselves by posting status updates that are untrue,

One-liners about those who make them feel less secure,

And who act like they're flawless when they're morally poor.

~•~

Choose those who guide you to love Allah, help you improve

As a striving Muslim, and whose posts can inspire you.

If users who post significant content are few,

Knowledge beyond social media can still be pursued.

πŸ“– Mu’adh ibn Anas RadhiAllahu 'anhu narrated: Allah's noble Messenger Muhammad SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam said, "The best of faith is to love for the sake of Allah, to hate for the sake of Allah, and to keep your tongue busy in the remembrance of Allah." Mu’adh said, “And what else, O Messenger of Allah?” The Prophet SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam said, "And that you love for the people what you love for yourself, and you hate for them what you hate for yourself, and you speak goodness or remain silent."
