Poem: Old Poem To A Sister In Islam Who Was Widowed Years Ago And To Widows Who Can Relate

💐 In The Name Of Allah The Most Gracious The Most Merciful
💌 Dear widow, whose husband returned to Allah some time ago,
Who embarks on a journey of challenging tests and sorrow,
Recall how there are other widows too, so you're not alone -
Each one of them with unique struggles and stories of their own.
~•~
When you remember the joys you used to share with your late spouse,
The warmth of his love, and your worries when he wasn't around,
Remind yourself to trust Allah's Plans. Turn your frowns upside down,
Smile with patience, and stay grateful for the blessings you can't count.
~•~
Be patient with your man's passing, in Jannah you can meet him.
Just as you can manage not eating and drinking while fasting,
Like you're waiting for dawn to rise after the darkest evening,
You can embrace Sabr as you accept what Allah destined.
~•~
Dear widow, cry to Allah anytime and let your tears flow.
These droplets could make you deserving of Jannah as your home,
Where amazing times with loved ones can forever be bestowed,
And seeing the One Who made you is the best prize you have known.
~•~
Whether you remarry or choose to be a single mother,
What matter are your faith and conduct as this life's traveler.
Persevere through each exam with patience, Du'as and Dhikr,
Until you enter Jannah where souls can't suffer anymore.

📖 Abu Sa’id Al-Khudri RadhiAllahu 'anhu narrated that some people from the Ansaar asked the Messenger of Allah SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam and he gave them. Then they asked for charity again and he SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam gave them. Then they asked again and he SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam gave them until all he had was gone. The Prophet SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam said, "If I had anything, I would not withhold it. Whoever refrains from asking others, then Allah will make him content. Whoever would be independent, then Allah will make him independent. Whoever would be patient, then Allah will make him patient. There is no gift that is better and more comprehensive than patience."
