Poem: Three Tips To Stay Contented With Your Husband And To Not Compare Him To Other Men

💐 In The Name Of Allah The Most Gracious The Most Merciful
💌 Three tips and kind reminders, to myself including,
On how to not compare other men to your husband,
To not feel less when friends marry men much more handsome,
Taller than your soulmate, or they earn larger income,
Or the groom's ethnic background makes their love exciting:
~•~
One: Accept the man whom Allah has wisely chosen
As your other half, soulmate and travel companion.
How you met and married were all by Allah destined.
In connecting you together there's always wisdom -
Patiently be content with Allah's wise selection.
~•~
Two: Love that your man's unique, not a clone of someone.
Don't size him up according to others' measurement,
Standards, preference and different expectations.
Loving each other for Allah is what's important.
No need for him to be "perfect" for you to love him.
~•~
Three: The firmer your faith, the stronger your acceptance,
The more you welcome Allah's Qadr with contentment,
And the less you're prone to envying others' blessings.
Since you know your love story was by Allah written,
Your husband's looks and traits you embrace without question.
~•~
Dates, bananas and honey differ in appearance,
But they're alike in the sense they taste sweet and pleasant.
Let your friends love their soulmates, while you love your husband.
Stay grateful to Allah, thrive with Imaan and patience,
And cleanse your heart so it's not stained by comparison.

📖 Abu Huraira RadhiAllahu 'anhu narrated: Allah's noble Messenger Muhammad SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam said, "Do not envy each other, do not outbid each other, do not hate each other, do not turn away from each other, and do not outsell each other. Rather, be servants of Allah as brothers. The Muslim is the brother of another Muslim. He does not wrong him, nor humiliate him, nor look down upon him. Righteousness is here," and he SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam pointed to his chest three times. The Prophet SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam said, "It is enough evil for a man to look down upon his Muslim brother. The entirety of the Muslim is sacred (inviolable) to another Muslim: His life, his wealth, and his reputation (his honor)."
