Poem: Unfollow Toxic Users Without Remorse

πŸ’ In The Name Of Allah The Most Gracious The Most Merciful
πŸ’Œ Toxic users are like cigars. The more you absorb
Their negative vibes, willful lies and gossipy words,
The weaker your resolve or the more you doubt yourself.
They're toxic if their acts make you question your self-worth
And spending time around them mostly makes you feel worse.
~•~
Their Facebook timeline contains passive-aggressive posts,
Complaints about people whom they envy and don't know,
Links to talks by speakers whose values are still unknown,
And offline they act as though they're shy and humble souls
Yet when amongst their likes, they backbite about their foes.
~•~
They're toxic because your level of faith Imaan goes
Low and declines whenever their true colors are shown -
Jealous of your goals, too selfish to offer support,
Doubtful of your motives, suspicious of what you hold,
Unable to advise, and not empathic at all.
~•~
When you speak or contribute, their eyes they often roll,
Tired of hearing you talk yet loathe it when they're unheard.
Since they're pros at gossip, to them secrets can't be told.
Take their wretched traits as examples to not follow,
While praying to Allah they someday forgo their wrongs.
~•~
Unfollow what they post and do online to uphold
Your dedication to serve Allah with good morals.
Firm decision to lessen contact doesn't connote
That you're prideful, but you're merely protecting your soul
From obstacles which distract or lead to one's downfall.
