Poem: Importance Of Respecting One's Parents Especially One's Mom And Why We Don't Celebrate "Mother's Day" As Muslims

💐 In The Name Of Allah The Most Gracious The Most Merciful
💌 To Muslims whose moms are still alive and reached old age:
From the traits of true Muslims is we don't imitate
The ways and traditions of those who don't share our faith.
Innovated events like "birthdays" and "mother's day"
Are occasions that guided Muslims don't celebrate.
~•~
There's no need to go shopping to buy a gift or cake,
Not a duty to give a card to commemorate
So-called "mother's day" nor go with your mom on fun dates,
Once a year to show your love, when every single day
And night you should respect your mother for Allah's sake.
~•~
To each Muslim, like myself, whose mother passed away,
Whether she left with a farewell or it was too late:
Firstly, it was destined. Allah decreed her death's date.
Instead of writing letters she can't read in her grave,
Pray for her often. In sweet Du'as mention her name.
~•~
No need to upload her photos every other day
With sentimental messages to appreciate
The person who loved bringing you up despite her aches.
On your mom's behalf do charity, and Hajj someday,
And regularly include her when you supplicate.
~•~
So what if many people celebrate "mother's day"?
Allah's faithful servants strive to avoid what He hates.
If ever you showed disrespect in your teenage days
To your parents, do Tawbah, reform to compensate,
Share their good works, speak well of them, pray for them always.

Allah will say: 'This is due to your child seeking forgiveness for you.'"
