Note: Actual Narcissists vs Actually Confident People

💐 In The Name Of Allah The Most Gracious The Most Merciful
💌 Five scenarios to differentiate actually arrogant and insecure narcissists from truly confident individuals:
1] When dining in a classy restaurant or chic cafe ➡️
Narcissists would excitedly pull out their android tablet or phone to take photos of the meals and/or drinks they've enjoyed, then upload them to their social media accounts specifically intending to show off their affluence, the "cool people" they socialize with often, or to make certain users cringe with jealousy.
Confident people would just quietly enjoy their dining experience without feeling the need to prove anything to anybody online and offline.
2] When taking a group photo in a social gathering or for documentation purposes ➡️
A typical narcissist would almost always insist or pridefully demand that they are positioned in the middle or anywhere near the center. As long as they look "perfect" and the camera is focused on their fabulous face, they don't care if others are not fully included in the picture. (Note: As Muslims it is better for us to avoid taking unnecessary photos.)
A confident person would be okay standing or sitting anywhere, wherever there's space.
3] When being asked for assistance or advice ➡️
Whether they can or can't help out in a situation, generally narcissists would never bother going out of they way to assist any human besides themselves, unless they obtain clear benefits from attempting or pretending to be helpful.
Confident people would gladly offer assistance if they have the ability to help out, and if they can't, they'd sincerely apologize and recommend somebody else whom they believe can try to assist them.
4] When their plans couldn't work out or they didn't get what they wanted ➡️
Narcissists would immediately plot some sort of revenge against those whom they regard as unfair, unreliable, or incompetent, instead of first trying to strategically analyze the mistakes, failures, or disappointments. Some of them may start spreading false rumors about the unwary culprits to get back at them, exclude them from staged outings, or insecurely resort to silent treatment.
Confident individuals would make effort to patiently accept cancelled plans, letdowns, and rejections, knowing that not everyone on earth always gets what they want, has it all together, and wins 24/7.
5] When they see other people who are more educated, more good-looking, more popular, more charismatic, more dedicated, taller or wealthier ➡️
Actual narcissists would instantly feel envious, and do whatever they can to surpass, outshine, and outdo those whom they're jealously threatened by.
Confident Muslims who firmly believe that Allah the Almighty fairly distributes His favors to His servants with wisdom would be happy to learn from those who are more knowledgeable, trained, or successful, and they're incapable of feeling jealous at all. If they do get triggered by envy sometimes, they refuse to act upon temporary negative emotions, aware that there are Angels nearby recording their actions and statements, and all humans will be questioned on the Day of Judgment.

📖 Abdullah Ibn Mas'ud RadhiAllahu 'anhu narrated: Allah's noble Messenger Muhammad SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam said, "No one who has the weight of a seed (or atom) of arrogance in his heart will enter Paradise." Someone said, "But a man loves to have beautiful clothes and shoes." The Prophet SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam said, "Verily, Allah is Beautiful and He loves beauty. Arrogance means rejecting the truth and looking down on the people."
In another narration, the Prophet SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam said, "No one who has the weight of a seed of faith in his heart will enter Hellfire."
