Note: Start Fasting For Allah's Sake In Ramadan When The New Moon Has Been Sighted

💐 In The Name Of Allah The Most Gracious The Most Merciful
💌 I used to wrongly assume that if the authorities in Makkah or Madinah announced they've sighted the new moon of Ramadan, then all Muslims around the world are obliged to start fasting together with those residing in Saudi Arabia. If you were to follow that concept, it would mean that every time it is Fajr or Dhuhr time in Saudi Arabia, the Muslims in other countries would have to pray Fajr or Dhuhr with them even though it is still nighttime in their areas. It is understood that the noble Messenger Muhammad SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam commanded us believers to fast only when we have seen the new moon indicating it is Ramadan, not to perform religious duties out of speculation or mainly because a particular country ordered, specially since the moon which revolves around the earth doesn't appear to all countries worldwide at precisely the same timing.
Muslims in a city shouldn't begin fasting until the new moon that indicates this blessed month's arrival is clearly visible to at least a number of trustworthy individuals. If they're unable to detect the new crescent due to cloudy skies or stormy weather, they can
Inn-sha-Allah contact relatives and friends who are situated in nearby locations if they have witnessed the new moon of Ramadan.
Allah the Almighty knows best.

📖 Ibn Umar RadhiAllahu 'anhuma narrated: Whenever the Messenger of Allah SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam saw the new crescent moon, he would say, "Allah is the Greatest! O Allah, bring it over us with safety and faith, peace and Islam, and guidance to what our Rabb (Allah) loves and is pleased with. Our Rabb (Allah) and your Rabb is Allah."

Note: Encouragement To Start One's Iftaar Meal With Dates Or Water

💐 In The Name Of Allah The Most Gracious The Most Merciful
📜 Question: Should the Iftaar be restricted to dates and water, or can one complete one's fasting with another edible and drink (e.g. milk, tea, soup etc.)?
📝 Answer: With whatever is available and easily accessible, but it is better to complete one's fasting with dates, preferably with rutab (moist and soft kind of dates), then with regular dates, then with water. And if the person completed their fasting first with bread or something else then there is no problem with it.
Question: What if they began their Iftaar with something else?
Answer: There is no problem, however it is much better if one starts with rutab if it can be found, or with regular dates. The noble Messenger Muhammad SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam said, "So let him take the Iftaar with a date as it is a blessing, and if it is unavailable, then let him complete his fasting with water as it is pure." And Anas RadhiAllahu 'anhu said, "The noble Prophet Muhammad SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam would take his Iftaar with rutab dates, and if they were not found then he would take regular dates, and if they were not available then he would take sips of water (as his Iftaar)."

📖 Salman Ibn ‘Amir RadhiAllahu 'anhu narrated: Allah's noble Messenger Muhammad SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam said, "When one of you breaks his fast, let him break it with dates for they are blessed. If they are not found, then let him break it with water for it is pure."

Poem: Treat Allah's Creation With Good Manners And Avoid Dhulm/Injustice

💐 In The Name Of Allah The Most Gracious The Most Merciful
💌 Note to those who've wronged others one way or another,
Who are guilty of dhulm/oppression, being unfair,
Scamming customers, misusing someone's signature,
Damaging people's properties, deflating cars' tires,
And regarding bullying as a laughing matter:
~•~
You think Allah loves you and listens to your prayers
When you spoiled a Muslim's name through spreading vile rumors,
When you had sorcery done on a good wife's partner
So you'd marry the guy when they'd split from each other,
Or you keep mistreating those whom you count as "lesser"?
~•~
You think you're from those whom Allah loves for their Sabr
When countless times you have been a compulsive liar,
A gossiper, slanderer, stealer and betrayer,
A friendship destroyer, deliberate homewrecker,
Or your own parents you regard as from your haters?
~•~
You think Allah loves it when you show spiteful manners
To His servants, while your misdeeds arouse disorder,
And your injustice causes Muslims to feel bothered?
Allah sees you. There are angels who are observers.
All deeds are justly rewarded sooner or later.
~•~
Fear Allah the Almighty Whose Justice is so clear.
Don't harm Allah's servants, specially those He holds dear.
Transgressions against others don't simply disappear,
But with Allah's Will in the future they reappear.
To shun failing on Judgment Day, to dhulm don't come near.

📖 Abu Huraira RadhiAllahu anhu narrated that Allah's noble Messenger Muhammad SallAllahu alaihi wa sallam said, "Do you know who is bankrupt?" They said, “The one without money or goods is bankrupt.” The Prophet SallAllahu alaihi wa sallam said, "Verily, the bankrupt of my nation are those who come on the Day of Resurrection with prayers, fasting, and charity, but also with insults, slander, consuming wealth, shedding blood (committing murder), and beating others. The oppressed (those whom they unfairly mistreated) will each be given from his good deeds. If his good deeds run out before justice is fulfilled, then their sins will be cast upon him and he (the oppressor who treated them wrongly) will be thrown into Jahannam/Hell."
