Poem: Some Tips For Coping With "Falling In Love" Easily

πŸ’ In The Name Of Allah The Most Gracious The Most Merciful
πŸ’Œ If there comes a time when you decide to put a stop
To catching feelings or easily falling in love,
Because it hurts to want a crush who won't chase you back
And zina is one of shaytan's most destructive traps,
Migrate to a distant place far from human contact.
~•~
Controlling your gaze is one way to protect your heart.
The more you avoid staring at souls who can attract,
While disciplining your nafs through fasting Sunnah fasts,
The easier it gets to tell your desires "Shut up.
Lust isn't real love if from Allah's Path it distracts."
~•~
It's a test if you "fall in love" with souls you can't have.
Imagine a spacious land where many holes are dug,
In each hole are creatures that can grab or keep you stuck,
And if you lack Taqwa, you're blindfolded as you walk,
And the minute you stumble, it's hard to climb back up.
~•~
Shield your heart with the fortress of Dhikr and Du'as,
Frequent reading from the Noble Qur'an, Istighfaar,
Frequently praying Tahajjud when the skies are dark,
And stay away from fitna, as smart soldiers at war
Would retreat or turn around when they spot a clear trap.
~•~
Also recall the reality of death a lot,
And visualize the outcomes of every sinful act.
Zina is like trash that's kept in a pretty gift box.
Your faith/Imaan remain safe if you leave it untouched,
And prefer everlasting bliss in Jannah above.
