Poem: Questions To Ask Yourself Before Wanting To Share Some Secrets

💐 In The Name Of Allah The Most Gracious The Most Merciful
💌 Questions to ask yourself before you share a secret
With those whom you think are good friends who can be trusted,
Seeking helpful advice or words to feel comforted,
So your choice to open up doesn't lead to regret,
As confessions instigate crisis in most cases:
~•~
This friend you're about to confide in - are they honest?
Do they fear Allah and try their best to pass His tests?
Of your blessings are you sure they're not one bit jealous?
Can you promise that they're not into pranks and gossip,
That they won't betray you if ever they get upset?
~•~
Are you certain they can't capture screenshots of your text
And convos to forward to others the things you said?
If you chat in a place that's quiet and secluded,
Can you fully assure this human won't be tempted
To mock you or have your voice secretly recorded?
~•~
If having feelings for them is what you want confessed,
Can you guarantee that your confessing won't damage
The respect they have for you or your stable friendship?
What if they relate to you, they're also attracted,
Will you harm yourselves by doing what's prohibited?
~•~
Disclosing your intimate or sensitive secrets
To Allah's servants brings more disasters than solace.
If concealing particular info causes stress,
Transfer your worries to your prayer mat or carpet
And say Du'a. Talk to Allah, you won't regret it.

📖 Mu'adh Ibn Anas RadhiAllahu 'anhu narrated: Allah's noble Messenger Muhammad SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam said, "The best of faith is to love for the sake of Allah, to hate for the sake of Allah, and to keep your tongue busy in the remembrance of Allah." Mu'adh said, “And what else, O Messenger of Allah?” The Prophet SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam said, "And that you love for the people what you love for yourself, and you hate for them what you hate for yourself, and you speak goodness or remain silent."

Poem: Some Signs Your Husband's Love For You Is Clear And Undeniable

💐 In The Name Of Allah The Most Gracious The Most Merciful
💌 Some subtle signs your husband loves you undoubtedly,
Whether you're his only wife or in polygyny:
He tries to spend time with you even though he's busy,
At least you're in his thoughts if he's in a far city,
Reading your text messages, calling regularly.
~•~
If he lets you massage or touch him physically,
And he's willing to listen to you speak endlessly,
You know he cares, and his caring isn't fantasy.
When he genuinely asks about your family,
And thinking of you often helps him sleep peacefully,
~•~
His love is real, more so when he attempts to act sweet -
Through offering to feed you by hand when he would eat,
Allowing you to wear his jacket for you to keep,
When around non-mahrams encouraging modesty,
Reminding you to put on the hijaab properly,
~•~
Waking you up for Salah when he awakes early,
Seeing you without make-up, still finding you sexy,
Knowing you have enemies then becoming worried,
Loving how you enjoy his children's bedtime stories,
And when he neglects you, inside he's feeling guilty.
~•~
You know he loves you when, though you don't see him daily,
He pronounces your name in his Du'as frequently,
Thanking Allah for a wife who loves him patiently.
So don't you leave him. Together rise in piety
Till you reach Jannah where lovers can love perfectly.

Poem: Maintain Taqwa, Good Manners, Contentment, Empathy, And Patience To Prevent Spousal Abuse

💐 In The Name Of Allah The Most Gracious The Most Merciful
💌 Know what to avoid, as your husband's respectful wife,
So you don't end up being one of those battered wives
Or newlyweds who feel "abused" or unsatisfied
When by the husband's bad temper they get terrified.
Prevent spousal abuse through Taqwa and deeds upright.
~•~
Refrain from interrogating him when he arrives,
Specially when his gestures and face signal he's tired.
Instead of whining, "why are you late?", "Again you lie!",
And "next time don't disappoint, or I'll take your kids/child.",
Gently welcome him and thank Allah he's still alive.
~•~
Strive to stay away from actions which your spouse dislikes,
Including pestering him when he is clearly tired,
Poking or shoving him when he's a more serious type,
Playing childish pranks, playfully smacking his behind,
And messing around while he has tasks to finalize.
~•~
With a sensitive guy or one who struggles with pride,
Be kind and ensure the words he hears from you are nice.
Sometimes the complaints of  most women can amplify
Insecure men's urge to react furiously or strike.
At times your silence is wiser than proving you're right.
~•~
Your husband, a trust and gift from Allah the Most Wise,
Should be handled with care and patience, each day and night.
He's not a stuffed toy to yell at whenever you like
Nor a fictional genie that can grant all desires.
He's your friend and soulmate - invite him to Paradise.
~•~
Don't diss his parents, siblings and loved ones from his side,
Even if you intend to rectify or advise.
Politely correct mistakes which he can't recognize
In a one-on-one manner and considerate style,
Whilst praying for his progress every once in a while.
~•~
Don't be defeated by greed and this temporal life.
Be pleased with what your dear zawj can afford and provide,
Conscious of the fact that the pleasures in Paradise
Are more lasting and worthwhile than dunya's brief delights.
To thrive in both worlds, be your husband's respectful wife.

Ali Al-Qari said, "That she prostrates to her husband is due to the number of his rights over her and her difficulty in maintaining gratitude for them. This rhetorical point conveys the obligation of the wife to obey her husband in his rights. Indeed, prostration is not lawful to anyone other than Allah Subhaanahu wa Ta'aala."
