Note: Five Reasons Why Some People Can't Thank You And How To Deal With Ingrates

πŸ’ In The Name Of Allah The Most Gracious The Most Merciful

πŸ—’️ Five reasons why a person would refuse to thank you after being kind to them, why some individuals are ingrates:
1] They are awfully stressed out, worried about personal issues, or very depressed. Somebody who is emotionally wounded or immensely unhappy from within may struggle to thank people for the favors done to them.
2] Undeniably they are so jealous of you - envious that you have meritorious qualities or capabilities which they lack, that they perceive you as clearly more confident or accomplished than them, or that your good character overall surpasses theirs. The more an individual is guilty of obnoxiously envying you, the more challenging it becomes for them to defeat their inferiority complex and the more intimidated they feel that they're incapable of expressing gratitude.
3] They may have had a lousy upbringing. Their parents didn't do well in taking care of them. Due to failing at educating them about proper manners, they are ignorant of the virtues of thanking people.
4] They have the potential to be thankful but only selectively. They're probably the kind of person who won't thank you if they genuinely can't appreciate what you gave them or what you did to ease their circumstances.
5] They abstain from showing thanks if their low self-esteem compels them to wrongly assume you're being nice just to make them feel small or to display you're somehow a lot "superior".
✅ Three tips on dealing with ungrateful people:
1] Avoid them for Allah's sake as much as possible, to protect your faith Imaan and prevent them from taking your generosity for granted. Withhold your companionship from those who have enough pride / kibr / arrogance to display ingratitude.
2] Be different from them while thanking Allah Subhaanahu wa Ta'aa that He didn't make you an insecure ingrate.
3] Since you understand the feeling of being unappreciated or not thanked, make sure that you strive to remain grateful to Allah Subhaanahu wa Ta'aala then to His servants whenever you can.
