๐ In The Name Of Allah The Most Gracious The Most Merciful
๐ Question: What are some of your tips to avoid jealousy?
๐ Answer: ° Remember that Allah the Most Just granted each one of His servants a set of blessings and achievements as tests, to see how they will utilize them and if they will be grateful for them or selfish and arrogant.
° Allah gave everyone different blessings to test and examine His slaves who will express gratitude, patience and contentment with Allah's Qadr/Destiny.
° If Allah made someone wealthier than you, remember the numerous individuals who have less financial means as well as those beggars who usually sleep outdoors and on streets.
° If you encounter someone who seems prettier or more good-looking than you or who has features you wish you had, such as their nicely proportioned face, perfect teeth or tall stature, recall those who were born with physical disabilities or abnormalities.
° Concerning worldly things, always look to those who are below you. Many have much less than you do, yet they're happy because they patiently make the best of what Allah already gave them instead of comparing their situation to those who have more.
° Always aim for Allah's Love, never allow yourself to lose self-respect by wanting to please people nor minimize inner peace by desiring to be better than everyone, which is unattainable since there's always someone out there who exceeds and supersedes others, and they too are superseded by other more 'privileged' characters.
° When you know that envy and uncontrollable jealousy can erase your good deeds, you wouldn't let yourself get jealous of anyone whether Muslim or non-Muslim. Particularly non-Muslims, why would you be jealous of them if they don't have Allah's Love and Guidance. So long as Allah loves you and your sincere faith can Inn-sha-Allah make you worthy of Jannah, there's no reason to envy others, especially you don't want your righteous deeds wasted.
Pray for fellow Muslims that Allah blesses the good things He granted them and Allah will also bestow on you not necessarily what you want but what your soul deserves and needs. Avoid envy, one of shaytan's worst qualities.
