Poem: True Love In Marriage Isn't Just Physical Intimacy

💐 In The Name Of Allah The Most Gracious The Most Merciful
✅ "Is it possible..." if I were asked "...for a couple
To stay married for years even if they're unable
To enjoy each other's company, get physical
And be intimate as much as they liked since both souls,
Both busy husband and wife, have conflicting schedules
Or they're in different cities while they're not able
To see each other a lot?" I'd say: It's doable.
~•~
It's possible, with Allah's Will, for Muslim couples,
Muslim husbands and wives, to stay married even while
Some critics speculate their love appears terrible
Or some nosy outsiders perceive their marital
Life as "unenjoyable" or "intolerable" -
Since the romance of those spouses is not visible.
Love solely for Allah to do well during trials.
~•~
This also applies to couples who are infertile
And sterile. Just because your spouse is incapable
Of having kids it doesn't mean it's impossible
For love to develop and flourish between couples.
Sincere love doesn't always need to be physical.
You can prove you love someone through remaining loyal,
Forgiving and enjoying discussions meaningful.
~•~
Love can also be shown when you let each other know
Your loyalty stays true wherever they are and go,
And although you don't always see them, you let them know
In various ways you still love them even when your work,
Or distance, or frequent absence often wave hello.
Loving them for Allah is more tempting than divorce.
Displeasing shaytan is more fun than spousal discord.
~•~
Separation in most cases results in remorse.
Whenever you wonder "what's it like to be divorced?"
Recall all the best reasons why when your zawj approached
Your parents or guardians you said "yes" when he proposed.
You agreed to marry him for Allah, yes? Then don't
Consider quitting. Tell yourself "for Allah I won't
Give up what's real. There are countless ways to love of course."
~•~
When love doesn't need to be seen through number of kids
Or memorable moments when you shared sweet kisses,
Love is undeniable when both Muslim spouses
Enunciate each other's names during Tahajjud
Often and mutually plan to exchange special gifts,
With both seeking Jannah's eternal bliss and success.
Blessed marriages must inspire us to be contented.
~•~
Wisely reflect: If you married your zawj just for sex
Or for his wealth, you'll hate him when he can't provide it.
Recheck your intention, your reasons for saying yes
To his marriage proposal should lead to more rewards
In both worlds. As a Muslim who accepts Allah's Will
In choosing your soulmate, believe that it's possible
To stay married when pleasing Allah outweighs all goals.

📖 Abu Huraira RadhiAllahu 'anhu narrated: Allah's noble Messenger Muhammad SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam said, "If I were to order anyone to prostrate to another, I would have ordered a wife to prostrate before her husband."

Ali Al-Qari said, "That she prostrates to her husband is due to the number of his rights over her and her difficulty in maintaining gratitude for them. This rhetorical point conveys the obligation of the wife to obey her husband in his rights. Indeed, prostration is not lawful to anyone other than Allah Subhaanahu wa Ta'aala."

📖 Abdullah Ibn Umar RadhiAllahu 'anhuma narrated: Allah's noble Messenger Muhammad SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam said, "Every one of you is a shepherd and is responsible for his flock. The leader of the people is a guardian and is responsible for his subjects. A man is the guardian of his family and he is responsible for them. A woman is the guardian of her husband's home and his children, and she is responsible for them. The servant of a man is a guardian of the property of his master and he is responsible for it. No doubt, every one of you is a shepherd and is responsible for his flock."
