Note: On Personality And Self-Discovery

💐 In The Name Of Allah The Most Gracious The Most Merciful
💌 A person's so-called "Chinese zodiac sign", "astrological star sign" and "birthstone" do not accurately describe their overall personality. Relying on mere assumptions of misguided fortunetellers and regularly checking on one's horoscope news may additionally lead to kufr/disbelief.
I've also realized that many of the generalized descriptions of people who share the same zodiac sign are not entirely accurate, especially if much of the info may be related to constellations, dealings with jinn or unjustifiable guesses.
If you wish to learn more about yourself, you can research on the Myers-Briggs personality type indicator and take several tests to find out what your mbti type is. This personality typing theory was discovered by some psychologists who categorized people into sixteen different groups of personalities based on: their introversion, extroversion, how they understood general concepts and perceived their surroundings if they were sensors who made judgements using their senses or if they were intuitives who utilized more their intuition and gut instincts, whether they were thinkers who made decisions according to logic and reason or they were feelers who were more concerned about people's emotional well-being, and if they were the kind of people who are typically organized and prefer planning ahead or if they were spontaneous adventurers who enjoy a sense of freedom.
The very first time I took the mbti test my result was ESTP and I guess it described how I used to behave recklessly back in my teens. As an ESTP student I enjoyed socializing not only with my own classmates but liked to befriend other students from different grades, played soccer often, participated in presenting morning assembly programs on stage, initiated various group games during vacant periods, and was occasionally sent to the admin office for getting into random fights and slip-ups. When I got older I switched from ESTP to an obnoxiously bossy ESTJ who had to apologize numerous times to more sensitive individuals for hurtful words that I said carelessly. Alhamdulillah after realizing my mistakes and encountering disappointments in acquaintances who I thought I could trust, my personality somewhat changed. I became more skeptical of people's motives, less interested in unnecessary interactions and more open-minded or tolerant towards people's actions that I didn't really agree with. Instead of constantly enforcing my rules and ideas onto others, I learned to avoid conflict as much as possible, so much so that I no longer have any user listed on my list of blocked users. If some users have me blocked for whatever reason, I don't question my self-worth but contentedly accept the truth that Allah Subhaanahu wa Ta'aala didn't destine me to connect with them. Alhamdulillah rather than stalking strangers' timelines and partaking in stressful debates, I've become accustomed to embracing indifference, apathy and minding my business when doing so is the more rational option.
Knowing about your mbti type, strengths and weaknesses, can
Inn-sha-Allah help you figure out why you clash with particular people. As an INTJ I've observed that I cannot easily get along with many ISFPs and ESFPs who may consider most INTJs as 'arrogant' when they don't allow them to be themselves. Personally I can't force myself to respect those who go against basic guidelines, who demonstrate illogical behavior (like pulling pranks, purposely annoying others, and recording TikTok videos), and who irresponsibly break regulations "for fun".
Regardless of what our mbti type is, what matters is we try our utmost to deal with Allah's servants as fairly as we can, striving to emulate the best character of the beloved Messenger Muhammad SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam who was a merciful, kind, generous, heroic, helpful, courageous and ambitious leader.

Note: No Racism And Tribalism In Islam

💐 In The Name Of Allah The Most Gracious The Most Merciful
💌 The recent news of the ongoing protests concerning what happened to George Floyd, which isn't something new as a lot of injustices have been occurring in other countries including Palestine, somehow reminded me of the negative mindset of some Filipino Muslims. A lot of Filipinos take excessive pride in their own tribe and scornfully look down on those who aren't 'full Maguindanaon', 'genuine Tausug', 'authentic Kagan' or '100% pure Maranao'.
When some guys propose, their marriage proposals usually get rejected simply because they're from a different tribe or they are not born Muslim, unaware that many of the Sahabas RadhiAllahu 'anhum were reverts to Islam, that Allah the Almighty judges us not by our outward appearance or skin tone but Allah Subhaanahu wa Ta'aala sees our hearts, Taqwa and actions, and we are Allah's servants who originated from Adam 'alaihis salaam and Eve/Hawwa.
Being excessively proud that one is 'moro' and acting as though you are more privileged than people with darker skin do not befit the attitude of striving Muslims.
Next time a Muslim man seeks your hand in marriage, if you're currently single, instead of judging him by his tribe and facial features analyzing if they're symmetrical enough or if he looks like one of those male Korean celebrities, focus on the correctness of his 'Aqeedah and check if he is sincere in raising a Muslim family.
The color of a person's skin and which country they're supposedly from are destined and chosen by Allah Subhaanahu wa Ta'aala.
It is unreasonable to hate somebody for something they have no control over, just as we shouldn't be utterly proud of something which we didn't design or create for ourselves.
📖 Jubair ibn Mut’im RadhiAllahu 'anhu narrated: Allah's noble Messenger Muhammad SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam said: "He is not one of us who calls to tribalism. He is not one of us who fights for the sake of tribalism. He is not one of us who dies following the way of tribalism."
