Poem: Pure Hearts Breathe To Please Allah And Don't Fear Enmity From Darkened Hearts

💐 In The Name Of Allah The Most Gracious The Most Merciful

💌 Ever wondered why, though you love Allah Almighty,

You're often mistreated by those guilty of envy,

Accused of being insincere, encounter deceit,

And trying to connect with some souls isn't easy?

~•~

Maybe the light in your heart enriched with piety

Is too bright for those whose hearts are dark, with disbelief,

Who deal with self-hate and insecurities daily.

Their need to dim your brightness pushes them to mistreat.

~•~

Your energy to seek Allah scares them severely,

Your detachment from dunya disturbs their worldly greed,

And your pure heart petrifies their toxic qualities

From jealousy and spite to ignorance of our Deen.

~•~

It's no surprise that if you strive to keep your heart clean,

Free from impatience, pride, and doubt of Allah's Decree,

You'll be tried once in a while with people's enmity,

Which brings you near Allah. Thus you trust Allah Only.

~•~

One of your shields from heartbreaks is to remain sincere

And true to Allah, our God Whom we most want to meet.

Detach from foul desires and traps that spoil your journey.

With a heart that serves Allah, you won't be incomplete.

~•~

What is a heart swept clean?” The Prophet SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam said, “One that is mindful of Allah and pure, in which there is no sin, nor aggression, nor envy.” We said, “Who shows a sign of it?” The Prophet SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam said, “One who hates worldliness and loves the Hereafter.” They said, “And who shows a sign of it?” The Prophet SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam said, “A believer with good character.”

Poem: On The Few Good Souls We Gravitate To Easily

💐 In The Name Of Allah The Most Gracious The Most Merciful

💌 Among the hundreds of souls whom Allah lets me meet

Are few special souls I gravitate to easily,

With pure hearts which don't carry deceit and jealousy,

Who radiate good vibes which bring about harmony.

~*~

I can talk to them for hours or welcome their silence,

Accept moments when they act clingy or they're distant,

Forgive them readily without their explanation,

As our love for Allah is what glues our connection.

~*~

They can live in another country and things won't change;

The peaceful feeling of liking them remain the same.

Though not neighbors here we didn't go separate ways,

Praying Jannah is where we could reunite someday.

~*~

What attract me to these souls are their love for Allah,

Their eagerness to learn Islam and perform Salah,

Awareness they're not perfect, they're people of Tawbah,

And their faith moves me to mention them in my Du'as.

~*~

There's a unique kind of comfort when around these souls.

When I'm with them, I recall that Jannah is our goal.

They're not the type to seek out the pleasures of this world,

Not the sort to backbite, tell lies, and have rumors told.

~*~

Their presence doesn't invite doubts nor agitation,

Since they never judge people based on their appearance.

Their preference to dress simply makes me admire them,

Along with their patience with what Allah has destined.

~*~

Such souls whom I get along with are rare to be found,

Yet when spotted, they're cherished and I want them around.

So I pray that Allah keeps their Imaan strong and sound,

And our place of reunion is Jannatul Ferdaus. (Ameen.)

Poem: Avoid Those Who Falsely Accuse You

💐 In The Name Of Allah The Most Gracious The Most Merciful

💌 Some people view you through lenses of low self-esteem,

Accuse you of being an arrogant living thing,

Not knowing you well enough to form factual judgments,

And their eye-rolls signal jealousy or self-loathing.

~•~

They call you "selfish" when you're struggling or saving,

"Unapproachable" when you're tired and self-preserving,

"Attention-seeking" when you're kindly motivating,

And "arrogant" when you're assertive or confident.

~•~

The labels they use to describe you are reflections

Of their insecurities and lack of inner strength.

Feel sorry for them. If they were blessed with contentment,

They'd steer clear of gossip, envy and false assumptions.
