Hadith: Virtues Of Ayatul Kursi

📖 Abu Huraira RadhiAllahu 'anhu narrated: The Messenger of Allah SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam entrusted me to protect the charity of Ramadan. Someone came to me and began taking from the food. I took hold of him and I said, “I will certainly take you to the Messenger of Allah!” Abu Huraira told the story to the Prophet SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam and he said, “The man told me that when I go to bed, I should recite the verse of the throne. Allah would appoint a protector with me and no devil would come near to me until morning.” The Prophet Muhammad SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam said, “He told you the truth, although he is a liar. That was shaytan.”

Poem: Some Advice To The Brokenhearted

💐 In The Name Of Allah The Most Gracious The Most Merciful
💌 Some words of advice to comfort the brokenhearted,
Souls who can't forget those who got them disappointed,
Whether friends or loved ones who couldn't feel connected,
Or people they loved with a love that was one-sided.
~•~
Welcome to Dunya where we're supposed to be tested,
With all sorts of traps around us to have us tempted,
Strong faith/Imaan and Taqwa can keep us protected
From what can cause our hearts to become deviated.
~•~
As Allah loves us more, more exams will be added.
Don't assume a tough life means by Allah we're hated.
Expect to meet some souls whom we may find attractive,
Or worldly goals by which the crowd is captivated.
~•~
As trials increase and by fitna we're surrounded,
We must trust Allah more and pray our hearts are shielded.
Persevere lowering our gaze whenever needed,
Control our emotions and know when to be quiet.
~•~
Have our circle of close friends carefully selected,
Making sure they're well, guided, and appreciated.
To helpful advice and remarks be well-receptive,
With a heart rich in gratitude that can't get jealous.
~•~
The Decree that Allah gave us must be accepted
With a lot of patience and Du'as supplicated.
Allah's Mercy is greater than that of our mothers,
So accept the truth that what Allah gives is what's best.
~•~
Jannah Inn-sha-Allah is the place where we can rest,
After striving to pass Allah's temporary tests.
In Jannatul Ferdaus we can find joy that's perfect.
So stay firm. With Allah, our hearts can always get fixed.
📖 Umm Salamah RadhiAllahu anha narrated: I said, “O Messenger of Allah (SallAllahu alaihi wa sallam), you often supplicate saying: "O Turner of the hearts, affirm my heart upon Your religion." (Allahumma yaa Muqallib al-quloob thabbit qalbi 'alaa Deenik.) Allah's noble Messenger Muhammad SallAllahu alaihi wa sallam responded, “O Umm Salamah, there is no human but his heart is between the Hands of Allah Subhaanahu wa Ta'aala. Whoever He wills is made steadfast and whoever He wills is deviated."
Mu’adh RadhiAllahu anhu recited the verse, “Our Rabb (Allah), do not let our hearts deviate after You have guided us.” (Qur'an 3:8)

Poem: Revive The Sunnah Of The Prophet Muhammad SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam

💐 In The Name Of Allah The Most Gracious The Most Merciful
💌 Some Sunnahs of the Prophet Muhammad SallAllahu alaihi wa sallam to revive:
Two Rak’ahs Sunnah upon entering the Masjid,
Showing respect to elders, being playful with kids,
Helping around the house, being loving to one’s wives,
Staying truthful and when joking never telling lies,
~*~
Fasting regularly every Monday and Thursday,
Brushing and cleansing one’s teeth before one starts to pray,
Exchanging salaams and handshakes when meeting others,
Starting most actions from the right and in odd number,
Meeting loved ones almost always with a cheerful face,
~*~
Praying often Tahajjud at night when most would sleep,
Not complaining about food he did not want to eat,
Brisk and dynamic was his usual way of walking,
Articulate, wise, eloquent, clear and well-spoken,
Courage and softness he could balance beautifully,
~*~
He took proper care of his inner and outward self,
In what is right whenever he could he’d strive to help,
At times to energize he would take afternoon naps,
Knew when to work ambitiously and when to relax,
In lots of Dhikr and Du’as he loved to indulge,
~*~
Da’wah was his mission – enjoin right and forbid wrong,
As a leader and teacher he was brave, smart and strong.
May Allah the Almighty accept all our good deeds,
Allow us in Jannah and Kawthar River. Ameen.
Stick to the Prophet’s Sunnah to join those who have won.

~*~
📖 ‘Amr Ibn ‘Awf RadhiAllahu 'anhu narrated: Allah's noble Messenger Muhammad SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam said, "Know that whoever revives a tradition from my Sunnah if it has died out after me, he will have a reward like those who act upon it without diminishing any of their rewards. Whoever innovates a misguided heresy (bid'ah) not pleasing to Allah and His Messenger, he will have a sin like those who act upon it without diminishing any of the people’s burdens."

Poem: On The Prohibition Of Homosexuality

💐 In The Name Of Allah The Most Gracious The Most Merciful
💌 Some notes on homosexuality – a sin,
A major sin and evil deed forbidden.
It distorts the nature of human beings.
As a sinful desire, it is disgusting,
Among wrongdoings like deceit and stealing.
~•~
Same-sex attraction is what Lut’s people did,
Rebelling and doing the prohibited -
They disobeyed Allah and were conceited.
So stubborn, they chose to remain misguided,
Ignoring their true nature since they were kids.
~•~
Allah the Almighty made Eve for Adam.
Allah made woman for man as companion.
His enemy shaytan, foe of all humans,
Wants strife by messing with Allah's creation,
Eager to misguide them into vile thinking.
~•~
Accursed shaytan loves it when humans lessen
In logic, good morals and population -
When moms don’t give birth but become lesbians,
When manly, tough men act and look feminine,
While others change bodies from discontentment.
~•~
To worship Allah is the aim of mankind,
To obey Allah’s Laws and do what is right.
The opposite gender man was meant to like.
Same-sex attraction, an abnormal desire,
Can be controlled with faith and knowledge acquired.
~•~
One can’t be born with homosexuality,
As babies come to earth completely sin-free.
This may develop in some unknowingly,
As when boys are not stopped when they act girly,
Or when girls get too close unnaturally.
~•~
Attraction may happen when love gets extreme.
So when you like some, do so moderately.
Loving for Allah is a Muslim’s duty,
Guiding and reminding with sincerity.
That same genders can marry we disagree.

Poem: Muslims Love Prophet Jesus

💐 In The Name Of Allah The Most Gracious The Most Merciful
💌 If I were asked ‘What would you say to Allah’s Prophet,
Jesus -Peace be upon him- if you were to meet him?’
I’d say, "Brother Jesus, as-salaamu ‘alaikum.
Don’t worry about those who don’t know that you’re Muslim.
~*~
Dear Jesus, one of Allah’s Prophets, you did your best,
To convey there’s Only One God was your main message.
You strove for Allah’s sake with so much faith and courage,
To worship only One God was what you encouraged.
~*~
As with all of God’s Prophets you had some enemies.
shaytan misled some folks to false claims and disbelief,
Misguiding numbers to trust a lie – ‘the Trinity’.
Believing in more than One God brings disharmony.
~*~
Prophet Jesus, Allah knows you never claimed you’re ‘god’.
It’s our archenemy shaytan who loves strife and fraud.
Dear Jesus, we Muslims believe you’ll be coming back,
Returning before Judgment Day when most will be shocked
~*~
Surprised to know that Prophet Jesus was a Muslim,
Who believed in One God and the Prophet Muhammad [SallAllahu alaihi wa sallam]."
May Allah the Almighty reveal to all the truth
That Jesus is not god, but human like me and you. Ameen.

~*~
📖 Abu Huraira RadhiAllahu 'anhu narrated: Allah's noble Messenger Muhammad SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam said, “By Allah, the son of Mary (Jesus 'alaihis salaam) will descend as a just ruler. He will abolish the cross, kill the swine, and annul the tribute, but he will leave the she-camel such that no one collects from it. He will cause rancor, hatred, and envy to disappear, and he will call people to give their wealth in charity but no one will need it.

Poem: Taqwa Is More Important Than Worldly Joys.

💐 In The Name Of Allah The Most Gracious The Most Merciful
💌 Notes to self and reminders to share, for Allah's sake:
Your worth is not proven in having a pretty face,
Long nose, pouty lips, high cheekbones, not your height nor weight.
Your skin tone and country too don't differentiate.
All humans are Allah's servants regardless of race.
~*~
To Allah, janitors and CEOs are the same.
Whatever one's job is, each of us is Allah's slave,
With strengths, limits and responsibilities to take.
To Allah the most noble are those with the right faith,
Who exceed others in morals, and do good always.
~*~
Being rich is nothing unless your wealth brings goodness,
Guides you to love charity and treat all with kindness.
If it makes you more helpful, your intellect is blessed.
If they keep you grateful while you don't forget the rest,
Allah's gifts to you can lead to spiritual success.
~*~
You're not better than such and such if you lack manners.
Never feel inferior to any unbeliever.
What measure one's value are faith and good character.
As Muslims, compete for Allah's Love and together.
To have Taqwa while trusting Allah is what matters.
~*~
📖 Abu Dharr RadhiAllahu 'anhu narrated: Allah's noble Messenger Muhammad SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam said, "Fear Allah wherever you are, follow a bad deed with a good deed and it will erase it, and behave with good character towards the people."

Poem: Tribute To Niqabi Muslimahs

💐 In The Name Of Allah The Most Gracious The Most Merciful
💌 A tribute for Allah's sake to niqabis,
Courageous sisters who value modesty,
Who dress to please Allah, not society.
Their beauty's reserved for their husbands only.
~*~
Niqab is not just for those who are pretty,
It's for sisters who love acquiring good deeds,
In terms of piety they love to compete,
And set themselves apart from girls who are cheap.
~*~
They're wise enough to know if you have beauty,
Don't flaunt it but treasure it, save it and keep.
Conceal it like gemstones meant for the worthy.
Your best appeal is for your husband only.
~*~
Good looks come in various forms and qualities;
Don't claim niqab is only for the pretty.
The more a Muslimah would dress modestly,
As her esteem, faith and self-respect increase.
~*~
Allah is the One Whom we aspire to please,
We won't change if some view us negatively.
Only noble souls can sense Islam's beauty
And see the worth of modest communities.
~*~
More veiled sisters means less insecurity,
Less comparison to shun adultery.
To cover up willingly is to be free,
Unlike those enslaved by fashion industries.
~*~
Judge niqabis by their personality,
Unique minds and voices - not just the body.
Muslimahs wear hijab and cover fully,
While the niqab enhances one's dignity.
~*~
📖 It was narrated from Safiyyah Bint Shaybah RadhiAllahu 'anha that 'Aisha RadhiAllahu 'anha used to say: "When these words were revealed – “...and to draw their veils all over Juyoobihinna (i.e. their bodies, faces, necks and bosoms)” – they took their izaars (a kind of garment) and tore them from the edges and covered their faces with them."
Narrated by Al-Bukhaari, 4481. The following version was narrated by Abu Dawood (4102): "May Allah have mercy on the Muhaajir women. When Allah revealed the words, “and to draw their veils all over Juyoobihinna (i.e. their bodies, faces, necks and bosoms)”, they tore the thickest of their aprons (a kind of garment) and covered their faces with them."

Poem: Allah Knows Best When To Answer Our Du'as.

💐 In The Name Of Allah The Most Gracious The Most Merciful
💌 Allah the Most Wise answered my Du'as in strange ways.
When I asked Him for guidance, He got me wide awake,
Infatuated with seeking knowledge night and day,
Learning Islam and leaving sins I had to forsake.
~*~
When I asked Him for protection, He exposed ex-friends,
He guided me to recognize actors who pretend,
Who draw fake smiles on their negative vibes I can sense -
So Allah saved me from companions with vile intent.
~*~
When I asked Allah for His forgiveness and mercy,
He gave difficulties that erase past evil deeds,
Caused me to meet jealous folks who betray and mistreat
So I receive their rewards while they gain my misdeeds.
~*~
When I asked Allah to make me among those He loves,
He granted trials to train me to never give up,
Made me an outcast so it's just me and Him Above,
To self-reflect and change until I'm ready enough.
~*~
When I asked Allah to make my character better,
He taught me humbleness by showing those blessed with more,
Contentment each time I remember special others,
And patience through meeting those whose morals are lesser.
~*~
Alhamdulillah I fell in love with solitude
And meaningful silence when friends range from none to few.
Loyalty to my spouse too has raised in magnitude,
Along with good deeds done away from spectators' views.
~*~
May Allah the Most Just answer my Du'as daily,
And join me with those who'll see Him in Jannah. Ameen.
Note: When Allah answers, His responses are timely.
Allah knows best how to make our dreams reality.
~*~

Poem: Know Your Fitrah. No One Is Born "Gay".

💐 In The Name Of Allah The Most Gracious The Most Merciful
💌 Allah knows best. In my opinion, none is born gay.
With Adam for Eve, men were designed to like females.
Same-sex attraction takes place when one exaggerates
One's love for another despite their gender's the same,
Or it is caused by how one was improperly raised.
~*~
Perhaps some gay men were exposed to girl stuff when young,
Played with dolls and make-up till they were into fashion,
Trying women's clothing for fun with all the freedom,
Watching girly films, befriending girls - none to stop them,
Or shaytan misleads them to like guys they find handsome.
~*~
Lesbians or bi-girls may have been brought up roughly,
Told often to 'man up' and quit crying like babies,
Played sports enjoyed by males till they behaved more manly,
Or shaytan misleads them to like girls for their beauty,
Or crush on another female who's smart, brave and sweet.
~*~
Homosexuality is a sin, just like stealing,
Adultery, usury, lying and backbiting.
Evil desire which some incline to, it's forbidden.
It's Jihad for those who strive against this attraction -
All Muslims will be rewarded for avoiding sins.
~*~
Our love for a Muslim must be for Allah only.
When loving other Muslims, let's love moderately.
Avoid prolonged eye-contact and sharing the same sheet,
Don't stare at each other's 'awrah. Do dress modestly.
May Allah the Almighty guide us always. Ameen.

Poem: New Lessons On Love I've Learned

💐 In The Name Of Allah The Most Gracious The Most Merciful
💌 New lessons on love I've learned within a year,
To inspire Muslims to keep those they hold dear.
One: Even though you may find some attractive,
To your spouse you stay loyal and supportive.
~*~
It's possible to like some to a degree,
Yet you love your spouse more with much loyalty.
Two: Don't overlook subtle signs of true love,
Like when for Salah you wake each other up,
~*~
Or when you give each other hugs and kisses,
And when closeness to your spouse you can't resist.
Three: Love stories of others should not threaten,
But inspire you to have your marriage strengthened.
~*~
Be happy for other Muslims' marriage lives,
Focus on succeeding as good husband/wife.
Four: You know your love is genuine and real
When all emotions your lover lets you feel,
~*~
Hating when you miss them, loving their best traits,
Excited to see them, sad when they're away.
Five: Your love is a gift if it lifts Imaan,
Blessed if it helps you patiently understand,
~*~
Directs you to thanking Allah night and day,
And guides you to contentment when you're dismayed.
If something about your soulmate bothers you,
You'll still fall for their other sweet attributes.
~*~
So marriage lasts longer, do it for Allah,
Marry for Allah's sake. Marriage is Sunnah.
Being married doesn't spell out 'perfect life',
There's no perfection except in Paradise.
~*~
📖 Umm Salamah RadhiAllahu 'anha narrated that Allah's noble Messenger Muhammad SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam said, "Any woman who dies while her husband is pleased with her, she will enter Jannah (Paradise)". [At-Tirmidhi]
Arabic/English book reference: Book 1 Hadith 286

Ali Al-Qari said, “That she prostrates to her husband is due to the number of his rights over her and her difficulty in maintaining gratitude for them. This rhetorical point conveys the obligation of the wife to obey her husband in his rights. Indeed, prostration is not lawful to anyone other than Allah.”

Poem: Allah Is With Us, We're Not Alone.

💐 In The Name Of Allah The Most Gracious The Most Merciful
💌 A tribute for Allah's sake to my fellow lone wolves,
Sweet shoutout to remind these packs they are not alone,
Let them know they're 'independent', not lost, confused souls,
Inform them when they're solo they should remain headstrong.
~•~
Dear wolves, never rely on numbers but quality.
Your worth is not measured by your likability.
Don't think large numbers of 'likes' prove Allah loves you too;
Others' dealings with you don't define your true value.
~•~
I admire Muslims who do Da'wah for Allah's sake,
Not after of the likes, not so some could validate,
Not to boost ego, but to please Allah sincerely,
They desire Allah's Pleasure, not popularity.
~•~
Only the insincere would guess they are showing off,
When in reality they work just for Allah's Love.
Sometimes these groups are found alone like strange 'ghurabaa',
As Allah's allies, they strive to uplift the Ummah.
~•~
They're far above sinful talks and evil companions,
In terms of Taqwa they try their best to be champions,
They're tough enough to do the wise thing which few can do,
And when the crowds are led astray, they choose to stay true.
~•~
Their good morals are too much for the mediocre.
Their honesty and frankness intimidate liars.
They're distinguished from others by their late night prayers,
Enjoining right, forbidding wrong, being brave leaders.
~•~
Loners, you're not alone; Allah is always with you.
Allah's Angels of Mercy supplicate for you too.
Keep calm, aware you're one of Allah's close friends scattered,
In Jannah we'll reunite with Allah's supporters.

📖 Abu Sa’eed Al-Khudri RadhiAllahu ‘anhu narrated: Some people from the Ansaar asked the Messenger of Allah SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam and he gave them. Then they asked for charity again and he SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam gave them. Then they asked again and he SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam said gave them until all he had was gone. The Prophet SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam said, “If I had anything, I would not withhold it. Whoever refrains from asking others, then Allah will make him content. Whoever would be independent, then Allah will make him independent. Whoever would be patient, then Allah will make him patient. There is no gift that is better and more comprehensive than patience.”
