Poem: Tips On How To Manage Negative Feelings Of Jealousy

💐 In The Name Of Allah The Most Gracious The Most Merciful
💌 Five tips on how to give jealousy a punch or slap,
Put aside or shove envy so your heart can relax,
Instead of hating on the blessings that others have,
A sign you mistrust Allah's Justice or you forgot
The gifts that Allah gave you and the good times you've had:
~•~
One - Enough with the eye rolls and weird gymnastic acts,
When someone shares info, your ego goes, "Please, shut up,"
Or each time some share their joys, you recall your mishaps.
Drop the grudge and don't duplicate shaytan's prideful act
When he saw Adam ('alaihis salaam) and thought fire is better than dust.
~•~
Two - What people enjoy in dunya, what they show off,
And admirable qualities or merits they've got,
Are given as tests from Allah the Most Wise and Just,
To see what they'll do with every gift, joy and product,
If they're inspired to be kind or if the gifts distract.
~•~
Three - Someone's credentials, appearance, high-paying job,
Social status, ability to travel abroad,
Happy marriage, many kids or fans who back them up,
Can't benefit if they cause one's faith/Imaan to drop.
Dunya's pleasures are nothing if they mostly destruct.
~•~
Four - Stop comparing yourself to those with more or much,
When it comes to worldly matters that can't really last.
Remember those who have less or who lack what you have,
Whose struggles are worse than yours yet they choose to stay tough,
And learn contentment from the Sahabas and Salaf (RadhiAllahu 'anhum).
~•~
Five - With patience, accept what Allah gives, takes and does.
Allowing yourself to envy what another has
Is like unfairly thinking that Allah is "unjust",
While Allah knows when to offer and when to hold back,
And who from His slaves must be patient with others' stuff.
~•~
Defeat shaytan by choosing not to badly react,
When other Muslims display traits or gains which you lack,
Tell yourself, "Alhamdulillah for blessings I have,
For being Muslim, and for all the good times I've had."
People around us are tests. With patience, we can pass.

📖 Abu Huraira RadhiAllahu 'anhu narrated: Allah's noble Messenger Muhammad SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam said, "Beware of suspicion, for suspicion is the most false of tales. Do not seek out faults, do not spy on each other, do not contend with each other, do not envy each other, do not hate each other, and do not turn away from each other. Rather, be servants of Allah as brothers."

Poem: Allah The Almighty Is The Only One Who Can Rightly Judge Us

💐 In The Name Of Allah The Most Gracious The Most Merciful
💌 The similitude of those who judge you instantly
Without knowing you well and the whys behind your deeds
Is that of strangers who assume a man is guilty
Of abusing his wife when he smacks her arm lightly,
Aiming at a mosquito to ensure her safety.
~•~
Critics who describe you with words that do not really
Suit you attempt to insult based on what they perceive,
Like salespersons who clumsily tag products wrongly
As they were distracted or they can't properly read.
People's views on you don't define your reality.
~•~
If you raise your voice at those who can't hear easily,
While your intent is to help them out with sympathy,
Some bystanders may label you as a rude bully,
Viewing you negatively according to few scenes.
No soul can assess you if they don't know you fully.
~•~
As "fishy", "too much", "not good enough" you may be seen
By fellow humans who discovered you recently.
Note each time you're misjudged by some people unfairly
Or you're accused of doing things you wouldn't come near,
Humans err sometimes. Misjudgment mustn't arouse fear.
~•~
How people choose to see you in actuality
Reflects how they feel about themselves and self-esteem.
If some insist on judging you at least partially,
Let them observe what you do and say consistently,
While aware our motives are known to Allah Only.

📖 Ibn Mas'ud RadhiAllahu 'anhu narrated: The Messenger of Allah SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam was distributing charity when a man from the Ansaar said, “By Allah, Muhammad did not intend to please Allah with this!” I came to the Prophet SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam and told him about it, then anger could be seen on his face. The Prophet SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam said, "Moses (Prophet Musa 'alaihis salaam) was hurt by more than this, yet he remained patient."
In another narration, the Prophet Muhammad SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam said, "Who will be just if not Allah and His Messenger?"
