Note: Your Choice Of Friends Can Say A Lot About You

💐 In The Name Of Allah The Most Gracious The Most Merciful

💌 In Surah Al-Furqaan verse 28 Allah the Almighty mentions how some people on the Day of Judgment will regret being friends with the wrong kind of individuals, whose companionship brought no positive value and caused hell/jahannam to be their ultimate destination.
The similitude of a group of pals anxiously blaming each other on the Day of Resurrection is that of a notorious squad of troublemaking bullies who end up in the principal's office. All of them in the gang that is known for bullying the other students get suspended regardless of how active each participant was.
The type of friends you willingly choose to spend time with can significantly impact your overall attitude, beliefs and lifestyle. So never feel guilty about not having many close friends because you're strictly selective regarding who you trust and befriend for Allah's sake.
~ From the qualities of bad companions or toxic people whom we should avoid yet still treat with basic good manners:
1] They enjoy gossiping, spreading rumors, backbiting, making fun of people behind their backs, and fault-finding while disregarding the fact that they're also imperfect.
2] They stubbornly insist on doing acts of bid'ah, refuse to refrain from obvious haraam/forbidden actions, and encourage you to do the same e.g. celebrating birthdays, flirting with non-mahrams, and sketching drawings of living beings.
3] They have zero interest in learning about Islam, they've declined your invitations to join you in attending Islamic lectures or seminars multiple times, and they seem to be overly attached to this worldly life.
4] They're untrustworthy because they've knowingly lied to you more than once, broken a promise without a genuine apology, or you can sense they're secretly jealous of you. Envious people can never be trusted, as they hate seeing you happy or grateful for the blessings that Allah Subhaanahu wa Ta'aala granted you.
5] They have unreasonably high expectations of you and expect you to constantly solve their problems, like you were unknowingly assigned to be their freelance guidance counselor or babysitter in training. Good friends understand your need for space and privacy at times, just as they don't get hurt if you can't always be there for them, since we know that Allah Subhaanahu wa Ta'aala is the Only One Whom we can truly depend on at all times.

📖 Mu’adh ibn Anas RadhiAllahu 'anhu narrated: Allah's noble Messenger Muhammad SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam said, “The best of faith is to love for the sake of Allah, to hate for the sake of Allah, and to keep your tongue busy in the remembrance of Allah.” Mu’adh said, “And what else, O Messenger of Allah?” The Prophet SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam said, “And that you love for the people what you love for yourself, and you hate for them what you hate for yourself, and you speak goodness or remain silent.”
