Hadith: The Mercy Of The Noble Messenger Muhammad SallAllahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam Towards Children

📖 Anas Ibn Malik RadhiAllahu 'anhu narrated: Allah's noble Messenger Muhammad SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam said, "Verily, I might begin the prayer and I intend to prolong it, but then I hear the crying of an infant. I will shorten the prayer as I know his crying will distress his mother."

📖 Shidad Ibn Al-Had RadhiAllahu 'anhu narrated: The Messenger of Allah SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam came out to us for one of the evening prayers and he was carrying his grandson Hasan, or Husayn. The Prophet SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam came forward and put him down, then began the prayer with exaltation and prayed. He prostrated at the end of his prayer for a long time. I raised my head and the child was upon the Prophet's back while he was prostrating, so I returned to my prostration. When the Prophet SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam finished the prayer, people said, “O Messenger of Allah, you prostrated at the end of your prayer for a long time, until we thought that something happened or you received a revelation.” The Prophet SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam said, "None of that that happened. Rather, my grandson was riding on my back and I disliked to rush him before he met his needs."
