Tips: 9 Things Which Social Media Must Never Let You Do

๐Ÿ’ In The Name Of Allah The Most Gracious The Most Merciful

๐Ÿ—’️ Nine things which you must never let social media cause you to do / do not allow browsing around social media to:
1] ...to delay praying the obligatory prayers on a regular basis.
2] ...to frequently distract you from accomplishing your goals, completing assignments and focusing on more important priorities etc.
3] ...to make you question or doubt your self-worth so you start assuming that you're not "good enough", "valuable" or "living a truly meaningful life" while the main purpose of us being created by Allah the Almighty is to worship Only Him Allah Subhaanahu wa Ta'aala instead of trying to constantly satisfy the ego, our wants and desires.
4] ...to make you feel that you're not required to join those who attend actual Islamic classes or listen to beneficial Islamic lectures because skimming through "Islamic quotes" and brief "reminders" online is already considered seeking authentic knowledge of Islam.
5] ...to compel you to become "instant besties" or "close friends" with anybody whom you meet due to feeling "lonesome" or desperately wanting to "fit in" with particular groups of individuals who share the same interests. Be very careful with your selection of trusted companions, since the type of people you choose to network with can significantly affect your attitude, beliefs and decision-making.
6] ...to incite you to act like a nosy spy, resentfully stalking user accounts whom you despise or secretly envy, wasting much of your lifetime observing how strangers live their lives while you neglect your own responsibilities and actions which Allah the Most Wise may interrogate you about on the Day of Judgment.
7] ...to force you to copy ridiculous trends or carry out nonsensical acts, craving drama, people's approval and an increase in the number of your "followers" or "secret admirers". We're on earth, a temporary platform of different trials, to serve only our Creator Allah Subhaanahu wa Ta'aala, not to become enslaved by people's expectations nor to accumulate fans, minions and "loyal advocates".
8] ...to bring about doubts regarding whether or not your spouse, family, relatives and friends or acquaintances actually like you whenever some of them don't respond to most of your messages in a timely manner or you notice that not all of them consistently react to many of your posts. It is possible for several loved ones to wholeheartedly care about your well-being without needing to broadcast their affection for you on social media 24/7.
9] ...to demotivate you and discourage you from continuously striving to do whatever good deeds you can do for Allah's sake whenever you stumble upon negative news, receive criticism or witness that not enough individuals are working as dedicatedly as you. Sincerely do what you believe can lead you closer to Allah's Love without expecting everybody in this world to be your cheerleader.

๐Ÿ“– Abu Huraira RadhiAllahu 'anhu narrated: Allah's noble Messenger Muhammad SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam said, "The strong believer is more beloved to Allah than the weak believer, but there is goodness in both of them. Be eager for what benefits you, seek help from Allah, and do not be frustrated. If something befalls you, then do not say: 'If only I had done something else.' Rather say: "Allah has decreed what He wills." Verily, the phrase ‘if only’ opens the way for the work of shaytan."
