Note: Eat To Live. Don't Live To Eat.

💐 In The Name Of Allah The Most Gracious The Most Merciful
💌 Some "food snobs" like to assume that being rich enough to afford a wide variety of dishes is a sign they're blessed by Allah the Almighty when that isn't the case. The amount of edibles you consume in a day doesn't measure how close you are to Allah Subhaanahu wa Ta'aala. Lots of wealth and easy access to flavorful cuisines do not equal a life full of blessings, if enjoying dunya prevents one from doing charity for Allah's sake while being financially capable.
While Mukbang shows, reviews of snack food that encourage consumerism, and videos of outrageous eating challenges on YouTube may seem entertaining to a specific kind of audience, they are in reality illogical and insensible to those who are aware of the drawbacks of greedily consuming a gigantic platter of delicacies, when they could be sharing it generously with the needy and those in less fortunate circumstances.
It's not a crime to enjoy delectable meals once in a while, especially if your intention is to be generous towards your loved ones and neighbors. What is deplorable and shameful is to attach your self-worth to how much enjoyment you get from worldly pleasures including sex, food and entertainment - fleeting matters which often result in guilt, self-hatred, emotional disturbance, remorse or dissatisfaction.
Eat enough morsels to have sufficient strength and energy for serving Allah Subhaanahu wa Ta'aala. Don't live a life where gluttony and selfish greed distract you from striving for Allah's sake and from being eager to enter Jannah.
