May Allah the Almighty grant us more beneficial knowledge, accept our good deeds, forgive our mistakes, protect us from fitna, and join us with the righteous believers in Jannatul Ferdaus. Ameen.

Poem: Affirmations As A Muslimah Wearing Niqab

๐Ÿ’ In The Name Of Allah The Most Gracious The Most Merciful
๐Ÿ’Œ I wear the niqab not because I lack confidence
To show my face nor is it worn to please my husband.
I wear it for Allah, to join the pious women,
And so I'm judged for what's in my heart, not appearance.
~•~
The niqab doesn't symbolize I'm hiding something
Nor does it convey I'm so ignorant of fashion.
The veil is an emblem of being Allah's servant,
A Muslim, who by society is not governed.
~•~
A lady's charms that Allah gave aren't for flaunting
And showcasing to anyone like a cheap item.
A Muslimah's body serves Allah and obeys Him
In valuing the hijaab, as a Muslim woman.
~•~
With the hijaab and niqaab among male non-mahrams,
We avoid causing fitna, walking as distractions,
And modesty affirms we're Allah's humble servants.
The choice to shield and guard one's treasures implies freedom.
~•~
Veiling for Allah is an option we have chosen,
Eager to comply with Allah's Laws and Commandments.
With hijaab and niqaab, we wish to be obedient,
Earning Allah's Love when tough moments enhance patience.

๐Ÿ“– It was narrated from Safiyyah Bint Shaybah RadhiAllahu 'anha that 'Aisha RadhiAllahu 'anha used to say: "When these words were revealed – “...and to draw their veils all over Juyoobihinna (i.e. their bodies, faces, necks and bosoms)” – they took their izaars (a kind of garment) and tore them from the edges and covered their faces with them."
Narrated by Al-Bukhaari, 4481
The following version was narrated by Abu Dawood (4102): "May Allah have mercy on the Muhaajir women. When Allah revealed the words, “and to draw their veils all over Juyoobihinna (i.e. their bodies, faces, necks and bosoms)”, they tore the thickest of their aprons (a kind of garment) and covered their faces with them."
๐Ÿ“– 'Aisha RadhiAllahu 'anha narrated: "The believing women would pray the dawn prayer with the Prophet SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam. Then, they would return home wrapped in their mantles (long cloaks); they would not be recognized by anyone."

๐Ÿ“– Abu Udhaynah RadhiAllahu 'anhu narrated: Allah's noble Messenger Muhammad SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam said, "The best of your women are loving, fertile, suitable, and comforting, if they fear Allah. The worst of your women unveil their beauty, take pride in their appearance, and they are hypocrites. None of them will enter Paradise except as rarely as you see a red-beaked crow."
