💐 In The Name Of Allah The Most Gracious The Most Merciful
💌 Five tips to befriend yourself and practice self-respect,
While trusting Allah and with His Love you're contented,
Unbothered by grudges from those whom He created,
So through quality time with Allah you're comforted,
And solitude boosts inner peace and self-awareness:
~•~
One: Live for Allah. Strive to do what Allah ordered.
Serve Allah, not vile desires. Aim to pass Allah's tests.
The more you please Allah through sincere acts of worship,
Like reading Qur'an often, at least a few pages,
The stronger your faith and the more serene your heart gets.
~•~
Two: Guard your nafs. Avoid what Allah prohibited.
To refrain from major and minor sins do your best.
Stay away from sinning, while aware you're not perfect,
Because wrongdoings like backbiting lead to regret,
A heart that feels empty, or emotional unrest.
~•~
Three: Gladly like yourself. Never chase people's respect.
Strong bond with Allah, which leads to inward happiness,
Can assure bliss without befriending each soul you've met.
The close friends you socialize with carefully select,
Since links with troublesome persons breed unhappiness.
~•~
Four: Gifts Allah distributed patiently accept.
Don't discredit yourself by choosing to feel upset
And jealous of another Muslim's blessings and test.
Strangers' vlogs and posts that can trigger envy forget.
Focus on self-improvement. Don't stalk others' progress.
~•~
Five: Treat yourself kindly. It's fine if you're imperfect.
It's human to make mistakes and carry some defects.
What's foul is forgetting that Allah loves to forgive.
Do what you can to obey Allah, and when you slip,
When you fall into fitna, seek Allah's Forgiveness.
~•~
Again, what we must do to maintain wise self-respect:
Live for Allah. No attachments to the created.
Ensure our duties to Allah are not neglected.
Discard from ourselves qualities which Allah detests,
And for Allah's Guidance and Mercy always request.

Verily, You alone are the Forgiving, the Merciful.'"
