Poem: Take Care Of Your Dear Parents Especially Your Mom

💐 In The Name Of Allah The Most Gracious The Most Merciful

💌 To those who spend much of their time nowadays caring
For their moms who reached old age, or became bedridden,
Who accompany them to hospitals now and then,
Who feed and bathe them daily as their moms have weakened:
Know Allah loves you. Take care of your mom with patience.
~•~
I've done it before, striving to care for my dear mom,
Lifting her to the bathroom though I wasn't so strong,
Bathing her often like she bathed me when I was young,
Massaging her legs, and feeding her with my right hand,
Praying that my mom gets better until she was gone.
~•~
So no matter how tiring your situation is,
Whether you're tired enough with work or have your own kids,
Or caring for your mom can conflict with your marriage,
Recall how your mom worked so hard when you were a kid,
How she let herself get tired so you'd be comforted.
~•~
Thus don't give up. Never think of sending her away
To a place where strangers may not care for her with faith.
Continue taking good care of her for Allah's sake.
Remember those times when she fed you without complaint,
Taught you how to walk and helped you without being paid.
~•~
She's still your mother even if she forgot your name.
She still loves you despite not recognizing your face.
Pray that in Paradise you'll be together again,
Free from challenging tests, worries, grief and exhaustion.
Strive, brave Muslim. Allah loves those who remain patient.
