๐ In The Name Of Allah The Most Gracious The Most Merciful
๐ Three instances when you have every right to end it -
A toxic bond with those who hurt you without regret,
And friendship with someone who has zero interest
In strengthening piety and passing Allah's tests,
Even if they seem sorry for past slights and missteps:
~•~
First instance: When damage they've caused they refuse to fix,
When they withhold sincere apology yet expect
You to forgive them for the serious mistakes they did,
And they've no plans to make up for broken promises,
Reconciling with them brings no moral benefit.
~•~
Second: When the words they previously described you with
And their false accusations are too foul to forget,
When each time you talk to them you're sadly reminded
Of their lousy jokes and awful remarks they once said,
Don't reconnect with souls who relish lies and gossip.
~•~
Third: When the vibes they emit are clearly negative,
As they hide some truths from you or they envy your gifts,
And attempting to restore links makes it feel as if
You're a bird re-entering a cage it exited
Or a careless prey that serves as an easy target.
~•~
With those who are bad for us no need to reconnect.
By doing this we're not prideful, but trying our best
To choose correctly whilst striving to pass Allah's tests.
People can drain or inspire us. Carefully select
Friends whose presence carries more blessings than demerits.
