May Allah the Almighty grant us more beneficial knowledge, accept our good deeds, forgive our mistakes, protect us from fitna, and join us with the righteous believers in Jannatul Ferdaus. Ameen.

Poem: Don't Be A People-Pleaser - Say No When You Need To

💐 In The Name Of Allah The Most Gracious The Most Merciful

📝 For Allah the Most Wise respect yourself enough to
Say no to people about things you can't always do,
Cancel certain appointments when you are going through
Some challenges, and decline invitations which you
Receive during times when you've got many tasks to do.
~•~
From Allah's tests which we humans may sometimes go through
Is facing situations in which we're required to
Say no to loved ones and get rejected by some too.
Saying no to fellow servants at times clearly proves
We're not people-pleasers and they shouldn't please us too.
~•~
Allah knows well there are some things we can't always do,
Can't always accomplish, eschew, accept and approve.
This shows we've got limitations and inspires us to
Humbly acknowledge we're imperfect, while people who
Must disappoint us remind us they're imperfect too.
~•~
Through those circumstances there are many chances to
Be patient as Allah decides to prevent, refuse,
Withhold, multiply, decrease, provide, add and remove.
Allah controls everything and has the right to choose
What can occur on earth and what shouldn't continue.
~•~
When we know for sure there's something we can't really do,
We mustn't feel guilty saying no to humans who
Sometimes have no choice but they must say no to us too.
Good friends not guilty of kibr should be able to
Forgive when told "no", with or without valid excuse.

📖 Abu Huraira RadhiAllahu ‘anhu narrated: Allah's noble Messenger Muhammad SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam said, “The strong believer is more beloved to Allah (The Almighty) than the weak believer, but there is goodness in both of them. Be eager for what benefits you, seek help from Allah (Subhaanahu wa Ta'aala), and do not be frustrated. If something befalls you, then do not say: 'If only I had done something else.’ Rather say: "Allah has decreed what He wills.”. (QaddarAllahu wa maa shaa-a fa'al) Verily, the phrase ‘if only’ opens the way for the work of shaytan.“
