Poem: If You Knew Exactly When You'd Die

💐 In The Name Of Allah The Most Gracious The Most Merciful

💌 If you knew you had just two weeks left before you’ll die,

What deeds will you rush to do, which tasks you’ll sacrifice,

What actions would you start doing and prioritize,

To whom will you declare your love which you’ve kept inside?

If you knew you had one month left for you to survive,

Will you delete all your selfies, abandon desires,

Repent and ask Allah to forgive your wrongs and crimes?

Who would you reach out to, to thank and apologize?

If you knew that very soon you’ll leave this worldly life,

Will you hurriedly return to Allah the Most Wise,

Cry for Allah’s Mercy, pray Tahajjud late at night,

Strive to do charity, and perform Salah on time?

If you knew that anytime you’ll have to say goodbye,

Will you make sure you’ve paid your debts, try to be more kind,

Transform yourself positively and share your good vibes,

Teach people about Islam, and leave knowledge behind?

Keep in mind, Only Allah knows when we’ll leave this life,

So strive to do what you can to deserve Paradise,

Say Du'a and Dhikr, and from the Qur'an recite,

Whether our lifespan is long or short, at least we tried.

📖 Ibn ‘Abbas RadhiAllahu 'anhuma narrated: Allah’s noble Messenger Muhammad SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam said, “Take advantage of five before five: Your youth before your old age, your health before your illness, your riches before your poverty, your free time before your work, and your life before your death.”

Poem: What It Means To Be Actually Arrogant

💐 In The Name Of Allah The Most Gracious The Most Merciful

💌 I believe Allah is the Greatest, Above all things,

The One Who made us servants to worship Only Him.

Among the worst traits which Allah hates is arrogance -

To act as though oneself is better than everyone.

The genuinely arrogant aren’t teachable.

They assume they’re perfect, and avoid being helpful.

They’re likely materialistic. They loathe what’s simple,

Looking down on the less fortunate and poor people.

~•~

The arrogant would say statements like, “There is no way

I’ll talk to them. They’re ‘hizbi’, astray, they’ll never change.”

Or “Unless they’re wealthy, I don’t care if they’re okay.”

The prideful can’t say sorry nor forgive your mistakes.

~•~

The arrogant when given advice feel insulted,

Suspect your niyyah, and detest being reminded.

Ironically they love being congratulated

Yet when others thrive they feel belittled and jealous.

~•~

Confidence is a strength granted by Allah Most Wise,

While actual arrogance causes people to deny

The truth of the reality of this worldly life -

Such pride weakens faith and makes one forget Paradise.

📖 Jabir Ibn Abdullah RadhiAllahu 'anhu narrated: Allah’s noble Messenger Muhammad SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam said, “Verily, the most beloved and nearest to my gathering on the Day of Resurrection are those of you with the best character. Verily, the most reprehensible of you to me and the farthest from my gathering on the Day of Resurrection will be the pompous, the extravagant, and the pretentious.” They said, “O Messenger of Allah, we know the pompous and the extravagant, but who are the pretentious?” The Prophet SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam said, “The arrogant.”

Poem: Contented With The One Whom Allah Chose As My Spouse

💐 In The Name Of Allah The Most Gracious The Most Merciful

💌 Years ago in my teens I asked Allah for a spouse,

A guy I'd always love even when he's not around, 

A soulmate who's understanding until I have found

That Allah gave me a husband - wed him in Davao. 

Though we're cousins I believe this marriage is profound.

Alhamdulillah in spite of his imperfections, 

I've trained myself to love him for Allah with patience. 

My spouse is a gift which I accept with contentment. 

Although unappealing to some, I find him handsome

From his hard work to his tenderness towards children.

~•~

Most assume he's neglectful when he doesn't show up,

When he remarried as if one wife isn't enough, 

Yet I keep on loving him despite things can get rough, 

As I've seen his struggles and moments he proved his love -

The type of love that inspires my faith to be more tough. 

~•~

When he works as a doctor in another city, 

And we meet each other once a week or biweekly, 

I train my heart to stay attached to Allah Only, 

Aware that dunya and its tests are temporary. 

Note: A marriage is blessed if it strengthens piety.

I'm grateful Alhamdulillah that Allah bestowed

Upon me a spouse whose heart is more splendid than gold. 

Together I hope we can pass Allah's tests and grow

In Imaan, and earn Jannah as our final abode

For trusting Allah Who grants what is best for our souls.

📖 Thawban RadhiAllahu 'anhu narrated: When the verse was revealed, "And those who hoard gold and silver," (Surah At-Tawbah 9:34), some of the companions said, “This was revealed about gold and silver. Were it only revealed that we may know which wealth is best to take.” The Messenger Muhammad SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam said, "The best wealth is a tongue that remembers Allah, a grateful heart, and a believing wife to help him in his faith."

In another narration, the Prophet SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam said, “And a believing wife to help one of you in matters of the Hereafter.”

Poem: She Trusts Allah And Allah's Love Is Enough

💐 In The Name Of Allah The Most Gracious The Most Merciful
💌 Because she knows Allah is watching, and she trusts Him,
She walks among the crowd not caring what people think.
With her hijab, niqab and long abaya flowing,
She's like a queen whose strong Imaan keeps her confident.

It's okay if spectators laugh as she passes by.
The wise don't interact with those whose tactics hold lies.
Scowls and spiteful remarks simply make her smile inside,
Grateful for the rewards she earns when haters deride.
~•~
Maybe she's quiet while brave modesty speaks for her.
Her hijab is a statement that she isn't bothered
To be up to date with fashion and its low standards.
Meeting Allah in Jannah is what truly matters.
~•~
Her jilbab, khimar and abaya speak volumes too,
Confirming she loves Allah the most with gratitude,
Not minding if like-minded friends range from none to few,
Concerned only with Allah's Love as her faith stays true.

A Muslimah with a mission to deserve Jannah,
She does whatever she can to please Only Allah,
By obeying Allah's Commands, loving the Sunnah,
And surviving each trial with patience and Taqwa.
📖 Ubadah ibn As-Samit RadhiAllahu anhu narrated that Allah's noble Messenger Muhammad SallAllahu alaihi wa sallam said, “Verily, among the best of faith is that you know Allah is with you wherever you are.”

Poem: Never Lose Hope In Allah's Ability To Forgive Us.

💌 In The Name Of Allah The Most Gracious The Most Merciful

💐 SubhanAllah Al-‘Atheem. It’s strange how nowadays

Time flies by too quickly we feel stressed almost always,

Yet we’re willing to do what we can for Allah’s sake,

Aware that this is one of the signs of Judgment Day.

Have you felt those special moments when you’d supplicate

To Allah the Almighty as tears roll down your face?

You cry to Allah with lots of hope yet so afraid,

Fearful you’re not good enough to receive Allah’s Grace?

~•~

Some may ask themselves the following with much dismay,

“After all the awful wrongs I used to do and say,

Major and minor sins, hidden faults, those on display,

And sinful thoughts - can I be brought back to the Straight Way?

~•~

Am I worthy of Allah’s Love, can He forgive me

When I couldn’t help the oppressed Muslims and needy,

Not doing enough charity due to my own needs,

So all I can do is pray that world peace is released?”

~•~

Have you seen your worries emerge in the form of tears,

Worried about life problems with solutions unclear,

Wondering what you should do to grant your loved ones’ needs,

Without neglecting the rights of Allah Almighty?

Indeed it stresses you out to have many duties,

While there are so much more you can do, you still believe.

Some quick tips to share: Trust Allah. Do Tawbah daily.

Say your Du'as. Seek Islamic knowledge constantly.

Attaining Allah’s Love is achieved in many ways,

So long as He accepts them and they’re done sincerely.

May Allah decree that we join those who’ll see His Face

In Jannah for our faith and patient striving. Ameen.

📖 Abu Sa’eed Al-Khudri RadhiAllahu 'anhu narrated: Some people from the Ansaar asked the Messenger of Allah SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam and he gave them. Then they asked for charity again and he gave them. Then they asked again and he SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam gave them until all he had was gone. The Prophet SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam said, “If I had anything, I would not withhold it. Whoever refrains from asking others, then Allah will make him contented. Whoever would be independent, then Allah will make him independent. Whoever would be patient, then Allah will make him patient. There is no gift that is better and more comprehensive than patience.”
