Poem: Trust Allah, Strive For Him And Believe That Allah Controls Everything

💐 In The Name Of Allah The Most Gracious The Most Merciful
💌 No matter how much effort you put in achieving
Something, like organizing an event or meeting,
Marrying someone, finding a decent profession,
Accomplishing tasks or transactions, or networking,
Never can it occur if it was never destined.
~•~
Allah, our Creator, is the One to determine
What we receive, what we go through, and what He prevents,
Who from His servants are meant to meet us and befriend,
And who from His slaves are chosen to test our patience.
Trust Allah and know our Qadr is controlled by Him.
~•~
When your plans don't work out as you liked or imagined,
When told "no, it can't be done" or "next time, try again",
Or chances are too slim for a project to happen,
Be glad at least you tried to fulfill undertakings,
While you gained Allah's Love for your patient contentment.
~•~
Believe there's no "sayang", "all our attempts meant nothing",
And "what a waste" if your faith is strong as a Muslim.
Hope for rewards from Allah for sincere good actions,
Sins falling off with each stress, ache and disappointment,
And being tested by Allah means you're loved by Him.
~•~
Alhamdulillah for Allah's Mercy and Guidance.
Despite outcomes, we're rewarded for our intentions.
When eager to fulfill dreams or achieve anything,
Have full trust in Allah, strive, accept what He destines.
If you fail, at least win Jannah for staying patient.
~•~
📖 Suhayb RadhiAllahu 'anhu narrated: Allah's noble Messenger Muhammad SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam said, "Amazing is the affair of the believer, as there is good for him in every matter. This is not the case for anyone but for the believer. If he goes through ease (or happy moments), he thanks Allah and it is good for him. If he goes through difficulty, he shows patience and it is good for him."

A man is put to trial according to his Deen/religion. If he is firm in his religion, his trials will be more severe. If he is weak in his religion, he is put to trial according to his strength in religion. The servant will continue to be put to trial until he is left walking upon the earth without any sin."

Poem: Confession On The Few Good Souls Whom I Love For Allah's Sake

💐 In The Name Of Allah The Most Gracious The Most Merciful
💌 Dear Allah, O' Most Merciful One I must confess,
Tell You of three groups I like, who strive to pass Your tests.
I admire them from a distance and wish to join them -
No jealousy do I hold but pure admiration.
~•~
First group I love for Allah's sake consists of Muslims
Who enjoy praying on time and doing ablution,
Finding peace in constant Dhikr and supplications,
In their worship of Allah they're in competition.
~•~
Second team I admire are those with noble manners,
Good vibes radiate from their beautiful character,
Cheerful, understanding, most of the time found smiling,
Patient, courageous, honest, truthful and forgiving.
~•~
Third squad I secretly wish to be like are givers,
Loyal volunteers and generous contributors,
From their wealth they do charity and help the needy,
Giving without expecting thanks so generously.
~•~
I have a huge platonic crush on those with all three,
Muslims with Taqwa, who in righteous actions compete,
Blessed to have excellent morals with inner beauty,
Active in doing Da'wah and charitable deeds.
~•~
I love these Muslims for Your sake O' Allah Most High,
So please take me with them into Jannah Paradise.
List my name beside those who are destined to see You
Smiling back at us for the good deeds we used to do.
~•~
May Allah the Almighty team us with those He loves,
Guide us to support those decreed to meet Him above,
Make us the type of allies He ordered us to be,
A blessing to all Muslim communities. Ameen.

Poem: Be Brave Enough For Allah To Defend Those Who Are Being Gossiped About

💐 In The Name Of Allah The Most Gracious The Most Merciful
💌 To those with friends who indulge in childish gossiping,
Who collect sins through character assassination
And who misuse their voice for lying and backbiting:
Are you too scared to defend those who are backbitten,
Or are you as low as gossipers so you join them?
~•~
Three things, if you do them, signify you're guilty too
Of backbiting since you're sad, jealous or insecure:
One: When your friends make jokes to destroy someone's repute,
You chime in, add remarks like "Yeah, she's weird. That's for sure.",
"You're right. His dark teeth are nasty. He's one ugly dude."
~•~
And "I agree. She eats so much. Even more than pigs."
Two: When you pass by friends preoccupied with gossip,
Or they mock absentees in a way that's offensive,
You laugh out loud, giggle, and become more attentive,
Not stopping the sinful talk nor changing the subject.
~•~
Three: When you overhear someone's name being tarnished,
Or witness colleagues verbally spoil their good image,
All you do is listen, with a smile, cowardly sit,
And refuse to say a word, afraid they'll get upset.
Why not leave them till they're done eating a Muslim's flesh?
~•~
Next time clowns and jokesters joke about one who's absent,
Speak up, or comment with "It's wrong to be backbiting.",
Say something positive to deflect their foul statements,
Or ditch that group with toxic souls who gain people's sins.
Pure hearts are allergic to nonsense and gossiping.

Poem: The More Contented You Are With Allah's Qadr While You're Confident The Less Likely You'll Feel Jealous

💐 In The Name Of Allah The Most Gracious The Most Merciful
💌 I have a childhood friend who got married years ago
Back in Saudi when she was around fifteen years old.
She became a teen mom, same with my mother-in-law,
Whom Allah blessed with twelve kids and with grandkids bestowed.
Am I jealous of young couples and teen parents? No.
~•~
I know some ladies who married non-Filipinos,
Syrian, Pakistani, Lebanese, French and so on.
I'm aware of wives who receive from their husbands gold,
Flowers once in a while or fine cars for them to own.
Am I jealous of those with happy marriages? No.
~•~
I've witnessed there are writers who published what they wrote,
Rich Muslims who travel often and who can afford
Lavish meals, expensive clothes and extravagant homes,
And people with pleasant faces who are fit and tall.
Am I jealous of what Allah gave them? Not at all.
~•~
A materialistic person can flaunt, brag and boast
About their achievements, worldly joys and wealth they hoard,
Broadcast their talents, 'perfect love life', and their so-called
Happiness from the things enjoyed in this fleeting world,
And I'll be unimpressed, bored, coz am I jealous? No.
~•~
I just respect, not envy, the guided and pious,
Who spend their income for Allah so by Him they're loved,
Who do Da'wah for Allah, and they're inwardly tough,
Being sincerely generous with hearts pure and soft.
Allah's friends I admire. They prompt us to level up.
~•~
📖 Abdullah Ibn Mas’ud RadhiAllahu 'anhu narrated: Allah's noble Messenger Muhammad SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam said, "There is no envy but in two cases: A man whom Allah has given wealth and he spends it rightly, and a man whom Allah has given wisdom and he judges and teaches others with it."

Poem: Signs Of Trustworthy Scholars And Students Of Knowledge We Can Learn From

💐 In The Name Of Allah The Most Gracious The Most Merciful
💌 In modern times like these, when speakers are so many,
How do we tell apart the frauds from the trustworthy?
What signs must we look for that suggest one is sincere,
Who invites others to Allah and His Prophet dear (Muhammad SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam),
Who revives the Sunnah in a way that's sound and clear?
~•~
First of all, be careful of those misguided 'scholars',
Many of whom seek fame and aim to gain 'followers'.
Their likes like to 'modernize' and change Allah's Orders,
Abolish the hijab, beard and 'old-fashioned' matters,
And legalize same genders to marry each other.
~•~
They're the kind to claim that music isn't forbidden,
That it's fine for men and women to dance at weddings,
That it's cool to take drugs, glorify masturbation,
Talk to the dead, seek counseling in fortune-telling,
And bribe on condition that one has 'good intention'.
~•~
Notice how some of them grin when photos are taken
Of themselves as though they're celebs pros at modeling,
With large pictures of their faces on books they've written,
As if their names, not Islam, are what they're promoting,
And their conferences demand costly admission.
~•~
In contrast, those whom Allah granted actual knowledge
Share Islam to serve Allah, not garnish their image.
Often they cite proofs from the Noble Qur'an, Hadith,
And from the salaf, ensuring they're all authentic,
Truly supportive of the Sunnah of the Prophet (Muhammad SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam).
~•~
Humble and generous in conducting their classes,
Not requiring payment for lectures in the Masjid,
Unafraid to pause their talks when it's time for worship,
These scholars want Allah's Love, not to become famous,
And their faith stays firm when by some critics they're hated.
~•~
Oftentimes in their Friday sermons they shed some tears,
Eager to teach the Ummah, proof their hearts are sincere.
With Allah as the Only One Whom they trust and fear,
They strive to ensure the Sunnah doesn't disappear.
They use their voice for Allah, not so they're widely heard.

📖 Abu Darda RadhiAllahu 'anhu narrated: Allah's noble Messenger Muhammad SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam said: "Verily, the angels lower their wings for the seeker of knowledge. The inhabitants of the heavens and earth, even the fish in the depths of the sea, seek forgiveness for the scholar. The virtue of the scholar over the worshiper is like the superiority of the moon over the stars. The scholars are the inheritors of the Prophets. They do not leave behind gold or silver coins, but rather they leave behind knowledge. Whoever has taken hold of it has been given an abundant share."
