Poem: Righteous Friends Even If Only Few Are From Allah's Many Blessings

💐 In The Name Of Allah The Most Gracious The Most Merciful
🗒️ Good friends, even if they're few, are from Allah's blessings.
With Allah's Will our faith/Imaan level gets strengthened
In their presence and we pray for them in their absence.
Reminders to fear Only Allah, to stay patient,
And to learn Islam are from our discussions often.
~•~
Instead of gossiping and spreading lies, they mention
Only truth and what pleases Allah the All-Knowing.
They're blessed with inner strength to refrain from backbiting -
When they err and forget now and then since they're humans,
They quickly resort to Tawbah sincere repentance.
~•~
Instead of forcing you to do something upsetting
Or unsettling, they advise for your well-being,
Share some suggestions so you're closer to improvement,
And you're frequently mentioned in their supplications,
Eager to hear you thrive and make the right decisions.
~•~
Instead of secretly envying your achievements
Or judging you based on your weight gain and appearance,
They're glad when you're smiling, worried when you're complaining,
And your triumphs or halal earnings don't threaten them.
They're genuine when they shower you with compliments.
~•~
Instead of planning meet-ups just for entertainment,
Even if your gatherings are not very frequent,
They gather for Allah to exchange information
That can cause their faith Imaan levels to be strengthened.
Righteous friends, even if few, are from Allah's blessings.
~•~
They don't deal with emotional manipulation.
"Selfish", "rude" and "manipulative" don't describe them.
They're kind and value honesty even when joking.
They're a mirror to you and you're a mirror to them -
Pious friends wish to see you in a good condition.
~•~
You know that someone's a friend and from Allah's blessings
If they inspire you to become a better Muslim,
Despite some of their delayed replies and shortcomings.
Loving them for Allah makes you very forgiving.
Pray that in Jannah Paradise there's a reunion.
~•~

Note: Sharing Some Lessons Learned From Our 2nd Or 3rd Visit To Malagos Garden Resort Here In Davao Philippines

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

🗒️ 7 life lessons learned to share from our 2nd (or third?) visit to Malagos Garden Resort some time after Eid Al-Fitr here in the Philippines but this time with a caring friend and some of her family members etc.

1🔹 Even if the skies appear clear, bringing an umbrella can be very useful, also as a sutrah when you're praying.
2🔹 Try to make it a habit as a Muslim to carry with you a long shawl or extra rectangular hijab which you can use as a prayer mat or bring a light carpet whenever you go outdoors so Inn-sha-Allah you can pray in some quiet areas/corners when it's time to pray.
3🔹 Make it a habit to perform proper wudhu/ablution before putting socks on and going out for the next Salah/prayer so you can pray when it's Salah time instead of delaying.
4🔹 The kind of friends you socialize with often, even if you meet up with them just once a month or once every two months, can significantly impact your faith/Imaan. It is better to have a pious friend who reminds you with "Are you going to pray Tahajjud?", "How about we fast tomorrow and have Suhur together?, Even with bread and eggs?", "Did you complete reading Surah Al-Kahf today Jumuah Friday?", "Remember to purify your niyyah/intention", and "Fix your hijab - some of your hair are sticking out" etc. than to be asked "What do you say we go to the cinema tonight and watch the latest movie?", "You want a cigarette? It can relieve your stress." and "Can you share with me your playlist of favorite music videos?" etc.
5🔹 If you're serious about maintaining a particular friendship and ensuring that it can last longer
Inn-sha-Allah for Allah's sake, we need to strive to stay patient with our friends' mistakes, occasional forgetfulness, delayed responses when they feel too tired or they're too busy to check their inbox and patiently move on from unavoidable misunderstandings.
Don't allow your ego/pride to be the cause of a friendship breakup as much as possible.
6🔹 Regularly include your friends and the individuals whom you care about for Allah's sake in your Du'as/supplications, particularly if they have spent a lot of money on you - ask Allah Subhaanahu wa Ta'aala to reward them immensely in both worlds for their generosity and that you too can kindly return their favors some time in the future.
7🔹 Some things were destined by Allah the Almighty to be yours to keep and benefit from, while other things were not decreed at all by Allah the Most Wise for you. For instance, I was looking forward to trying some juicy lanzones fruits one day but throughout the whole outing from Malita to Davao city I didn't really get the chance to try more than one lanzones (if I even took one - I mostly remember feeding the younger child of my friend several lanzones but not eating any since I was fasting that time) yet the dear sister in Islam gave me one abaya which was a pleasant surprise and she told me I could keep it, MashaAllah, when my other abaya was not yet fully dry from the laundry (and it was raining multiple times). May Allah the Most Merciful bless her wealth, accept her good deeds, strengthen her faith Imaan, protect her and her loved ones at all times and guide her other family members and relatives to sincerely understanding and embracing the truth Islam and correct 'Aqeedah at the most ideal timing. Ameen.
Learn to patiently accept Allah's Qadr/Decree instead of unreasonably expecting a life devoid of problems and struggles just because you put effort in attaining piety.
Avoid constantly comparing your life to others' journeys as Allah Al-Hakeem always knows what's best for us in both worlds based on the unique roles He Subhaanahu wa Ta'aala granted us together with our current circumstances, abilities and actual needs.

❓ Question: For example, just today as a passenger I gave the jeepney driver in the Philippines a bottle of lemon juice when I could've given him a bottle of water that wasn't used at all. I thought I had a bottle of water in my bag but I figured maybe I drank from it and giving him that bottle would be inappropriate so I gave him a bottle of lemon juice I newly bought before going to that jeepney. What 11 lessons can be learned from this instance? That bottle of water was placed in my bag from yesterday's island hopping trip and it could've been given to the jeepney driver so at least he has a bottle of water and bottle of lemon drink.
💻 ChatGPT: That’s an interesting real-life scenario with several meaningful lessons. Here are 11 lessons from this experience:

Spiritual & Moral Lessons

Intentions Matter – Your goal was to give, and in Islam, intentions weigh heavily in good deeds (Hadith: "Actions are judged by intentions").

Provision is from Allah – The driver still received a drink, and Allah the Most Wise provides His servants in different ways.

Generosity Takes Many Forms – While water might have been ideal, your act of giving still benefited him.

The Power of Small Acts of Kindness – Even small gestures can make a difference in someone’s day.

Practical & Mindfulness Lessons

Be More Aware of Available Resources – A quick check of your bag before making a decision could have helped.

Organization Matters – Knowing exactly what you have in your bag can help make better choices.

Thinking Before Acting – A moment of extra reflection might have led to realizing that the water was untouched.

Decision-Making & Reflection Lessons

Even "Better" Choices Have Trade-offs – If you gave him the water, you might have felt that lemon juice would have been a nice extra.

Learn from Small Mistakes to Improve Future Decisions – Next time, you might double-check before deciding what to give.

Every Situation Has a Lesson – Even small moments in daily life can be sources of wisdom and self-improvement.

Gratitude & Acceptance – Appreciate that despite the mix-up, good still came out of it.

At the end of the day, what matters most is that you shared what you had, and that’s already a meaningful act.
