💐 In The Name Of Allah The Most Gracious The Most Merciful
💌 Sometimes Allah may test you with someone's misconduct,
Through meeting toxic people who want you to react
In a way that would soothe their sadness or disturbed nafs,
And the best way to respond is to ignore their acts,
Let their rudeness assert that their envy is a fact.
~•~
Take it as a compliment when the rude and unjust
Insult you when you err, yet when you thrive they shut up.
Their scowls and discourtesy are signs that it's obvious
They're jealous of your good traits and strong faith which they lack.
Be glad you're not insecure, wanting what each soul has.
~•~
When treated unkindly, when some mock you just like that,
And when crowds begrudge you for Allah's gifts which you've got,
Smile, as you thank Allah for not having what they have -
A soul that doubts Allah's Wisdom and which can't relax.
Self-hatred is why they treat you with scornful conduct.

📖 Abu Huraira RadhiAllahu 'anhu narrated: Allah's noble Messenger Muhammad SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam said, "Faith and envy do not combine within a believing servant."
In another narration, the Prophet Muhammad SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam said, "Greed and faith are never combined in the heart of a servant."

📖 Abdullah Ibn Amr RadhiAllahu 'anhu narrated: I said, “O Messenger of Allah, who are the best people?” The Messenger of Allah SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam said, “One with a heart swept clean and truthful in speech.” We said, “O Messenger of Allah, we know truthful in speech. What is a heart swept clean ("al-qalb al-makhmoom")?” The Prophet Muhammad SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam said, "One that is mindful of Allah (Subhaanahu wa Ta'aala) and pure, in which there is no sin, nor aggression, nor envy." We said, “Who shows a sign of it?” The Prophet SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam said, "One who hates worldliness and loves the Hereafter." They said, “And who shows a sign of it?” The Prophet SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam said, "A believer with good character."
