People do not gather in the Houses of Allah, reciting the Book of Allah and studying It together, but that tranquility will descend upon them, Mercy will cover them, Angels will surround them, and Allah will mention them to those near Him."

Whoever calls to misguidance will have sin upon him similar to those who follow him, without detracting from their sins at all."

Poem: Some Lessons Learned From The Life Of Prophet Yusuf 'Alaihis-Salaam

💐 In The Name Of Allah The Most Gracious The Most Merciful

💌 Eleven lessons learned from Prophet Yusuf's story -

Son of Ya'qoob, son of Ishaaq, son of Ibrahim,

May Allah's Peace and Mercy be upon them. Ameen.

Some lessons to apply so we thrive in our journey:

One: From Prophet Jacob's way of treating his children, 

We learn to shun unfairness or favoritism, 

Or if someone's kids require preferential treatment, 

Clarifying one's actions can prevent bad outcomes.

~•~

Two: From the jealousy of Prophet Yusuf's siblings, 

We learn it's part of human nature to feel threatened 

By those with potential or who get more attention.

Your value isn't reduced by people's maltreatment.

~•~

Three: From the special dream of Prophet Yusuf, we learn 

That dreams are from Allah's gifts which guide, comfort and warn.

They're not to be shared with those who envy your blessings.

Flaunting one's joys to the jealous compels them to harm.

Four: From the incident when Prophet Yusuf was thrown 

Into a well and left there for some time on his own, 

We learn that oppression often happens to good souls.

When Allah tests some, He knows they're strong enough to cope.

~•~

Five: From the strangers who sold Yusuf at a small price, 

We learn that, though you're valuable, some won't recognize 

How much Allah loves you, who you are on the inside, 

And what you can provide. Let them be. Stay true and kind.

~•~

Six: No matter how pious you are, there'll be some tests 

To examine the strength of your faith, if you'll resist, 

Or if your weakness can push you to getting tempted. 

Taqwa and trust in Allah can keep you protected.

~•~

Seven: From Yusuf's confinement for several years, 

We learn there's always wisdom in meeting those we meet.

Either they motivate us or we're the ones to teach, 

While the confined, with Allah's Will, someday get released.

~•~

Eight: From Yusuf's rising and permission to manage, 

We learn that ease almost always comes after hardship.

As long as you're patient through trials, not discouraged, 

You, with Allah's Mercy, can have your goals accomplished.

~•~

Nine: From the discovery of what Zulaykha did, 

We learn that liars eventually get detected.

Despite injustice, Prophet Yusuf chose to forgive.

No merit can be gained from holding on to grudges.

~•~

Ten: From the crisis through which the brothers reconciled, 

We learn that trying times can be blessings in disguise.

Challenges are chances for loved ones to reconcile.

The ill, with Allah's Will, too get healed after some time.

~•~

Eleven: From Yusuf's reunion with his loved ones,

We learn the virtues of trusting Allah and patience, 

Predicaments in this dunya aren't permanent, 

And certain dreams do come true if Allah decrees them.

Make effort to reflect on your life story and deeds.

Question yourself, "Am I whom Allah wants me to be?

Have I done enough good works so my soul is worthy 

Of Allah's Love and Jannatul Ferdaus' grand entry?"

📖 Ibn Umar RadhiAllahu 'anhu narrated: Allah's noble Messenger Muhammad SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam said, "The nobleman, son of the nobleman, son of the nobleman, son of the nobleman. That was Joseph, son of Jacob, son of Isaac, son of Abraham, upon them be peace ('alaihim as-salaam)."

Poem: Souls Who Connect With Us And Souls We Clash With

💐 In The Name Of Allah The Most Gracious The Most Merciful
💌 It's strange how often we meet some souls for the first time,
And instantly we click, we're attracted to their vibes,
Comfortable around them, almost similar minds,
No jealousy, no reasons for them to be disliked.
~*~
In contrast, we encounter other souls we can't like,
Strangers whose conflicting values cause us to deride
Or feel uncomfortable when they are just nearby,
Afraid of approaching them, fearing they'll criticize.
~*~
Without a doubt, if we're truthful, we tend to hate lies;
If we're honest, we can't befriend those who love to lie.
If we detest gossip, we despise those who backbite.
If we're assured, we abhor those insecure inside.
~*~
If you're among the few, in the place where you reside,
Who are smart, who strive to be pious, who know what's right,
Who display many talents which attract jealous eyes,
And you feel like 'the black sheep', tell yourself "You'll be fine,

So long as you live life to please Allah the Most High,
And Jannatul Ferdaus is one prize you so desire,
It doesn't matter if by everyone you're not liked.
You're here to serve Allah, not make your worth recognized."

Note: Prophet Jesus' mother Maryam, in her lifetime,
Was hated by most, yet she's destined for Paradise.
Nuh 'alaihis salaam was made fun of and belied,
Yet he's one of Allah's Prophets and loyal allies.

While we do our best to be kind to all and survive,
We'll keep doing what Allah loves, not to be admired
By fellow servants with their own flaws, struggles and vice,
Until we reach Jannah, where all good souls reunite.

📖 Anas Ibn Malik RadhiAllahu 'anhu narrated: A bedouin asked the Messenger of Allah SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam, “When is the Hour (The Day of Judgment)?” The Prophet Muhammad SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam said, “What have you prepared for it?” The man said, “Love for Allah and his Messenger (SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam).” The Prophet SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam said, “You will be with those whom you love.”

Poem: On The People Whom I Can't Always Talk To

💐 In The Name Of Allah The Most Gracious The Most Merciful

💌 Five groups of people who I wish to contact but can't,

Unable to reach out to them whenever I want, 

For certain reasons which Only Allah understands, 

From unstable means of connection to far distance:

One: Those whom I know are busy with their profession, 

And in this category is my loving husband.

Though their busyness prevents us from frequent chatting, 

Jannah is where we can have better conversations.

~•~

Two: Those whose addiction to gossip makes me resent 

Their unpleasant presence. So I gift them with absence, 

Not out of arrogance, but for self-preservation.

I don't need my account of deeds to keep people's sins.

~•~

Three: Those whom I avoid not because I despise them 

But their intriguing traits could lead to vile temptation.

The heart gets teased by fitna with each interaction, 

So I minimize our convos for our protection.

~•~

Four: Those who moved or reside in a place that's distant.

Connecting at conflicting times can be so tiring. 

Although we don't chat as often as we did back then,

Their names get mentioned in Du'as. They're unforgotten.

~•~

Five: Those unreachable, due to misunderstandings.

Pride or wounded feelings inspired their silent treatment.

With each of us afraid of each other's rejection, 

I pray that Allah guides them and makes their hearts soften.

~•~

When inability to speak with other humans 

Causes my weak nafs at times to feel somewhat lonesome, 

I turn to Allah, attain peace in talking to Him, 

And smile, knowing in Jannah no one will be hurting.

~•~

In Jannah Paradise there won't be disappointments, 

No frustrations, no challenging examinations, 

No distractions, no restrictions, no limitations.

No sadness but everlasting bliss and enjoyment.

~•~

I pray that I'm one of those whom Allah has destined 

Entry to Paradise for striving and believing, 

Firmly hoping that Jannah is where we'll meet again 

Our loved ones without the distress of separation. Ameen.

📖 Anas ibn Malik RadhiAllahu 'anhu narrated: Allah's noble Messenger Muhammad SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam said, "The most privileged people in the world among the people of the Hellfire will come on the Day of Resurrection to be dipped in the Hellfire, then it will be said: 'O son of Adam, did you see any good? Did you get any blessing?' He will say: 'No, by Allah, my Lord!' Then the most miserable people in the world among the people of Paradise will come on the Day of Resurrection to be dipped in Paradise, then it will be said: 'O son of Adam, did you see any hardship? Did you have any distress?' He will say: 'No, by Allah, my Lord! I did not once see hardship or distress.'"

Recite the verse if you wish: 'No soul knows what has been hidden for them of comfort.' (Surah As-Sajdah 32:17)'"

Poem: On Dream Interpretation And Lucid Dreaming

 💐 In The Name Of Allah The Most Gracious The Most Merciful

💌 The closer you are to Allah and the more truthful,

The more you tend to have dreams that are not forgetful, 

Whether you're "intuitive", "an empath", or "soulful", 

Having lucid dreams a lot could entail you're special.

Ever seen a dream where you found a clone of yourself 

Drag you to a cliff, shoved you then it shouted for help?

Maybe that's your nafs and the dream was trying to tell 

You to control it so you can triumph in both worlds.

~•~

Or a dream in which you interacted with strangers 

Yet strangely you clicked so well like you've known each other?

Perhaps they're like-minded souls situated somewhere

On earth. With Allah's Will, you'll meet in Jannah later.

~•~

Or a dream wherein you were climbing a white staircase, 

Then a scene where you were staring at earth miles away, 

And a dream where a friend gave you a flag that you waved 

Then you both became leopards which made you feel amazed.

~•~

Good dreams and vivid visions are from Allah's Mercy 

To those who strive to please Him and sometimes feel lonely.

One of Allah's Ways for the righteous to be relieved, 

Good dreams hold messages, warnings and signs that can lead.

~•~

Nightmares or awful dreams, in contrast, come from one's nafs, 

Disturbing thoughts from one's subconscious meant to distract.

Firm trust in Allah and strong faith shield you from waswaas.

Dispel a nightmare's impact through Adhkaar and Du'as.

~•~

Good dreams are gifts from Allah; don't take them for granted.

Share them only with those whom you know can be trusted.

Always ask Allah that He joins you with the guided, 

Who are blessed with insight like many of His Prophets.

📖 Abu Huraira RadhiAllahu 'anhu narrated: Allah's noble Messenger Muhammad SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam said, "When the end of time approaches (before the Day of Judgment), the dream of a believer can hardly be false. The dream of a believer is one of forty-six parts of prophecy and whatever is from prophecy cannot be false."

In another narration, the Prophet SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam said, "The most truthful of you are those with the truest dreams. There are three types of vision. The righteous vision is glad tidings from Allah, the distressful vision is from shaytan, and the vision arising from oneself. If one of you sees something he dislikes, let him stand to pray and not speak to people about it."

📖 'Urwah ibn Al-Zubayr RadhiAllahu 'anhu narrated: Aisha RadhiAllahu 'anha would say when she intended to sleep, "O Allah, I ask You for good and true dreams, not false dreams, beneficial (useful dreams) and not harmful." When she said this, they knew that she would not say anything more until she awoke in the morning or in the middle of the night.

Whoever sees something that he dislikes, let him blow to his left side three times and seek refuge from shaytan. Verily, it will not harm him and shaytan cannot appear in my form."
