Poem: What "Friendship Breakups" Teach Us

💐 In The Name Of Allah The Most Gracious The Most Merciful

💌 Some lessons from a breakup with someone I once knew,

Way back in Riyadh city, when I was in high school:

Consistency in communicating is one rule

For mutual trust to build and stronger bonds are ensured.

~•~

Forgiveness, patience and empathy are essential

For friendship to last long, low expectations as well.

What cause friends to drift apart or seem artificial

Are envy, selfish pride, excess and conflicting goals.

~•~

Connections can't survive if one friend gets all jealous

Of the other - not being caring or supportive,

Or if both are suspicious of each other's motives

Until one goes "I'm done!" and the other "Forget it."

~•~

Hurt ego and kibr/arrogance are obstacles

To potential fellowship becoming successful.

This puts effort, the other ignores their notes and calls

Till both part ways since they're clearly incompatible.

~•~

In the end, if some leave, it's not our fault entirely.

Their departure marks their final role in our story,

The joys they shared, like life's pleasures, are temporary,

And they're reminders to rely on Allah Only.

~•~

To that ex-friend and others like her: Thanks and sorry.

Thanks. You taught me there's peace in ditching toxicity.

Sorry I couldn't fulfill your wants obsessively.

No doubt, I don't need your "love". I seek Allah's Mercy.

~•~

Though we're strangers now, yet this time with some memories,

I pray that Allah guides you, improves your well-being,

And inspires you to recognize that our enemy

Is shaytan who's pleased when Muslims show disunity.

~•~

📖 Abu Huraira RadhiAllahu 'anhu narrated: Allah's noble Messenger Muhammad SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam said, "Love whom you love moderately, perhaps he will become hateful to you someday. Hate whom you hate moderately, perhaps he will become your beloved friend someday."

If something befalls you, then do not say: 'If only I had done something else.’ Rather say: "Allah has decreed what He wills.” Verily, the phrase ‘if only’ opens the way for the work of shaytan."

Poem: Three Types Of Patience. Apply Them To Thrive In Both Worlds.

💐 In The Name Of Allah The Most Gracious The Most Merciful

💌 Three types of patience are required to succeed in life:

Patience in serving Allah and doing what He likes,

Patience in avoiding sins and leaving vile desires,

And patience when trials fall, during challenging times.

~•~

Be patient for Allah in obeying His Commands,

Patient when praying, patient when reading the Qur'an,

When saying Du'a and Adhkaar whenever you can,

In Da'wah, and when teaching others about Islam.

~•~

Be patient wearing hijaab/niqaab and modest clothes,

Patient in studying Islam and Arabic words,

When you greet with the Salaam only to get ignored,

And when you advise Muslims just to receive insults.

~•~

Be patient in shunning what Allah has forbidden,

From gossiping and lying to music addiction,

From ribaa/interest to stealing and deceiving,

And doing good deeds for riyaa or recognition.

~•~

Be patient as well in fleeing the paths to zina,

In fighting the urge to expose yourself to fitna.

Patiently forget those who distance you from Allah

And substitute temptation with longing for Jannah.

~•~

Be patient when tests befall one after another,

When Allah wants to check if you truly know Sabr.

Be patient when hurt, when affairs are not in order,

When disappointed by loved ones and mocked by haters.

~•~

Be patient when you encounter financial crisis,

When someone's joys or blessings make you somewhat jealous,

When days go by too quickly and you increase in stress,

And when thinking of earth's current state makes you upset.

~•~

To be patient doesn't mean pretending you're alright

And forcing a fake smile while you feel bad from inside,

But true patience inspires you to have hope day and night,

Trusting in Allah's Power to help and make things right.

~•~

Be patient. It takes time for seeds to grow into trees,

And for dawn to appear when evening thunderstorms cease.

Be patient; Allah loves us. After hardship comes ease.

Await Jannah's entry when we're cleansed of our misdeeds.

~•~

📖 Sa’d ibn Abi Waqqas RadhiAllahu 'anhu narrated: I said, “O Messenger of Allah, which of the people are most severely tested?” The Messenger of Allah SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam said, "They are the prophets, then the next best (in terms of righteousness), then the next best. A man is put to trial according to his Deen/religion. If he is firm in his religion, his trials will be more severe. If he is weak in his religion, he is put to trial according to his strength in religion. The servant will continue to be put to trial until he is left walking upon the earth without any sin."

📖 Abu Sa’eed Al-Khudri RadhiAllahu 'anhu narrated: Some people from the Ansaar asked the Messenger of Allah SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam and he gave them. Then they asked for charity again and he SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam gave them. Then they asked again and he SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam gave them until all that he had was gone. The Prophet SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam said, "If I had anything, I would not withhold it. Whoever refrains from asking others, then Allah will make him content. Whoever would be independent, then Allah will make him independent. Whoever would be patient, then Allah will make him patient. There is no gift that is better and more comprehensive than patience."

Poem: What You Can Do, As A Muslim, When Depressed

💐 In The Name Of Allah The Most Gracious The Most Merciful
💌 Do you go through moments when you cry "for no reason",
Or at one point diagnosed yourself with depression
So you stand out or at least you do well at something?
This is what it's like to be depressed, as a Muslim:
~•~
On certain days you seem strong, because you have no choice
But to appear that way so opponents won't destroy
Your trust in Allah, your self-esteem and inner voice.
Often you smile despite feeling sad, lost or annoyed.
~•~
If walls could speak, they'd let others know how much you weep,
How your prayer mat and books you read get soaked with tears
Sometimes, when you're up at night crying while most would sleep.
Rarest times when you find delight are more real in dreams.
~•~
You experience sorrow like every other human,
Yet you deny sadness when it attracts derision.
Overwhelmed with frequent stress and high expectations,
Your nafs often whispers "Die now, or keep suffering".
~•~
But you're a Muslim. Thus when suicidal thoughts creep in,
You recall: Allah's Love outweighs all of your problems,
Tough circumstances are meant to wash away your sins,
And challenges, like this world, are not everlasting.
~•~
Maybe when you feel empty, that's your heart complaining
About how much it misses Qur'an recitations,
Solace in crying to Allah, calmness in praying,
And fulfillment in knowledge so your faith is strengthened.
~•~
The farther people stray from their main purpose in life,
The more they're prone to heartbreaks and feeling bad inside.
Be kind to your soul. Through evil deeds don't keep it tired.
Connect with Allah. Accept: Joy is in Paradise.
~•~

Poem: Ways To Tell If You Have A Clean Heart

💐 In The Name Of Allah The Most Gracious The Most Merciful

💌 The similitude of those who seem "clean" outwardly

Yet they carry dirty thoughts and their hearts are filthy

Is that of a golden treasure chest and it's empty,

Within are cobwebs of wounded pride, greed and envy.

~•~

Better to be average-looking with a heart that's clean

Than appear grand while concealing ugly qualities,

From constantly hating on others enviously

And gossiping to accusing Muslims unfairly.

~•~

If you're blessed with a pure heart, you wouldn't be guilty

Of doubting other Muslims' intentions unjustly,

Disdaining someone's gifts, disliking Allah's Decree,

Lying, starting fights, and backbiting despicably.

~•~

Clean minds think "MashaAllah" when Muslims are happy,

Don't invent rumors when some behave incorrectly

But sense pity, so they advise and remind kindly.

Clean hearts care for Allah's sake - with justice and mercy.

~•~

Souls beautified with clean hearts steer clear of all of these:

Arrogance - demanding service meant for VIPs,

Serving one's ego - not forgiving, too hard to please,

And acting as though one sees the whys of people's deeds.

~•~

To have a clean heart: Do good for Allah sincerely.

Be teachable. Don't roll your eyes when a Muslim speaks.

Leave toxic vibes found in those who act impudently.

Train yourself to not feel jealous of others' journeys.

~•~

The cleaner your heart is, the more you can readily

Say Dhikr, accept truth, detect real from fallacies,

Obey Allah regardless of His slaves' enmity,

And avoid misjudging hearts, as that's not your duty.

📖 Abu Huraira RadhiAllahu 'anhu narrated: Allah's noble Messenger Muhammad SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam said, "Verily, when the servant commits a sin, a black mark appears upon his heart. If he abandons the sin, seeks forgiveness, and repents, then his heart will be polished. If he returns to the sin, the blackness will be increased until it overcomes his heart. It is the covering that Allah has mentioned: 'No, rather a covering is over their hearts from what they have earned.' (The Noble Qur'an 83:14)"

What is a heart swept clean?” The Prophet SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam said, “One that is mindful of Allah and pure, in which there is no sin, nor aggression, nor envy.” We said, “Who shows a sign of it?” The Prophet SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam said, "One who hates worldliness and loves the Hereafter." Poem: Quick Note To Those Whom I Love For Allah's Sake

💐 In The Name Of Allah The Most Gracious The Most Merciful

💌 May Allah unite us in Jannah Heaven.

Ameen. Special message to my dear parents,

To my Muslim family, distant loved ones,

Close friends and those with whom I haven’t spoken.

Sweet reminders again to my dear husband:

~•~

Dear husband, whom I so love for Allah’s sake,

Although we don’t see each other night and day,

Always note my loving you will still remain

Until it finds perfection up there someday,

In Jannah where there’s no worry nor dismay.

~•~

With those I love our talks on earth may be few,

Our meetings sometimes rushed, loads of jobs to do.

At times we neglect, forget, fight, misconstrue,

Yet we forgive each other, knowing it’s true

Blessed love that leads to Jannah treasures value.

~•~

Up there in Jannah there’s no separation,

No stress, distress, tiredness, loss nor depression,

No despicable traits nor comparison.

In Jannah are great things which no soul has seen,

So grand that one’s mind can’t even imagine.

~•~

Jannah’s for those who worship Allah Only,

The sincere ones who do good deeds aplenty,

The truthful supporters who love God truly.

May Allah accept our efforts, grant Mercy

And join us with those who’ll meet Him lovingly. Ameen.

In Jannah Paradise is true love without separation.

~•~

May Allah the Most Merciful accept all our good deeds, forgive all our wrongdoings, answer our du'as with His Mercy and reunite us with our Muslim loved ones in the uppermost level of Heaven Jannatul Firdaus next to Him and His beloved Messenger Muhammad SallAllahu alaihi wa sallam. Allahumma Innaka 'Afuwwun Kareemun tuhibbul 'afwa fa'fu 'annaa. Ameen.
