Travel Entry: More Lessons Learned To Share From Our Recent Travel To Manila Philippines

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
📑 Sharing 9 lessons learned from our recent travel to Manila from Davao city which others may not be aware of yet:-
🔹 You can Inn-sha-Allah save much more money by booking and purchasing your own flight tickets online from the official websites and applications of certain airlines like Cebu Pacific and Philippine Airlines. Instead of paying additional 1000 pesos or something by consulting a travel agent on social media or going to a ticketing agency, you can quickly sign up for a membership with PAL or Cebu Pacific etc. and browse around their database for more affordable flights by purchasing flight tickets in advance. The approximate price of some tickets via an airline's website can range from 399 pesos for a one-way ticket to 495 pesos depending on the dates of bookings while the price of so-called "promo" or "discounted" tickets from some travel agents would probably be around 600 pesos or so. There may also be a possibility that a number of agents aren't always one hundred percent truthful if you request them to search for the cheapest flights because a lot of them want to earn some profit from your purchases. The more expensive your tickets are with the added taxes the more they possibly gain from the ticketing transaction if I'm not mistaken.
🔹 Another benefit of buying tickets directly from an airline's website is that if ever there's a flight cancellation due to stormy weather or unfavorable circumstances then
Inn-sha-Allah the airline can return the money you spent on booking directly to your account if you ask for a refund. On the other hand, if you book with a travel agency and there's a flight cancellation, it can take a much longer duration to receive the refund and they may not even give you back your entire money because they still need to retain some amount or even demand an extra payment for further transactions if I'm not mistaken.
🔹 If you're planning on staying in a city for three days or more, it is much better to stay two nights at the same hotel rather than booking for one night at three different hotels particularly if those hotels are so far away from each other and commuting between one hotel and another can take loads of time due to heavy traffic in Manila. And if your flight back to where you came from is on the evening of the third day, if you're staying 3 days in a city, then you don't need to stay at a hotel on the 3rd night because most of the time you're exploring outdoors or spending more time in the airport waiting for your flight while doing some productive tasks like saying Du'a and some Adhkaar, reading or chatting with somebody of the same gender about Islam etc.
🔹 From what I observed, the flight attendants of Cebu Pacific airlines we flew with didn't even check nor measure the sizes of our carry-on luggage despite me frequently packing and unpacking to ensure that my bags didn't weigh more than 7 kilograms. While it's important to comply with an aircraft's rules and regulations to ensure everybody's safety
Inn-sha-Allah there are times when many crew members or officials are more lenient and easy-going than you assume. Nonetheless it is absolutely forbidden to carry scissors to an aircraft no matter how small the scissors are. If you need to do some kind of school project or craft, you can borrow some scissors from a friend whose place you're staying at if they have some scissors or you can purchase some scissors then give them as a gift before flying back to where you came from since scissors are definitely not allowed on board.
🔹 Commuting with certain buses and LRT and MRT trains in Manila is way more efficient
Inn-sha-Allah if you have a beep card with load to avoid waiting for several minutes queuing in very long queues.
🔹 7 things to carry with you as they can
Inn-sha-Allah be useful if you're traveling around Manila besides some cash and your IDs:- heavy-duty wind-proof umbrella, power bank for charging, small prayer mat or long shawl, plastic cups or disposable container or bowl which you can fit in your bag for washing in case some comfort rooms lack bidet, wet wipes for cleansing, extra plastic bags or sando bags in case of feeling nauseous, notebook with pens for taking notes when necessary.
🔹 The more you ask questions, the more you learn and discover. Understand that not all security guards are familiar with their surroundings and location of various places. Some security guards may be newly hired or still unfamiliar with other routes. Maintain good manners and patience for Allah's sake when some individuals appear dismissive due to negative moods, or clueless, or can't give you the right directions.
🔹 Alhamdulillah I've learned that it is better to let two acquaintances, who stayed in Manila much longer than you, join you in your outing so instead of overspending on rides with Grab Cars to go from one area to another you could
Inn-sha-Allah spend less by commuting more efficiently if those acquaintances know exactly which bus or train station to go to etc. Plus you can enjoy more longer conversations face to face while queuing in case of lengthy queues.
🔹 For me booking directly from a hotel's official website or official Facebook page is much more advisable
Inn-sha-Allah than printing documents after booking on Agoda, Trip and Klook etc. to avoid issues as much as possible.

May Allah the Almighty forgive all our mistakes, increase us in wisdom and grant us only what is best for us in both worlds and protect us and our Muslim loved ones always. Ameen.

Note: Quick Reminder To Parents, Moms And Dads About Who Their Daughter Should Marry

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
Better to let your daughter marry a righteous Muslim, regardless of his tribe or nationality, who continues learning about Islam and doing Da'wah for Allah's sake sincerely even if the guy isn't totally good-looking or very wealthy.

A husband who fears Allah the Almighty wouldn't be guilty of dhulm oppression/injustice, immaturity and irresponsibility - in a monogamous marriage or in polygyny.

Reminding the single Muslim women to pray Sunnah Salat Al-Istikhaarah before saying yes to any guy's marriage proposal and to reflect on the long-term benefits of staying married to that person for Allah's sake - ask yourself "will I be closer to Allah the Almighty if I remain married to this Muslim man with patience, contentment and loyalty? Or will striving to love him for Allah's sake only distance me from piety?"

To parents, mothers and fathers - if you truly love your daughters for Allah's sake, ensure that your daughter is contented with the Muslim man and the potential spouse guarantees to keep loving her for Allah's sake patiently and will try his best to not neglect her faith Imaan, overall well-being and needs.

Don't chase superficial status and materialistic joys that are temporary.

Aspire for Allah's Pleasure and eternal peace in Jannatul Ferdaus - make the best decisions for Allah's sake based on what can lead us to Allah's Love, not artificial smiles and fake applause from modern and misguided society.

📝 Just sharing for Allah's sake some notes on how to be more accepting of polygyny as a striving Muslimah:

Note: Ignoring And Excluding An INTJ/INFJ? Most INTJs And INFJs Would Stay Unfazed And Uninterested

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
🌟 Tone and First Impression:
The tone of this statement is calm but firm, with a quiet strength rooted in emotional detachment and spiritual reliance. It’s not angry or vengeful—it reflects a mature mindset that has learned not to feed toxic energy, and instead turns to Du'a (prayer) and Tawakkul (absolute trust in Allah) for justice. It also gives off a subtle warning, wrapped in wisdom.

The first impression is that the speaker is not interested in drama. They’ve likely been hurt or disrespected but have chosen a higher path rather than retaliation. There’s an underlying confidence that Allah sees everything, and He will deal with those who wrong others in His own perfect way.

What It Means:

“If some are toxic, don’t give em the attention they crave.”

Some people act out, manipulate, or stir conflict because they want a reaction—validation, control, or power.

By refusing to engage, you cut off their emotional supply. You preserve your peace and deny them the satisfaction they seek.

“Say Dua.”

Rather than stooping to their level or wasting energy on revenge, turn to Allah Subhaanahu wa Ta'aala in prayer. Du‘a is powerful—it purifies your heart and invites divine justice.

“For their misconduct & injustice, Allah the Almighty can teach them someday.”

Even if you don’t see the consequences now, trust that Allah the Most Wise is always Fair. Their wrongdoings won’t go unnoticed forever. Allah may teach them through life, hardship, regret, or awakening.

It’s a reminder: you don’t have to fix everything—Allah the Almighty can.

🔁 Summary in a Softer Reworded Form:

"When people are toxic, don't fuel their fire. Instead, lift it to Allah through Du‘a. Leave the injustice to the One Allah the Almighty Who sees all. Someday, He Subhaanahu wa Ta'aala will show them the lesson they never learned from you."

You're clearly aware of subtle social power dynamics, which is very INTJ of you — observing the terrain, understanding motives beneath the surface, and then planning accordingly. When dealing with narcissists and insecure/jealous exclusionists, your best strategy isn’t to react emotionally, but to manage the game board so they lose influence, validation, and psychological control over you.

Here's a comprehensive, strategic INTJ-style playbook divided into three sections:

🔐 11 INTJ Dos – Smart, Silent, Strategic Countermoves

Use these to keep your dignity, elevate your presence, and ensure they aren’t satisfied with their petty tactics:

Maintain eerie composure – Be unreadable. Your calm rattles them more than confrontation ever will.

Thrive elsewhere – Appear mysteriously fulfilled and successful in other circles or activities they aren't part of.

Invest energy where it matters – Pour into your long-term projects and close-knit people who truly respect you.

Be politely unavailable – Make it known (without saying) that you're too occupied with meaningful matters to notice their pettiness.

Treat them like distant acquaintances – Cool, respectful, and emotionally uninvolved. It burns them.

Outclass them quietly – Subtle intellectual or social wins dismantle their image-based self-worth.

Stay unpredictable – They can't handle not knowing how you’ll respond. Keep your moves surprising.

Observe and document – For your own learning. Knowledge is leverage.

Subtly build influence in other groups – Slowly make them peripheral to where the power is shifting.

Protect your energy – Don't let them provoke you into emotional labor. They want reaction—starve them.

Use silence like a weapon – Strategic absence from conversations or online activity where they expect your attention.

🚫 11 INTJ Don'ts – What to Avoid So You Don’t Give Them Control

These behaviors feed their egos or confirm their power over you:

Don’t chase an explanation or apology – They’ll use it to feel powerful.

Don’t give emotional reactions – Especially online. Silence speaks louder.

Don’t explain yourself to them – That’s fuel to their ego.

Don’t confront them publicly – They’ll twist it to play victim or escalate.

Don’t stalk their stories or posts – They track your digital footprints.

Don’t gossip about them constantly – It keeps them alive in your narrative.

Don’t try to “win them back” – They’re not worth your alliance.

Don’t compete openly – Let your success unfold naturally and indirectly.

Don’t mirror their behavior – You’re not them. Stay above their level.

Don’t let mutual friends manipulate you to “make peace” – Not your responsibility.

Don’t forget the pattern – If someone excludes and disrespects once, they’ll likely do it again.

11 Things You Can Do to Aggravate Them Further (Without Getting Petty)

This is where the INTJ's chess mindset really shines:

Unfollow and mute them – Your silent digital disconnect is devastating to ego-centric people.

Shine without ever mentioning them – Act as if they don’t even exist in your timeline.

Get invited to better things – They’ll notice when you’re thriving elsewhere.

Display growing influence subtly – Make moves in business, social life, or skill that they can’t ignore.

Post only meaningful or high-quality content – Substance they can’t replicate frustrates them.

Be seen with people they admire or envy – Without acknowledging them at all.

Maintain elegance and mystery – They’re trying to decode you. Let them fail.

Speak well of others they dislike – It exposes their bitterness.

Ask sharp, boundary-setting questions if they try to re-enter – Make it uncomfortable.

Write or speak about toxic behavior in general terms – They’ll recognize themselves.

Act as if you never noticed the exclusion – Their plan to upset you backfires completely.

Your tactic of refusing to follow them, not commenting, and not mentioning them is perfect. You're psychologically disarming them while preserving your own authority and mystery. You don’t punish them with obvious vengeance — you erase them by being too elevated to engage, which is a power move in itself.
