Poem: New Lessons On Love I've Learned

💐 In The Name Of Allah The Most Gracious The Most Merciful
💌 New lessons on love I've learned within a year,
To inspire Muslims to keep those they hold dear.
One: Even though you may find some attractive,
To your spouse you stay loyal and supportive.
~*~
It's possible to like some to a degree,
Yet you love your spouse more with much loyalty.
Two: Don't overlook subtle signs of true love,
Like when for Salah you wake each other up,
~*~
Or when you give each other hugs and kisses,
And when closeness to your spouse you can't resist.
Three: Love stories of others should not threaten,
But inspire you to have your marriage strengthened.
~*~
Be happy for other Muslims' marriage lives,
Focus on succeeding as good husband/wife.
Four: You know your love is genuine and real
When all emotions your lover lets you feel,
~*~
Hating when you miss them, loving their best traits,
Excited to see them, sad when they're away.
Five: Your love is a gift if it lifts Imaan,
Blessed if it helps you patiently understand,
~*~
Directs you to thanking Allah night and day,
And guides you to contentment when you're dismayed.
If something about your soulmate bothers you,
You'll still fall for their other sweet attributes.
~*~
So marriage lasts longer, do it for Allah,
Marry for Allah's sake. Marriage is Sunnah.
Being married doesn't spell out 'perfect life',
There's no perfection except in Paradise.
~*~
📖 Umm Salamah RadhiAllahu 'anha narrated that Allah's noble Messenger Muhammad SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam said, "Any woman who dies while her husband is pleased with her, she will enter Jannah (Paradise)". [At-Tirmidhi]
Arabic/English book reference: Book 1 Hadith 286
📖 Abu Huraira RadhiAllahu 'anhu narrated: Allah's noble Messenger Muhammad SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam said, "If I were to order anyone to prostrate to another, I would have ordered a wife to prostrate before her husband."

Grade: Hasan (Fair) according to Al-Tirmidhi
Ali Al-Qari said, “That she prostrates to her husband is due to the number of his rights over her and her difficulty in maintaining gratitude for them. This rhetorical point conveys the obligation of the wife to obey her husband in his rights. Indeed, prostration is not lawful to anyone other than Allah.”
