Poem: Yes I Forgave Them. No I Don't Wish To Be Their Friend.

๐Ÿ’ In The Name Of Allah The Most Gracious The Most Merciful
๐Ÿ“œ Yes, while I understand the virtues of forgiveness,
You can't force me to build and maintain toxic friendships.
Yes, while I can forgive what so-and-so did and said,
I won't forget the fact they can't really be trusted.
Since I don't trust them while their vibes just invite conflict,
And their presence in my opinion triggers distress,
I know I'm better off if they're far and avoided.
They're unreliable, selfish, so strangely nervous
When around me as if they conceal absurd secrets,
And they're too negative, at times seem narcissistic,
Frequently unable to make rational choices
Because their mood swings control them and they lack the wit
And willingness to seek or learn Islamic knowledge.
Plus, we're too different. They're overly sensitive,
In conserving energy they're uninterested,
In failing to prevent gossip they show cowardice,
They're not creative nor impressive I acknowledge,
And overall they're very boring and so childish
From what I've witnessed. Their uneasy body language
And nervousness make me view them as guilty culprits
Trying to hide information that's ridiculous -
Either they're concealing how they're intimidated
By my integrity or they're truly envious
Of me for countless reasons or they're simply cautious
Of getting caught regarding their lies and injustice.
While I forgave them, I don't want their toxic friendship.
Why place yourself in situations with added stress?
Though they're forgiven, befriending them is not needed
For success in both worlds, and if Allah decreed it -
That we'd never connect despite physical nearness.
