Poem: Five Insecure Habits That Confident People Do Not Do

💐 In The Name Of Allah The Most Gracious The Most Merciful
💌 Five things that truly confident people do not do,
As their trust in Allah Almighty keeps them assured:
They don't bully, to envying others they're immune,
They don't glue themselves to worldly joys to feel secure,
They're not petty, not confused nor of themselves unsure.
~•~
One: Confident people don't oppress like awful trolls.
Bullying and injustice they would never approach.
They value rich manners as though they have hearts of gold.
They'd hate to be obnoxious like a pesky cockroach
Through disturbing people's peace or laughing at their faults.
~•~
Two: Confident Muslims are happy from the inside,
With Allah's Love and Guidance keeping them satisfied.
They seldom photograph food they ate to emphasize
They can afford lavish meals and luxurious lifestyles.
They don't flaunt their affluence for superficial likes.
~•~
Three: Thick-skinned and steadfast, trusting Allah the Most Wise,
They swiftly and smoothly move on from those they despise.
They don't seek people's applause nor insist to be liked.
They don't bother stalking strangers online and offline.
To toxic vibes and drama themselves they don't invite.
~•~
Four: The confident are determined and resolute,
With long-term and lofty goals they patiently pursue.
Critics' insults and loved ones not cheering can't reduce
Their will to succeed. They don't need a fan club to move.
Criticism and failures inspire them to improve.
~•~
Five: Grateful for Allah's Love, from within they're complete,
Unafraid and unworried if friends decide to leave.
Whoso likes them they befriend or treat with courtesy,
And they're unfazed by those who view them as enemies.
They don't take selfies or do acts so the crowds are pleased.
~•~
You know you're confident when you're thriving already
With strong Imaan and trust in Allah the Almighty,
When people can't make you doubt your worth and faculties,
And you don't retreat when they sneer or show enmity.
Toughen up for Allah Whom we serve and fear only.
~•~
📖 Abu Huraira RadhiAllahu 'anhu narrated: Allah’s noble Messenger Muhammad SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam said, "The strong believer is more beloved to Allah than the weak believer, but there is goodness in both of them. Be eager for what benefits you, seek help from Allah, and do not be frustrated. If something befalls you, then do not say: 'If only I had done something else.’ Rather say: 'Allah has decreed what He wills.' Verily, the phrase ‘if only’ opens the way for the work of shaytan."

Poem: Only Allah Knows The Niyyah / Intentions Of His Servants

💐 In The Name Of Allah The Most Gracious The Most Merciful
💌 "She brings food to meetings to prove she's so generous,
Either that, or to flaunt she can cook better than us.",
"She published her own books desperate to be famous.",
"They conduct Islamic classes mainly for the cash.",
"More reminders? Attention hog, would you look at that."
~•~
"He only gave us a ride to show off his new car.",
"They lecture just to be some sort of religious stars.",
"By sharing posts in Arabic they obviously are
Flaunting their linguistic skills, that they're more superior.",
"They desire people's approval. I doubt they're sincere."
~•~
No matter how pure your heart is or how you ensure
That your deeds are for Allah, with niyyah not impure,
There'll be critics and haters out there who are unsure
Of your intention, and they act like they know for sure,
When matters dealing with the heart are issues obscure.
~•~
People must remind themselves that Only Allah knows
The actual state, feelings and intentions of all souls.
Just as they can't judge books with one glimpse of their covers,
They've no right to describe you using unfitting words,
Specially if you've never hung out with them before.
~•~
Let those who falsely accuse you receive your past sins,
Disturbing themselves with lies and jealous resentment.
While you can't stop them from accusing and assuming,
You can seek Allah's Help, trust He'll justly deal with them.
Await rewards for your patience with their suspicions.

📖 Ibn Mas’ud RadhiAllahu 'anhu narrated: The Messenger of Allah SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam was distributing charity when a man from the Ansaar said, “By Allah, Muhammad (SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam) did not intend to please Allah with this!” I came to the Prophet SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam and told him about it, then anger could be seen on his face. The Prophet SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam said, "Moses (Prophet Musa 'alaihis salaam) was hurt by more than this, yet he remained patient."

📖 Usamah Ibn Zayd RadhiAllahu 'anhu narrated: The Messenger of Allah, SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam sent us on an expedition. In the morning we attacked Al-Huraqat of Juhaynah. I caught hold of a man and he said, “There is no god but Allah!” but I stabbed him. Then it occurred to me that I should mention that to the Prophet SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam. The Prophet SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam said, "Did he say ‘there is no god but Allah’ and you killed him?" I said, “O Messenger of Allah, he only said it fearing the weapon.” The Prophet SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam said, "Did you tear open his heart to know if he meant it or not?" The Prophet SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam continued to repeat this to me until I had wished I had not embraced Islam until that day.

Note: On Unintentionally Eating Food Or Using Products Containing Haraam Ingredients Such As Pork And Alcoholic Beverages

💐 In The Name Of Allah The Most Gracious The Most Merciful
📜 Question: If a person ate pork (or the meat of pig) unknowingly, then is there a compensation upon them? If compensating is obliged, then what is the recompense?
📝 Answer: There is nothing wrong with them for as long as they did not know (they were unaware of the food containing haraam/forbidden ingredients such as lard, pork or wine). What they can do is to gargle and rinse their mouth well to remove the remnants of the filthy substance, and properly wash their hands, Alhamdulillah.
Question: But what if they don't wash their mouth or they were not informed that what they ate contained pork until after they've eaten, what should they do?
Answer: There is no blame upon them (since they were not warned that they were consuming pork.
Muslims are not accountable for wrongdoings which they are ignorant about during the time of committing the mistake or they were forced to do, such as being pranked by non-Muslim acquaintances or dining at a restaurant where the cooking utensils were also used on pork or alcoholic beverages).

Poem: Tips On How To Deal With Users Who Ignore Or "Seen-Zone" You

💐 In The Name Of Allah The Most Gracious The Most Merciful
💌 Seven likely reasons why someone would "seen-zone" you,
And tips on how to cope with people who are aloof,
Who ignored your messages like being rude is "cool",
Unaware their indifference proves they're insecure,
Or applying netiquette is something they don't do...
~•~
One: Perhaps their cellphone was being used by their child
Who, while browsing around, viewed messages that arrived.
The kid saw your message, while the person whom you liked
To respond didn't even read the text that you typed,
So they think you're fine when your name isn't in highlight.
~•~
Two: They're shy types who often find it hard to reply,
Can't form clever remarks, or they silently replied
In their imaginations or in dreams late at night.
Three: They're the serious kind who won't add, unless required.
To them, typing extra letters is a waste of time.
~•~
Four: They're controlling their nafs, hide deep feelings inside,
Resisting desires is why they refuse to reply.
Shielding you from zina is something to be admired.
Five: They're preoccupied with many duties offline.
True friends sympathize, and give each other space and time.
~•~
Six: They got disconnected when about to reply,
Slow or unstable internet connection is why
They can't always answer your messages right on time.
Seven: They don't understand you. To them, you're despised
And not important enough to receive a reply.
~•~
Regarding those whose energy conflict with your vibes,
Whether you come off too strong or you lack traits they like,
Gladly accept that to choose their close friends it's their right,
As you move on with a smile, know Allah the Most Wise
Already chose the souls whose goals align with your life.
~•~
Thus, it's not a problem if some users "seen-zone" you.
Recall those times when you ignored advertisements too,
When offered free samples while rushing and you'd refuse,
And to type long replies you're not always in the mood.
When "seen-zoned", stay patient and maintain tough attitude.
~•~

Poem: Act Like You Trust People But Don't, As Allah Is The Only One Whom We Trust.

💐 In The Name Of Allah The Most Gracious The Most Merciful
💌 Live life day and night as though you're always being watched,
As if the people you meet are spies with rehearsed acts
And beneath their outfits are spying gadgets attached,
So when they play games just to see how you would react,
You'd behave in a way that pleases Allah above.
~•~
Act as if you trust every person you encounter,
Maintaining manners with loved ones, neighbors and strangers,
Talk in a manner they think you like random chatter
And they guess you're an "open book", but that's an error,
They still don't know you well, as you've kept other matters.
~•~
Be friendly for Allah's sake with those whom you speak to,
Yet don't trust them at all, while you yourself remain true.
The words you utter and write very carefully choose.
Treat others according to their nature, not your mood.
And always fear Allah Who always hears and sees you.
~•~
Why people generally can't always be trusted:
Some try to connect for their selfish gains and motives.
Most tend to get jealous, passive and unsupportive.
All humans have mouths they can use for lies or gossip.
In trusting only our God Allah stay contented.

Note: Talking Does Not Invalidate Ablution And The Virtues Of Performing Wudhu

💐 In The Name Of Allah The Most Gracious The Most Merciful
📜 Question: Is it correct that speaking during the performance of wudhu invalidates the ablution?
📝 Answer: No. It is incorrect. Talking while performing ablution does not invalidate the wudhu.
Alhamdulillah. If a person performs ablution while conversing to someone, the wudhu is still valid if they fulfilled all the conditions of performing wudhu.
If the person, while performing the wudhu, washed their mouth, rinsed their nose, washed their face, hands, arms, and wiped their head along with their ears, and washed their feet including their ankles, then their wudhu is correct even if they were speaking while doing ablution. There is nothing wrong with speech during the performance of wudhu.

Poem: Avoid Displeasing Allah, As Sins May Darken The Heart And Make It Ugly

💐 In The Name Of Allah The Most Gracious The Most Merciful
💌 Just because some wear branded clothes, pose well in photos,
Dine with style, decorate themselves with glitter or gold,
Adorn themselves with fab cosmetics they can afford,
And ensure their outfits are never unclean or torn,
Doesn't mean they all have pretty hearts and pleasant souls.
~•~
A person may have an ugly heart if they behave
Rudely and so disrespectfully to those whom they
Consider as "unfashionable" due to poor taste
In their fashion sense and decisions they choose to make
Regarding their weight and how they're outwardly displayed.
~•~
People who evaluate others based on their looks
Are likely to abandon you if you don't look good.
They typically gossip, criticize and ridicule
Anyone who, to them, is not "trendy" or heaps "cool".
Their proud contempt for "cheap people" makes their hearts impure.
~•~
Other deeds which people with ugly hearts often do
Include scamming, inventing stories that are untrue,
Bullying, mocking others for trials they go through,
Refusing to help or give support when insecure,
And doubting Muslims' niyyah, always prone to assume.
~•~
Those with ugly hearts gravitate to shameful matters,
Such as TikTok dancers, materialistic vloggers,
Fellow scammers or cheaters, lies, gossipy chatter,
And they flee from Muslims who prefer the Hereafter,
And to hear Islamic talks they're mostly not bothered.
~•~
Those with ugly hearts can spend hours putting on makeup,
Recording and editing self-serving YouTube vlogs,
And analyzing the products whenever they shop,
Yet when it comes to learning from an Islamic talk,
Or reading Islamic writings, they're quick to give up.
~•~
Ugly hearts don't do enough to receive Allah's Love.
They're attached to dunya, can't recognize shaytan's plots,
And envying others' lives it's hard for them to stop.
To cleanse and beautify your heart, do what Allah loves,
Occupying it with Adhkaar, Du'as, and kind thoughts.
~•~
📖 Abu Huraira RadhiAllahu 'anhu narrated: Allah's noble Messenger Muhammad SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam said, "Verily, when the servant commits a sin, a black mark (or dark spot) appears upon his heart. If he abandons the sin, seeks forgiveness, and repents, then his heart will be polished. If he returns to the sin, the blackness will be increased until it overcomes his heart. It is the covering that Allah has mentioned: 'No, rather a covering is over their hearts from what they have earned.' (The Noble Qur'an 83:14)"

Note: Reminder To Say "Bismillah" Before Eating And Drinking

💐 In The Name Of Allah The Most Gracious The Most Merciful
📜 Question: Saying "Bismillah" every time one raises the right hand to one's mouth to eat or drink, and saying "Alhamdulillah" (after every bite and sip) each time one places down the glass or utensil, is there any basis for this?
📝 Answer: No. The Sunnah when eating (and drinking) is to say "Bismillah" from the very beginning and then say "Alhamdulillah" at the end of one's drink or meal.
Question: What about when raising the glass or cup while taking three separate sips?
Answer: The person should say "Bismillah" (before the whole process of eating and drinking) and upon completion one must say "Alhamdulillah."
What has been reported is to say "Bismillah" at the very start of the meal and "Alhamdulillah" at its end. And if the person decides to repeat then Allah Subhaanahu wa Ta'aala may reward them with goodness (for saying additional Dhikr). However the actual Sunnah is that once is sufficient. You say "Bismillah" one time only before eating and drinking, then say "Alhamdulillah" one time after you're done with eating and drinking.

Poem: Quick Advice For The Wife Who's About To Become Her Husband's First Wife

💐 In The Name Of Allah The Most Gracious The Most Merciful
💌 Advice to wives whose husbands intend to remarry,
And it's their first time to get into polygyny:
Firstly, Alhamdulillah, the fact that you agreed
To let your spouse love another woman lawfully
Indicates your strength and patience with Allah's Decree.
~•~
So glad tidings, good on you, you're not someone who seeks
Dunya's fleeting pleasures and desires temporary.
You're strong enough to accept Allah's Will patiently
In letting your husband marry again legally.
You want him happy, not guilty of adultery.
~•~
Understand your husband loving others doesn't mean
The love he has for you has prominently decreased.
See it as a way of granting more space and relief.
When he's with the other wife, you're free to eat and sleep,
Resting from constant perfection of spousal duties.
~•~
Your husband's second wife shouldn't be your enemy.
Together, for Allah, or indirectly compete
Not in who receives the most love from your shared hubby,
But in who's good at self-control when sad or angry,
And who's better at Sabr when triggered by envy.
~•~
Since she's part of the family, show some sympathy,
Pray that Allah grants you pure hearts free from jealousy,
Don't let ego make you both emotionally weak,
And if gradually you can't be close friends then at least
Don't harm her. Treat her with manners, fairness and mercy.
~•~

Poem: Have Good Thoughts About Allah And Believe In Allah's Mercy

💐 In The Name Of Allah The Most Gracious The Most Merciful
💌 "I didn't pass the board exam. Does Allah hate me?",
"Until now I'm single. Is this for eternity?
Is my singlehood a sign that Allah is Angry?",
"Frequent miscarriages. No kids. Is Allah Displeased?
What have I done to go through all these calamities?"
~•~
"Life is so stressful. Am I from those whom Allah hates?",
"I overslept. Did I do something wrong yesterday?
I hope Allah still loves me though I prayed Fajr late.",
"Is Allah still punishing me for my past mistakes?
Why are Allah's responses to my prayers delayed?"
~•~
When negative thoughts about our Creator arise,
Recall: Allah is the Most Merciful and Most Kind.
Allah's Love is greater than a mother's to her child.
Allah provides us with what's right, not what we desire.
Allah knows we're not perfect and loves it when we try.
~•~
Our sins are not larger than Allah's Ability
To forgive those who do Tawbah with sincerity.
Allah sees our limitations, capabilities,
Our needs, our condition and eagerness to succeed.
In Allah's Rahmah/Mercy never cease to believe.
~•~
Keep doing good to please Allah. Be glad you're trying.
When you fall into temptation, rush to repentance,
Believing that Allah is indeed Most Forgiving.
Slack, err, forget, get tired at times because you're human.
Trust Allah, strive and think well of Him, as a Muslim.

When he draws near to Me by the span of his hand, I draw near him by the length of a cubit. When he draws near Me by the length of a cubit, I draw near him by the length of a fathom. Note: Regarding Not Completing The Sunnah Fasting Of The White Days (Ayyaam Al-Beedh)

💐 In The Name Of Allah The Most Gracious The Most Merciful
📜 Question: While I fasted two days from the Sunnah fasting of ayyaam al-beedh (the three white days, 13th, 14th and 15th of each month), I did not fast on the third day due to some circumstances. Will I still receive rewards for the two days I fasted?
📝 Answer: Three is no doubt that you will (Inn-sha-Allah) be rewarded for them if you sincerely fasted those days for Allah's sake, not intending riyaa (to show off or impress others) nor sum'ah (to be heard that you did some righteous actions).
Allah the Almighty says, "Whoever comes (to Allah) with a good deed will be rewarded tenfold." [Surah Al-An'aam verse 160]
(There are other Ahadith/narrations regarding how a Muslim is rewarded for the good deeds they do to please Allah Subhaanahu wa Ta'aala.)

If he intends to do it and does so, Allah the Almighty will record it as ten good deeds, up to seven hundred times as much or even more. Note: Patiently Persevere For Allah's Sake As Your Husband's Loyal Wife

💐 In The Name Of Allah The Most Gracious The Most Merciful
💌 If you're a wife who's been married for at least a year now, you may have noticed that your husband occasionally shows he doesn't 24/7 make you his top priority. Because of his human flaws and personal necessities, sometimes he behaves like a gigantic baby when he prefers to sleep all day instead of going out with you on a memorable date, or his concentration on the latest news seems a lot more focused than when he chats with you, or he seems more in love with playing games or sports like basketball than spending romantic moments beside you exchanging hugs and sweet cuddles. Other times you wonder if you're the one he married or he technically proposed to his office, car or electronic gadgets a long time ago. AstaghfurAllah Al-'Atheem. As a Muslim wife Alhamdulillah who loves your husband for Allah's sake, the man whom Allah the Most Wise chose to be your other half because He knows that there are many similarities between you and your spouse along with all the shared experiences to which you both relate, you must expect that not everything in marriage life can go perfectly always. When situations get tough and blood temperatures often raise, one of you should be strong enough to stay patient and from needless drama walk away. After talking out your concerns and marital problems to Allah the Almighty, embrace patience for Allah and gain plenty of rewards by honoring your significant other with unconditional love fortified by steadfast loyalty. The rewards of the patient believers are never wasted. Never give up loving your husband for his inability to watch over you every second nor disconnect a blissful union because of a temporary problem. At all times rely on Allah the Most Wise. Remain as your husband's faithful wife not because you're weak and submissive, but because you're a strongly determined Muslimah who can fight off your selfish desires (without overlooking your own rights) and you believe that the ephemeral joys of this world can never be compared to the eternal bliss of Jannah Paradise.
📖 Abu Huraira RadhiAllahu 'anhu narrated: Allah's noble Messenger Muhammad SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam said, "If a woman prays her five prayers, fasts her month of Ramadan, guards her chastity, and obeys her husband, she will enter Paradise from any gate she wishes."

Note: In Islam There's No Need To Wear Engagement Or Wedding Rings

💐 In The Name Of Allah The Most Gracious The Most Merciful
📜 Question: Is wearing a ring for the women a bid'ah that is derived from Christian customs? Because I have read that the wedding ring or engagement ring is just for the man even if it is made from silver. Is this correct?
📝 Answer: The ring which the questioner is asking about we do not know of any basis for it (in Islam). And it appears to us that wearing such a ring (to display that one is married or engaged) is similar to resembling some unbelievers, as it is from their customs, according to what we were informed. Thus it is better to not take it as your own practice. What signals (or indicates) marriage is through official engagement and formal agreement between the one proposing and the proposed, and that is sufficient without requiring any special ring. And once the marital rites have been sealed or finalized, all matters have been accomplished, so there is no need for a wedding or engagement ring (to prove one's marital status), specially if this is one way of imitating the practices of the enemies of Allah the Almighty. It is imperative to avoid copying the misguided ways of those who oppose Allah Subhaanahu wa Ta'aala as much as possible.

Poem: The Importance Of Having The Correct 'Aqeedah And Belief In Allah The Almighty

💐 In The Name Of Allah The Most Gracious The Most Merciful
💌 Imagine a scenario where you must reach the top
Of a tall mountain without a single slip or drop,
Which of these methods would you pick so you can go up:
Grappling hook and incomplete tools in a climber's pack,
Feeble ladder or safe staircase made of steel and rocks?
~•~
Surely a clever person would choose the safest route,
One which can assure they won't get injured or confused.
As Muslims, it is crucial that we carefully choose
The right scholars to learn from and reliable books
To ensure our faith in Allah is stable and true.
~•~
Just as you won't tread a path that leads to a dead end
And you avoid absorbing bad vibes of toxic friends,
It's important that what you read of online content,
Islamic notes, and lectures you listen to often
Lead to Allah and His Prophet's Sunnah/tradition (SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam).
~•~
Without the right 'Aqeedah, some who claim to believe
Perform acts of worship wrongly and ignorantly.
Some commit sorcery, others call on the deceased,
Some do birthdays, others legalize adultery
Through brief "marriage", while others approach shirk clumsily.
~•~
To detect who's on the right track regarding our Deen,
Search for those who strive to obey Allah correctly,
Striving to follow Prophet Muhammad (SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam) sincerely,
Maintaining good manners to their best ability,
And they teach what they've learned, unafraid of mockery.

📖 Malik RadhiAllahu 'anhu narrated: Allah's noble Messenger Muhammad SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam said, "I have left you with two matters which will never lead you astray, as long as you hold on to them: The Book of Allah and the Sunnah of His Prophet (Muhammad SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam)."

Verily, the children of Israel split into seventy-two sects and my nation will split into seventy-three sects. All of them will be in Hellfire except for one sect." Poem: Signs Of An "INTJ Door Slam" Or You Have Completely Moved On

💐 In The Name Of Allah The Most Gracious The Most Merciful
💌 Signs you, as an INTJ, "door slammed" someone or
You've moved on from those with whom you're not friends anymore,
Not because of arrogance but you simply abhor
Toxic vibes, obvious lies, being purposely ignored
And mistreated by mean species that think you're a bore:
~•~
One: If ever you look back to sweet things you both did,
You don't weep with nostalgia, can't shed tears with regret,
And you're unable to miss them, not even one bit,
When you recall reconnecting won't bring benefit,
As they seem narcissistic or they're unsupportive.
~•~
Two: Though you have the chance to sign up for fake accounts
To stalk their Facebook timelines or posts they left around,
You don't bother stalking them and scrutinizing how
They're doing without you, if they're regretful or proud.
From visiting past nightmares yourself you disallow.
~•~
Three: If some friends or colleagues mention their names to you,
You don't go, "I knew them. I miss what we used to do.
Tell them I said 'hi'. I wonder, do they miss me too?"
But you resolutely, with unconcerned attitude,
Choose to keep quiet about mistakes you must eschew.
~•~
Four: If you woke up from a dream you want analyzed,
If there are special events you wish to organize,
If significant incidents gradually arise
And you like to seek advice from those whom you admire,
You don't refer to ex-friends, no contact nor invites.
~•~
Five: In case you meet them one day, with Allah's Decree,
At a social event, while shopping, or in the streets,
You don't go out of your way to greet, "Did you miss me?"
But rather you exchange salaams out of courtesy,
Then proceed to detach from artificiality.
~•~
As an INTJ who's no longer close to some,
You don't see them as enemies whom you plot against.
Mentioning them kindly in Du'as or discussions
And caring for their well-being are no longer done.
You're not arrogant. You're shielding yourself from their harms.
~•~

Note: Permissibility For The Imaam To Read From The Noble Qur'an When Praying Taraweeh Or Qiyaam Al-Layl

💐 In The Name Of Allah The Most Gracious The Most Merciful
📃 Summary: An Imaam who hasn't memorized the whole of the Noble Qur'an is allowed to recite from the Mushaf (copy of the Noble Qur'an) while leading the Muslims in praying Taraweeh or Tahajjud / Qiyaam Al-Layl.
Those who are praying with and behind the Imaam should not hold a Mushaf as they are supposed to concentrate in listening to the Imaam recite while looking downwards towards the position of Sujood, instead of reading the text and making unnecessary movements like folding and turning the pages.
If the Imaam has memorized the whole of the Noble Qur'an, then it is better to not carry a Mushaf so they can avoid the additional moves while praying such as frequently placing the Mushaf on a table, picking it up and searching for the page where they last read from etc.
Allah the Almighty knows best.

Note: Sunnah To Shake Hands When Regularly Meeting Muslims Of The Same Gender

💐 In The Name Of Allah The Most Gracious The Most Merciful
📜 Question: Kissing a friend (of the same gender) on their cheek after a long time of separation - is there something wrong with it or no?
📝 Answer: We do not know of any issue with it, although it is better to kiss the area between the person's eyes, nose or the head. Otherwise shaking hands is sufficient. A handshake is enough as a regular form of greeting. It has been narrated about the noble Prophet Muhammad SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam that he kissed in some occasions, that some of his companions RadhiAllahu 'anhum kissed his head or hand, but shaking hands is enough. And if a person kisses between his friend's eyes or above their nose (A custom among some Arabs when greeting) then it is better than kissing them in their cheek, specially if they arrived from travel or the friends have not seen each other in a long time.
It was narrated about the noble Prophet Muhammad SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam that when Ja'far bin Abi Talib RadhiAllahu 'anhu came from Habasha in the year of Khaybar, he kissed him between his eyes. And Abu Bakr As-Siddeeq RadhiAllahu 'anhu when he entered upon 'Aisha RadhiAllahu 'anha while she was unwell, he kissed her cheek. So the matter here is vast. A mahram (like the father) can briefly kiss the cheek of his daughter or sister, and kiss the head of his mother or between her eyes, or the head of his grandmother or elder sister, or paternal and maternal aunts, however shaking hands is sufficient.
Similarly when a person meets his friend, he shakes their right hand, as the noble Prophet Muhammad SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam said, "If one of you meets their brother then let him greet with the salaam, and if there is between them a tree, or wall, or stone, then let them pass by and then greet with the salaam."
This (frequent exchange of salaams and handshakes) encourages sympathy and harmony, while dispelling estrangement. The noble Messenger Muhammad SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam said, "The Muslim has six rights upon another Muslim: If you meet him, then greet with the salaam; and if he invites you (to a meal or gathering) then respond to his invitation; and if he requests for advice, then advise him; and if he sneezed then thanked Allah, then supplicate (say "YarhamukAllah" meaning 'May Allah have mercy on you'); and if he fell ill, then visit him; and if he died, then follow his funeral."
Anas RadhiAllahu 'anhu reported that the companions of the Messenger Muhammad SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam would shake hands when they met each other, and when they RadhiAllahu 'anhum would arrive from travel they would hug (or embrace) each other.
Fatima RadhiAllahu 'anha also mentioned that when she entered upon her father, he Muhammad SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam would walk up to her, take her by the hand, lightly kiss her and seat her beside him; and when he SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam entered upon her, she would walk up to him, take him by the hand, lightly kiss her father SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam and seat him where she was sitting.
And when Allah Subhaanahu wa Ta'aala accepted the Tawbah (repentance) of Ka'b bin Malik RadhiAllahu 'anhu and his companions RadhiAllahu 'anhum, and he went to the Masjid where the noble Prophet Muhammad SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam was in, with other people around, Talhah bin 'Ubaydullah RadhiAllahu 'anhu (one of the ten who were promised Jannah Paradise) quickly ran to him and shook his hand to congratulate him on having his Tawbah accepted by Allah the Most Forgiving. The companions RadhiAllahu 'anhum shook the hand of the noble Prophet Muhammad SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam and vice versa.
Therefore frequently exchanging salaams and offering handshakes are from the Sunnah of the beloved Messenger Muhammad SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam. As for kissing when someone has arrived from travel or from a long period of absence, then
Inn-sha-Allah there is no problem with kissing the area between their eyes, their forehead or above their head, and among mahrams kissing the cheek or head.

Poem: Three Tips On How Not To Be Overly Sensitive

💐 In The Name Of Allah The Most Gracious The Most Merciful
💌 Three tips on how not to be overly sensitive,
To not cry easily when critiqued or insulted,
And to stay unfazed by rude speech designed to upset:
Agree if the words are correct. If not, then don't fret.
Know critics' motives, and believe in Allah's Justice.
~•~
One: If there's truth in the insults, even a small bit,
Then use it to improve, patiently rise above it,
Admit you're imperfect just as they too have defects,
Otherwise if they're lies or they aren't accurate,
Don't feel bothered one bit by liars' verbal garbage.
~•~
Two: Analyze - did they insult because they're jealous,
And seeing you get offended keeps them contented?
Or do they bash and criticize to ease self-hatred,
Or their rudeness stems from inferiority complex?
By insecure people's sadness don't be affected.
~•~
Three: Trust Allah and know He heard what your bashers said.
Note that fault-finders pursue those who strive for success.
All humans have rivals, including Allah's Prophets,
So don't assume you're the only one who gets hated.
Call on Allah Who hates those guilty of injustice.
~•~
View insults as blessings that remove past sins you did,
And take them as tools that encourage self-awareness.
Don't weep over the slurs of someone who's not perfect.
Instead, the fact they don't know you kindly acknowledge.
Be glad you're not them bullies ignorant and distressed.
If something befalls you, then do not say: 'If only I had done something else.’ Rather say: "Allah has decreed what He wills." Verily, the phrase 'if only' opens the way for the work of shaytan."

📖 Ibn Mas'ud RadhiAllahu 'anhu narrated: The Messenger of Allah SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam was distributing charity when a man from the Ansaar said, “By Allah, Muhammad did not intend to please Allah with this!” I came to the Prophet SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam and told him about it, then anger could be seen on his face. The Prophet SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam said, "Moses (Prophet Musa 'alaihis salaam) was hurt by more than this, yet he remained patient."

Poem: Never Act Like You Know Someone When You Don't Really Know Them

💐 In The Name Of Allah The Most Gracious The Most Merciful
💌 To critics who act like sycophants to huge ego,
Who judge you like they know you when you're not even close,
Who diss your marriage based on guesses completely false,
And describe you like they know you when they don't at all:
Don't flatter yourself with lies that attract your downfall.
~•~
Remember this, Only Allah the Almighty knows
All about His servants, what they conceal and disclose,
What they dream at night and the kind of thoughts they think of,
What they tell themselves to encourage or clear sorrow,
And what their plans are before some of them get disowned.
~•~
You don't know someone if all you do is wave hello,
Exchange salaams, reluctant smiles or awkward convos,
If you went out together once, or all you recall
Are their names and info they shared from their online posts,
And you've never had talks with them that are deep or long.
~•~
You don't know someone until you've seen them in their homes,
Saw their true nature without them putting on a show,
Witnessed their habits that with Allah's Will helped them grow,
Observed their efforts to serve Allah, heard all their words
And understood their reasons behind each "yes" and "no".
~•~
If you don't know someone, stop pretending like you know
Them when you're still strangers and most things they haven't told.
We're Allah's slaves born with flaws and prone to making faults.
Before throwing labels at others, inspect yourself.
Is your heart pure if your morals are low and absurd?

Poem: In Dunya, We're Not Completely Free To Do What We Want As Muslims.

💐 In The Name Of Allah The Most Gracious The Most Merciful
💌 For the believers who fear Allah the Almighty
And who strive to obey Allah's Orders faithfully,
This world/dunya is like a prison, we aren't free
To do what we want, pursue whatever the nafs seeks,
And behave however we wish so ego is pleased.
~•~
As Muslims, we're not allowed to tell lies knowingly,
To backbite and gossip about friends or enemies,
To mistreat others and treat anyone unfairly,
To "love" someone of the same gender unlawfully,
And to try all forms of zina or adultery.
~•~
Oftentimes you feel like stealing someone's property,
Or lying to benefit from people's sympathy,
Or deceiving in business to earn cash more quickly,
Or meeting up with a crush to fullfil fantasies,
But then you stop, when you recall Allah always sees.
~•~
You restrain yourself and chain your desires patiently,
Striving to pass all of Allah's tests successfully,
Even if those who can't defeat their nafs are many
And to act on feelings you have the ability.
You prefer lasting peace to pleasures temporary.
~•~
While depriving ourselves of dunya isn't easy,
Recalling Allah's rewards, Jannah's eternity,
And Allah's Love for those who maintain their piety,
Keeps us dedicated to Allah with loyalty,
Despite dunya's temptations that are momentary.

Poem: Tips On How To Keep Some Good Deeds Just Between You And Allah The Almighty

💐 In The Name Of Allah The Most Gracious The Most Merciful
💌 Three tips on how to keep some good deeds confidential,
Truly between you and Allah the Most Merciful,
Closer to Ikhlaas and far from people's appraisal:
Don't announce good deeds. Don't do things to be credible.
Be pious for Allah, not to impress the people.
~•~
When you're fasting and some give you a dish, be grateful
Without stating you're fasting in a way that's boastful.
Clarify only if you don't want to be hurtful
When someone offers you a drink or some edibles.
Inform you're fasting and for their kindness you're thankful.
~•~
When you gave somebody a tip for being helpful,
Donated some amount to projects charitable,
Granted some beggars money or bought them essentials,
Keep them between you and Allah the Most Merciful.
No need to broadcast them to be an influential.
~•~
If you aim to enjoin right, share what's beneficial,
And yearning for people's praise is not your goal at all,
Then continue to be kind, narrate what is useful,
Implement what you preach, don't be hypocritical,
And pray Sunnah prayers often like Qiyaam Al-Layl.
~•~
Always ask Allah that He keeps you sincere, truthful,
And calm with a heart that serves Allah, not the people,
So your energy spent on good deeds isn't wasteful.
Ensure your secret good deeds outweigh the visible
Ones to join those who strive to stay true and dutiful.

📖 Abu Huraira RadhiAllahu 'anhu narrated that the Messenger of Allah SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam said, "The Mufarridun (the isolated or those who like to isolate themselves) have gone ahead (in gaining rewards)." Note: How To Clear Oneself Of The Major Sin Of Gossip Or Backbiting

💐 In The Name Of Allah The Most Gracious The Most Merciful
📜 Question: I am a woman who has gossiped and talked badly about others behind their backs many times, and no one has been spared from my tongue, even strangers or passersby in the streets I'm guilty of backbiting about them. I have gossiped about my brothers, my sisters, my father, my husband, my neighbors, and my relatives, nearly every one of them. And if I attended a social gathering I would not leave anyone behind but I'd gossip about a fault or flaw in them, and this (bad habit of gossiping) went on for ten years or more. Now repenting with the most severest regret, I feel guilty of how I previously misbehaved. I have repented and returned to Allah the Almighty and I hope that He Subhaanahu wa Ta'aala has accepted my repentance, however I understand that repenting from the major sin of gossiping requires a condition, which is to rectify matters and fix things with those whom I gossiped about. How can I clear myself of backbiting my family when doing so may bring about hatred? And how do I repent from gossip concerning strangers (and people whom I cannot easily contact) when doing so is difficult, complicating and I'm unable to locate them? Is there another way out (instead of asking, one by one, for each person's forgiveness)? Would you advise me to pray that Allah the Most Forgiving forgives those people whom I have badly spoken about in the past, or what do I do? Will it suffice that I pray for them after every prayer?
📝 Answer: Sincere Tawbah (repentance) to Allah the Most Merciful is enough Alhamdulillah, and we ask Allah that He accepts it (Tawbah) from you.
Ask Allah earnestly that He grants them pardon and forgiveness, and mention their names in a good manner (to better their reputation) or describe them in a positive way (to compensate for formerly backbiting).
As for fixing things with each and every individual whom you gossiped about previously, then it is not necessary due to the difficult circumstances that you have mentioned. However if you know that some of them are aware of your spreading rumors about them, then it is better to directly approach them and ask for their forgiveness. Tell them "I have done this, please excuse my ignorance and forgive me." if doing so is easy and you don't fear any negative consequence. Otherwise, if requesting them to forgive you could lead to further fitna, enmity or trouble, then Tawbah with sincerity is enough, Alhamdulillah, and in this case you are not obliged to ask for pardon individually. Regarding individuals whom you do not know, yet you insulted them, then sincere Tawbah for Allah's sake, as well as making Du'a for them, is sufficient. Alhamdulillah.
From the Fataawa of sheikh AbdulAziz Ibn Baz (May Allah have mercy on him. Ameen.)

📖 Abdullah Ibn Amr RadhiAllahu 'anhu reported that they mentioned a man in front of the Messenger of Allah SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam and they said, “He only eats if he is fed! He only moves if he is made to move!” The Prophet SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam said, "You have backbitten him." They said, “We only said what is true about him.” The Prophet SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam said, "It is enough sin to mention bad things about your brother."

Note: Laughing Loudly, Not Smiling, Is One Of The Things That Invalidate One's Prayer, Avoid It As Much As Possible

💐 In The Name Of Allah The Most Gracious The Most Merciful
📜 Question: Does smiling invalidate the prayer? (If a person is about to laugh but restrains their laughter and smiles instead while praying, do they have to pray again?)
📝 Answer: It (smiling) does not invalidate the prayer. While smiling does not break one's prayer, laughing (or giggling) is among the things which invalidate one's prayer. Laughter with clear sound (that is audible) is what invalidates the prayer. Talking or having a dialogue with others while one is aware of its prohibition while praying also invalidates one's prayer. [So if a person only smiles, without laughing aloud, they can continue praying.]
From the Fataawa of sheikh AbdulAziz Ibn Baz (May Allah have mercy on him. Ameen.)

~•~
Some possible reasons why a Muslim may smile while praying:
1] Hearing someone hiccup loudly while saying "Ameen" if praying in the Masjid and in congregation.
2] Somehow noticing someone's toddler standing right in front of you, staring for several minutes and patting your head when you perform Sujood.
3] Overhearing a funny conversation between some children who haven't reached the age yet when kids are obliged to pray (around ten years old or when they have seen the signs of puberty).

Note: It Is Preferable To Use One's Right Hand When Holding, Carrying, Giving And Receiving.

💐 In The Name Of Allah The Most Gracious The Most Merciful
📜 Question: Is it allowed to hold the Mushaf (Copy of the Noble Qur'an) with the left hand?
📝 Answer: I do not know if there is any issue with this thing, however holding the Mushaf and carrying it with the right hand is better. Using the right hand is more preferable as the noble Messenger Muhammad SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam used his right hand (or began doing most, if not all, activities from his right hand) when it came to purification, wearing his shoes, in giving and receiving, and so forth. If there is a necessity for the person to use their left hand to carry and hold, say because their right hand is tired or temporarily it can't be used for lifting, or they are using their right hand for another purpose and the like, then
Inn-sha-Allah there is no problem in using the left hand for carrying. It is still recommended to use the right hand (to be closer to following the Sunnah of the beloved Prophet Muhammad SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam).
From the Fataawa of sheikh AbdulAziz Ibn Baz (May Allah have mercy on him. Ameen.)

Note: Permissibility To Trim One's Fingernails And Toenails In The Evening

💐 In The Name Of Allah The Most Gracious The Most Merciful
📜 Question: Is trimming one's fingernails at night haraam/forbidden or no?
📝 Answer: Trimming one's nails in the evening or in the daytime is allowed. (There is no evidence in which the noble Messenger Muhammad SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam prohibited the trimming of nails at night.)
From the Fataawa of sheikh AbdulAziz Ibn Baz (May Allah have mercy on him. Ameen.)

Poem: Why Seek Authentic Islamic Knowledge? Just To Please Allah The Almighty And Be Near Him.

💐 In The Name Of Allah The Most Gracious The Most Merciful
💌 Study Islam sincerely for Allah. Don't be like
A candle wax that melts while providing others light,
In the process of making others' surroundings bright
It burns itself. So don't seek knowledge to be admired,
To be labeled "smart aleck" or post notes for the likes.
~•~
Your niyyah, intention and motive to learn should be
To understand Islam and worship Allah rightly,
To discover the good deeds you must do faithfully,
To distinguish between truth and lies or fallacies,
And to serve Allah well so in both worlds you succeed.
~•~
Don't attend religious classes or lectures because
Your elders ordered and your learning is only forced,
Or some friends invited you and you don't want them hurt,
Yet by attending to please them you just harm yourself.
Study Islam for Allah, not for worldly motives.
~•~
Don't research Islam or hear Islamic talks just to
Be a "pseudo-intellectual" with so much to prove,
Or to refute and argue with those who disapprove
Of your views, and in every debate you'd hate to lose.
Study for Allah, so as a Muslim you improve.
~•~
Don't let your fear of riyaa or insincerity
Stop you from seeking knowledge to strengthen piety.
If thoughts like, "Look at you, an intellect-wannabe
Trying too hard to impress your fans with what you read."
Pass by, ignore shaytan's whispers, of them don't take heed.
~•~
Accept the fact that without Islamic knowledge, you
Are like confused hikers who lost their way in the woods.
When night falls and you lack tools, you don't know what to do,
In searching around without map or torch there's no use.
Hence learn Islam, so Allah's Way can be shown to you.
~•~
There's no limit or deadline when it comes to learning
About Islam and info required as a Muslim.
Even if you're a graduate of an institution
Or you earned certificates of participation,
Keep learning our Deen for Allah until we meet Him.
~•~

Poem: Three Things To Do If You're Eager To Make A Friend Out Of A Stranger

💐 In The Name Of Allah The Most Gracious The Most Merciful
💌 The way some strangers become friends is almost the same
As the steps to take if you want stray cats to be tamed.
Three conditions if they're met, stray cats won't run away,
And instead they'll like you, approaching you day by day:
Don't threaten. Be consistent. Make them appreciate.
~•~
Like cats that can't come closer to what may threaten them,
Strangers can't befriend you if they're jealously threatened,
Frightened by your potential to harm or insult them,
Or they won't trust you if you're a pro at fault-finding,
At gossiping and mocking people's imperfections.
~•~
Just as stray cats stop visiting if you no longer
Offer them food or drink with a pleasant atmosphere,
Strangers who could be your friends may slowly disappear
If you take them for granted, if your grudge is too clear,
Or there's no mutual care, or they deem your words unclear.
~•~
Like felines that rub against some people's legs for food
And cats that let you pat them feeling relaxed with you,
Some gravitate to you when they relate to your moves,
Identify with your goals, connect with your values,
And the good that you share they receive with gratitude.
~•~
Next time, when Allah Wills, you're willing to make a friend
Out of a stranger, sincerely do the following:
Remind them you're human, so they won't be envying.
Maintain honest communication and have patience.
Help each other, for Allah, become better Muslims.

Poem: Three Signs That Your Marriage Is A Gift And Blessing From Allah The Almighty

💐 In The Name Of Allah The Most Gracious The Most Merciful
💌 Three signs that indicate your marriage is a blessing,
Full of barakah, a love journey wisely destined,
And by Allah the Most Wise your romance was written,
So you and your spouse thank Allah, without regretting,
For making you each other's soulmates with contentment:
~•~
One: Though you and your husband don't have many children,
Or if you married late, or you frequently miss him
Since he works far away and can't see you as often
As you both would want, or he doesn't have high earnings,
You can afford to wait and patience isn't tiring.
~•~
His frequent absence, wide age gap, distance, employment
And your profession making matters more challenging,
Current low income, and other tough situations,
Don't lead to doubting the reasons why you married him,
But you're content, and won't question Allah's selection.
~•~
Two: Another sign that your love is filled with blessings
Is clear improvement in you both, as striving Muslims.
Loving each other for Allah has sweetly enhanced
Your empathy, Sabr, gratitude, and resilience,
While past misdoings, for Allah, have been abandoned.
~•~
One another you encourage to be determined
In doing good deeds to please Allah such as praying,
Fasting, reading the Qur'an, wearing modest clothing,
Learning about Islam, advising, and mentioning
Each other's names in loving Du'as/supplications.
~•~
Three: Feel ever grateful that Allah the All-Knowing
Blessed your marriage if this love brings you closer to Him,
If it protects you from fitna and forbidden flings,
And despite several souls catching your attention,
You stubbornly persist in loving your dear husband.
~•~
You know your spouse is a blessing if he's inspiring,
If his good qualities inspire yours to be strengthened,
And if you have improved ever since marrying him,
As his soulmate, and one of Allah's faithful servants,
A blessed wife who strives for Jannah with dedication.

💐 In The Name Of Allah The Most Gracious The Most Merciful
📜 Question: If Monday falls on one of the white days (13th, 14th and 15th of the month) or one intends to fast to make up for the missed obligatory fasts, is it permissible for me to intend to fast the Sunnah fasting on Mondays, combined with fasting on the three white days, or the fasting of compensation, or to combine all three together?
📝 Answer: If the fasting is an obligatory one (fasting to compensate for any of the missed obligatory fasts in Ramadan), then it is necessary to have only one intention, to perform it as an obligatory fast. As for voluntary/Sunnah fasts, then Alhamdulillah, you can combine the intention of fasting Sunnah fasts if Monday falls on one of the three white days. As for the obligatory fast (fasting in Ramadan), it is a must to have only niyyah/intention (you cannot combine the intention of obligatory deeds with voluntary actions), whether you fast on a Monday or any other day.
If the Muslim has some obligatory fasts which they couldn't fast in the previous Ramadan (due to monthly period, pregnancy, or an illness), they must strive to complete their fasting before they fast a voluntary/Sunnah fast (without combining their intention to fast the obligatory fast with another niyyah for Sunnah fasting).
Performing the obligatory deeds take precedence over the voluntary ones.
[Note: You can Inn-sha-Allah earn additional rewards if you intend to fast Sha'baan Sunnah fasting with another niyyah to fast on a Thursday or Monday following the Sunnah of the beloved Messenger Muhammad SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam. If some of your obligatory fasts are lacking, focus on completing them before fasting the first days of Sha'baan and before Ramadan returns.
Allah the Almighty knows best.]

📖 Umar Ibn Al-Khattab RadhiAllahu 'anhu narrated: Allah's noble Messenger Muhammad SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam said, "Verily, deeds are only with intentions. Verily, every person will have only what they intended. Whoever emigrated to Allah and His Messenger, his emigration is for Allah and His Messenger (SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam). Whoever emigrated to get something in the world or to marry a woman, his emigration is for that to which he emigrated."

Note: It Is Allowed To Fast Sunnah Fasts Even If One's Niyyah/Intention To Fast Is Made After The Fajr Prayer

💐 In The Name Of Allah The Most Gracious The Most Merciful
📜 Question: Does fasting a voluntary/Sunnah fast (like on Mondays, Thursdays, in Sha'baan and six days of Shawwaal) require a fixed niyyah/intention prior to its performance? Or is it possible for the Muslim to intend to fast a Sunnah fast any time of the day, if he or she did not eat nor drink anything after Salat Al-Fajr?
📝 Answer: There is no problem in this. It is not a condition to fix one's niyyah/intention when it comes to a voluntary/Sunnah fast. If the person woke up in the morning without eating and drinking anything, then he or she can make the niyyah/intention to fast a Sunnah fast, as it was mentioned in a Hadith in which the noble Messenger Muhammad SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam entered upon 'Aisha RadhiAllahu 'anha one day asking if there was anything to eat. When she said no, he SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam responded with, "in that case, I am fasting."
Therefore you can fast starting from any time of the day as long as you did not do anything beforehand which would invalidate a fast (such as eating, drinking, having intercourse with one's spouse in the morning etc.)
As for the obligatory fast in Ramadan, then it is mandatory to fix one's niyyah/intention before wanting to fast on a day in Ramadan, before the Adhan of the Fajr Salah. Yes.
