Poem: A Muslim Woman's Worth Is In Serving Allah, Not Her Beauty Nor Society

💐 In The Name Of Allah The Most Gracious The Most Merciful
💌 Your worth as a Muslimah isn't measured by looks,
By how slim, graceful and stylish you make yourself look,
By the kinds of food you eat or how well you can cook,
By how many vlogs and selfies can get your fans hooked,
And by the places or countries you have traveled to.
~•~
A woman's glow outshining yours doesn't always mean
You're not as good. In terms of appearance don't compete.
Socialites who know how to keep their make-up on fleek,
Whose wardrobes often get filled with clothes that are trendy,
Shouldn't make you feel less, inferior, or incomplete.
~•~
As Allah's servants, we serve Him, not society.
As Muslims we don't aspire to be celebrities.
We're not puppets nor slaves of the fashion industry,
Not minions of influencers who loathe modesty,
Not statues for decoration nor commodities.
~•~
A confident Muslim woman can browse through YouTube,
Pass by fashionistas without feeling insecure,
Notice vloggers who flaunt their wealth with proud attitude
While she feels nothing yet thanks Allah with gratitude.
Being rich or gorgeous doesn't affect one's value.
~•~
Her worth is in worshipping Allah throughout her life,
In reading Qur'an, saying Du'a, at peace inside,
Studying and sharing Islam online and offline,
With a tranquil heart free from envying others' lives,
As she calmly smiles awaiting Jannah Paradise.

The worst of your women unveil their beauty, take pride in their appearance, and they are hypocrites. None of them will enter Paradise except as rarely as you see a red-beaked crow."

Tips: What To Do When You Discover Some "Friends" Or Colleagues Gossiping About You

💐 In The Name Of Allah The Most Gracious The Most Merciful
💌 An awkward situation that a person can get themselves into is blurting some offensive remarks about another individual while having an online group meeting on Zoom, Big Blue Button or Skype, and they were unaware that their microphone wasn't set to mute. Imagine a scenario where you're attending a virtual class and while waiting for the instructor or main speaker to sign in, you overhear one of your classmates or colleagues say about you, "oh look, she's already logged in, the internet addict, the narcissist, the fatty, miss bossy pants, the hypocritical perfectionist etc." and others chime in laughing with "Ugh, I hate her so much!", "Yeah, she's annoying. A bore and show-off." and "I hate how she acts like she's better than us." What would your instant reaction be, whether you keep their ridiculous comments to yourself or you talk back saying, "Mayday, mayday, you forgot to mute your mic! Stop broadcasting your fakery and undeniable jealousy, guys." or "Ahem. Ahem. Wow. It seems like you clowns know more about me than I do myself. Please tell me more. I'm listening."?
It's from Allah's Mercy that He allows us to discover the true colors of some of the people whom He destined for us to meet. Instead of regularly chatting with them about personal matters, inviting them to go shopping or visit an Islamic bookstore with you, and buying them free snacks or drinks once in a while, Allah Subhaanahu wa Ta'aala eventually exposes their nature so your energy, money and loyalty wouldn't be wasted on toxic people like them. Once a person has proved that they have the obnoxious tendency to gossip and describe you in the nastiest way possible, you can cancel your willingness to be more acquainted with them, and instead consider them as another stranger with whom you're not interested in connecting. Forgive them for Allah's sake, while adamantly avoiding actors and gossipers whose values don't align with yours.
Any statement which you don't want a certain someone to know about, whether it's said in a group chat or you typed it in a status message which is visible to a carefully selected list of followers, may be something that's better off left unsaid, if you don't want to be guilty of the major sin of backbiting and gossiping.

📖 AbdurRahman ibn Ghanm RadhiAllahu 'anhu narrated: Allah's noble Messenger Muhammad SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam said, "The best servants of Allah are those who remind you of Allah when they are seen. The worst servants of Allah are those who carry gossip, separating between loved ones and seeking misery for the innocent."

📖 An-Nawwas ibn Sam’an RadhiAllahu 'anhu narrated: Allah's noble Messenger Muhammad SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam said: "Righteousness is good character and sin is what wavers in your heart (makes you feel doubtful) and you hate for the people to find out about it."

📖 Abdullah ibn Amr RadhiAllahu 'anhu reported that they mentioned a man in front of the Messenger of Allah SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam and they said, “He only eats if he is fed! He only moves if he is made to move!” The Prophet SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam said, "You have backbitten him." They said, “We only said what is true about him.” The Prophet SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam said, "It is enough sin to mention bad things about your brother."
In another narration, the Prophet SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam said, "If what you said about him were not true, you would have slandered him."

Poem: Wear The Niqab For Allah As A Dutiful Muslimah

💐 In The Name Of Allah The Most Gracious The Most Merciful
💌 "Is she pretty? You've seen her face? How does she look like?",
"You must be so beautiful! I can tell from your eyes.",
"I bet you're so gorgeous if you resemble your child.",
"I'd never have guessed you're a hottie until this time.",
"Girl, you've got a cute face, so why keep it out of sight?"
~•~
Please understand we wear the niqab to serve Allah,
To obey His commands to be worthy of Jannah,
To follow the styles of the wives of RasulAllah (Muhammad SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam),
To be a means of goodness not a source of fitna,
To be judged not by looks but our faith and persona.
~•~
I'd hate it if you'd compare my nose to this woman's,
Determine how fine I look based on my complexion,
Confirm I'm pretty if my face is well-proportioned,
Measure my worth according to outward appearance,
Or claim my face reminds you of a certain someone.
~•~
When women in niqab and abaya go outside
For work, for shopping, or to visit friends not nearby,
Indirectly they help men stay loyal to their wives
By preventing them from comparing how they look like
To their wives' beauty if they're guys with wandering eyes.
~•~
Again I emphasize that Allah is why we veil,
To level up our sense of modesty and conceal
The face when outdoors like a box safeguards a jewel,
As a blessing, not a distraction, to the people.
I don't care about fashion. Allah's Love matters more.
~•~
📖 It was narrated from Safiyyah Bint Shaybah RadhiAllahu 'anha that 'Aisha RadhiAllahu 'anha used to say: "When these words were revealed – “...and to draw their veils all over Juyoobihinna (i.e. their bodies, faces, necks and bosoms)” [Surah An-Noor verse 31] – they took their izaars (a kind of garment) and tore them from the edges and covered their faces with them."
Narrated by Al-Bukhari, 4481. The following version was narrated by Abu Dawood (4102): "May Allah have mercy on the Muhaajir women. When Allah revealed the words, “and to draw their veils all over Juyoobihinna (i.e. their bodies, faces, necks and bosoms)” [Surah An-Noor verse 31], they tore the thickest of their aprons (a kind of garment) and covered their faces with them."
📖 'Aisha RadhiAllahu 'anha narrated: "The believing women would pray the dawn (Fajr) prayer with the Prophet Muhammad SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam. Then, they would return home wrapped in their mantles (long cloaks); they would not be recognized by anyone."
