Poem: What Real Arrogance Is And What It Isn't

💐 In The Name Of Allah The Most Gracious The Most Merciful

💌 Arrogance is not in speaking up confidently,

Asserting your rights, sharing knowledge generously,

Defending a Muslim when some speak of them badly,

Enjoying solitude and choosing your friends wisely.

~•~

Real arrogance is to deny the truth pridefully,

To roll your eyes when someone speaks and say, "Oh really?

Who are you to correct my mistakes? You're nobody.

I'm way better than you. Your words mean nothing to me."

~•~

Real arrogance states, "I won't learn from anybody.

I was born perfect. I'm free from flaws, deficiencies,

And responsibilities. It's not my job to teach.

My ego is so big I can't even say sorry."

~•~

Arrogance is not in appreciating beauty,

Wearing clothes you can afford, writing creatively,

Taking care of your looks and liking to be pretty.

True arrogance keeps your nose in the air so proudly.

~•~

True arrogance makes one think, "I'm the best. I'm lucky.

No one else can surpass my fabulous qualities.

I'm entitled to special treatment like VIPs,

And those who don't greet me first are avowed enemies."

~•~

Actual arrogance causes one to act spitefully,

To envy others' gifts, oppress like jealous bullies,

To laugh when someone makes mistakes or falls clumsily,

To regard strangers' tips and advice as unworthy.

~•~

Arrogant people are insecure, inside ugly,

And since they're guilty of kibr, they lack inner peace.

The humble submit themselves to Allah patiently,

And strive to be fair and kind with every soul they meet.

~•~

📖 Abdullah Ibn Mas’ud RadhiAllahu 'anhu narrated: Allah's noble Messenger Muhammad SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam said, "No one who has the weight of a seed of arrogance in his heart will enter Paradise." Someone said, "But a man loves to have beautiful clothes and shoes." The Prophet SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam said, "Verily, Allah is Beautiful and He loves beauty. Arrogance means rejecting the truth and looking down on the people."

In another narration, the Prophet SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam said, "No one who has the weight of a seed of faith in his heart will enter Hellfire."

Note: Dress Code For Muslim Men And The Forbiddance Of Wearing Clothes With Pride

💐 In The Name Of Allah The Most Gracious The Most Merciful

💌 Allah the Most Wise knows best.

Three reasons why Muslim men are not allowed to wear garments, thobe and pants below their ankles:

1] To maintain their masculinity, just as they are obliged to keep their beards, and to prevent them from imitating the distinctive mannerisms of women when the latter drag their dresses and gowns.

2] To clearly differentiate them from the unbelievers who don't follow a certain dress code. Besides being distinguished by their long beards and lowering the gaze, another signature of pious Muslim men is dutifully avoiding the qaza' haircut, silk, gold, and clothing that flow beneath their ankles.

3] To examine who from the Muslims will readily obey Allah Subhaanahu wa Ta'aala and His noble Messenger Muhammad SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam and who would stubbornly give more importance to their desires and modern society's demands.

📖 Abu Huraira RadhiAllahu 'anhu narrated: Allah's noble Messenger Muhammad SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam said, "Verily, Allah the Almighty does not accept the prayer of a man who trails his garment in pride."

📖 Abu Sa’eed Al-Khudri RadhiAllahu 'anhu narrated: Allah's noble Messenger Muhammad SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam said, "The garment of a Muslim (man) should be lowered to the middle of the shin (front part of the leg below the knee), but there is no harm or blame in what is between it and the ankles. Whatever is lower than the ankles is in the Hellfire. Whoever trails his garment in pride, Allah will never look at him."

Al-Azimabadi said, “In this tradition is evidence that it is recommended for the garment of a Muslim man to be lowered midway between the shins, and it is permissible, without being discouraged, to lower it even further to the ankles.”

Poem: Importance Of Staying Away From Music For Allah's Sake

💐 In The Name Of Allah The Most Gracious The Most Merciful

💌 From the Muslims are a special few whom Allah loves

And He guides their hearts to hate songs designed to distract.

Musical instruments and song lyrics they gave up

Because they prefer Allah, as they ditch shaytan's traps.

~•~

Their hearts are so pure that they can't absorb shaytan's tracks,

Addictive music and meaningless words that destruct

Faith and insight to distinguish what's right from what's not.

Music addicts may be prone to crimes and the dark arts.

~•~

Know that most music videos advocate and instruct:

Attachment to dunya, inflated ego, and drugs,

Sexual fluidity, gay and lesbian acts,

Checking others out and bowing down to wretched lusts.

~•~

Souls who seek Allah abstain from what He does not love.

Their hearts incline to the Qur'an, Dhikr and Du'as.

Strive not to mix good with bad, and you'll subdue waswaas.

Music can't sway those whose hearts are free from vice and rust.

~•~

If told "Music is relaxing", tell them "No, it's not."

Music makes you forget your goals, seeking Allah's Love,

And it can intoxicate you, so you breed vile thoughts.

Peace is in loving Allah, not shaytan's toys and knots.

~•~

📖 Abu 'Aamir or Abu Malik Al-Ash'ari RadhiAllahu 'anhu narrated that he heard the Prophet Muhammad SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam saying, "From among my followers there will be some people who will consider illegal sexual intercourse (zina), the wearing of silk (by men), the drinking of alcoholic drinks and the use of musical instruments, as lawful (evidence that they are haraam/forbidden). And there will be some people who will stay near the side of a mountain and in the evening their shepherd will come to them with their sheep and ask them for something, but they will say to him, 'Return to us tomorrow.' Allah will destroy them during the night and will let the mountain fall on them, and He will transform the rest of them into monkeys and pigs and they will remain so until the Day of Resurrection."

📖 Abu Malik Al-Ash'ari RadhiAllahu 'anhu narrated: Allah's noble Messenger Muhammad SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam said, "Some people from my nation will drink wine, calling it by different names, and musical instruments will be played for them and girls will sing to them. Allah will cause the earth to swallow them up, and He (Subhaanahu wa Ta'aala) will turn some of them into apes and pigs."

Tips: Good Deeds That Benefit The Dead In Their Graves

💐 In The Name Of Allah The Most Gracious The Most Merciful
🗒️ Some notes regarding doing good deeds on behalf of Muslims who died, specially one's deceased parents:
1] Including them in your Du'as / supplications regularly, praying to Allah the Almighty that He forgives them, protects them from the torment of the grave and jahannam, and destines them to be among the people of Jannatul Ferdaus, can benefit Muslims who have passed away.
2] The rewards of doing charity for Allah's sake
can Inn-sha-Allah benefit Muslims in their graves. Some examples of charitable deeds you can do on their behalf include:
1) Giving some financial assistance, clothing, food, or free accommodation to the needy and less fortunate on behalf of the deceased.
2) Providing food and drink to birds and animals on behalf of the dead, specially if they frequently fed stray cats when they were alive.
3) Building a well, water tank, or providing water for the people, including travelers or clients, on behalf of the deceased.
4) Constructing an orphanage, under their name or on their behalf, where Muslim orphans can reside for free and study about Islam.
5) Distributing authentic Islamic books on their behalf or occasionally sharing some of their Islamic writings, articles, and recorded Islamic lectures.
3] Doing good deeds on someone's behalf doesn't really benefit a person who didn't live as a Muslim.
4] If a Muslim died during Ramadan and they weren't able to complete the remaining fasts, any of their immediate relatives or close friends can fast the obligatory fasts on their behalf. Inn-sha-Allah they can earn rewards for kindly assisting them in completing their fasts.
5] There is no need to fast missed obligatory fasts if the deceased Muslims had a justifiable or valid excuse for not fasting, such as coma, long-term illness, and any disease which prevented them from doing the good deeds they usually do.
6] The rewards of reading any chapter / Surah from the Noble Qur'an and fasting Sunnah / voluntary fasts on behalf of the dead can't really reach them. Your Du'as are more rewarding and effective if you pray for their forgiveness while fasting your own Sunnah fasts.
7] Inn-sha-Allah you may perform Hajj and/or Umrah / pilgrimage on behalf of deceased Muslims, even if they have performed Hajj at least once before when they were living.
Allah the Almighty knows best.

📖 Ibn Abbas RadhiAllahu 'anhuma narrated: A woman came to the Messenger of Allah SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam and she said, "My mother has died and she owed a month of fasting." The Prophet SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam said, "Do you think if she had a debt you would repay it on her behalf?" She said "yes." The Prophet SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam said, "The debts of Allah are more worthy to be repaid."

Poem: Dunya Wasn't Meant To Be Easy. Strive For Allah And Pass His Tests.

💐 In The Name Of Allah The Most Gracious The Most Merciful

💌 Life is hard? Tired? Stressed? Overwhelmed by countless problems?

This world is a platform of tests, have you forgotten?

Even the rich go through worry and predicament,

Just as many celebs conceal fears and depression.

~•~

No human is completely free from imperfections,

Puzzles to solve, hurt feelings, moments of confusion,

Stress and expectations that lead to disappointments.

You're not alone. All humans are being examined.

~•~

Some are tested with wealth or insufficient earnings,

Others with looking after their loved ones and children.

Some struggle with one-sided love, feeling heartbroken,

While many deal with emptiness due to misguidance.

~•~

Dunya was meant to be filled with examinations.

It's supposed to be like that, full of tribulations

And trials from Allah the Almighty to strengthen

The righteous souls to prepare them for Jannah's entrance.

~•~

So life's tests are less challenging, maintain connection

With our Creator Allah, say Du'a, stay patient,

Study the Qur'an, learn Islam, and be resilient

Until you reach Jannah where there won't be suffering.

~•~

📖 Anas ibn Malik RadhiAllahu 'anhu narrated: Allah's noble Messenger Muhammad SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam said, "Whoever is concerned about the Hereafter, Allah will place richness in his heart, bring his affairs together, and the world will come to him although he is reluctant for it. Whoever is concerned about the world, Allah will place poverty between his eyes, disorder his affairs, and he will get nothing of the world but what is decreed for him."
