💐 In The Name Of Allah The Most Gracious The Most Merciful

💌 Is your heart pure enough to think well of a Muslim? 

When some post Islamic reminders, your reaction 

Is 'MashaAllah', 'May Allah accept it from them', 

Or 'Message noted' instead of 'show-off!', 'not again',

And 'clearly they're desperate for people's attention.'?

Is your heart clean enough to not allow assumptions 

To disturb your way of thinking and upset Muslims?

When you're notified of news about a teen's passing, 

Can you ensure thoughts like 'was it suicide?' don't creep in?

Instead of studying why they died, you pray for them.

Can your heart be pure enough to resist welcoming 

Evil suggestions about a Muslim's intentions? 

When they ask personal questions, they're not attempting 

To flirt, frighten or cause emotional disturbance. 

No response? Maybe they're busy or they've forgotten.

~•~

And when they share good news or stories with merriment, 

Can you avoid assuming they're pridefully bragging? 

And when some friends once more decline your invitation, 

Can you let go of your ego and disappointment, 

Understanding they have lives too, and be forgiving?

When a number of Muslims request for donations, 

Can you assure you won't entertain the assumption 

That they're merely begging for their selfish enjoyment, 

And the money they collect is for their amusement, 

As earning cash is fast when you play with emotions?

~•~

Can your heart be clean enough to shun suppositions 

That your husband is cheating when he speaks to women, 

That a friend doesn't care about you when they seldom 

React to your Facebook status updates or comment, 

And that you're a failure if you're low on affluence?

~•~

What about Allah Almighty, the Most Forgiving? 

Can you purify your heart with determination 

And believe that Allah can forgive all of your sins? 

Pure hearts devoid of unjust guesses and suspicion 

Do not suspect. Leave the people to Allah's Judgment.

📖 Abu Huraira RadhiAllahu 'anhu narrated: Allah's noble Messenger Muhammad SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam said, "Beware of suspicion, for suspicion is the most false of tales. Do not seek out faults, do not spy on each other, do not contend with each other, do not envy each other, do not hate each other, and do not turn away from each other. Rather, be servants of Allah as brothers."

Poem: Your Likes And Followers Don't Determine Your Value

💐 In The Name Of Allah The Most Gracious The Most Merciful

💌 The number of followers doesn't measure one's worth, 

And the likes or comments you get on your online posts 

Don't determine your value nor the weight of your words.

How special and worthy you are Only Allah knows.

To be loved by Allah, you don't need to be well-known.

When told, "your fans are few!" or "I have friends, and you don't.", 

Confidently respond, "With Allah, I'm not alone."

And let them know, the number of those who stalk, follow, 

And endorse a person doesn't necessarily show 

They're on the right track or their hearts are purer than gold.

Note: Dumpsters, trash bins and uninhabitable homes 

Are magnets, like swamps, to swarms of flies and mosquitoes.

So just because someone has tons of subscribers, votes, 

And followers, it doesn't prove what they say and post 

Are authentic and deserving of being followed.

~•~

Prophet Nuh ('alaihis salaam) who for more than hundred years lived and called 

People to believe in Allah, the Only True Lord, 

Had few supporters, and his son was one of his foes.

So is it right to claim that he wasn't a good soul 

Since he wasn't famous among humans? Not at all.

~•~

About having friends or fan clubs it's uncool to boast 

If one is unloved by Allah the Judge of both worlds.

Achieving fame isn't proof that to Allah you're close, 

Cursed shaytan has many devotees around the globe 

And of all creatures on earth the devil is the worst.

~•~

It's a trial for some Muslims to sometimes feel lone, 

When amongst misguided souls they don't feel so at home. 

No matter how kind they try to be, they get ignored 

Often by those who envy their clean heart, given role, 

And gifts. If you're truthful, expect liars to oppose.

~•~

As long as you support the Sunnah, and your main goal 

Is to see Allah in Jannah, don't allow sorrow 

From people's disapproval to deter your self-growth.

Share knowledge for Allah and invite to Allah's Call, 

To please Allah, not gain minions nor people's applause.

📖 Abu Huraira RadhiAllahu 'anhu narrated: Allah's noble Messenger Muhammad SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam said, "When Allah loves a servant, He calls Angel Jibreel and He says: 'Verily, I love this person so you should love him.' Then Angel Jibreel loves him and makes an announcement in the heavens, saying: 'Allah loves this person and you should love him.' Thus, the dwellers of the heavens love him and he is honored on the earth.”

In another narration, the Prophet Muhammad SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam said, "When Allah is angry with a servant, He calls Angel Jibreel and He says: 'I resent this person, so you should resent him.' Then Angel Jibreel resents him and makes an announcement in the heavens, saying: 'Verily, Allah resents this person, so you should resent him.' Thus, they become resentful with him and he is hated on the earth."

Poem: Love Your Husband For Allah's Sake Regardless Of Wide Age Gap

💐 In The Name Of Allah The Most Gracious The Most Merciful

💌 Our gap is about ten years but still I love him,

He's one of Allah's gifts to me - my inspiration.

In many ways we're different but we're both lessons,

I teach him our religion; he teaches me patience.

If a critic claims "you married a loser", I say,

"My husband lost himself in me; we're one to this day.

He's my soulmate I believe - love him for Allah's sake.

Our love is firmly fixed though to some it's not portrayed."

Let my husband commit mistakes - Like me, he's human.

Everlastingly you forgive when you love someone.

Though he's not the most ideal man nor very handsome,

Loving him makes me ignore all his imperfections.

~•~

The love I have for my man is strongly fierce yet tamed

So much so when I see couples put on PDA,

Instantly I recall my spouse and love escalates -

Loyalty embraces me as I long for my bae.

To Allah I pray that this marriage stays a blessing,

A journey my spouse and I take to reach Jannah's Gates,

With our love struggles to expiate our sins. Ameen.

When you love your spouse truly, they're worth the tears and wait.

💌 If you were on a journey, in a land new to you, 

Searching for a specific place, who would you go to? 

The locals in that area, so you won't get confused?

They're familiar with the roads and may grant advice too.

Or first-time tourists who seem relatable and cool?

If you wished to learn how to drive, from who would you take 

Lessons? Driving instructors who ensure you'll stay safe, 

Who've been driving for years and their driving is okay?

Or those who taught themselves driving from digital games, 

And their driving style guarantees a ride that's unsafe?

~•~

When it comes to learning Islam, from whom can we learn? 

Self-proclaimed "scholars" who yearn for a large following? 

Who twist Islam's message, play with Islamic rulings, 

Who aim to trigger fitna through their talks and writings, 

And they promote bid'ah or make halal "forbidden"?

~•~

Some signs of Muslim speakers to whom we can listen: 

They're sincere to Allah, to themselves and all Muslims.

They love Muhammad (SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam) and strive to revive his teachings. 

They hate bid'ah, don't do birthdays, oppose misguidance, 

And arrogantly doing takfeer doesn't suit them.

Since they want rewards from Allah and not from His slaves,

For delivering lectures they don't ask to be paid.

They do Da'wah with wisdom purely for Allah's sake, 

Not for fame nor to get involved in pointless debates.

Good manners, patience and trust in Allah they maintain.

Always they prefer what Allah and His Prophet (SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam) say 

To the quotes of sheikhs/shuyookh and what people restate.

Of the beard and Islamic clothes they're never ashamed.

Frequently they fast Sunnah fasts, pray Qiyaam Al-Layl, 

And their faith remains firm when critics besmirch their names.

As Muslims, they try their best to perfect their Tawheed, 

And to increase their Imaan they regularly seek

Authentic Islamic knowledge with sincerity.

When studying Islam, it's your right to be choosy.

Carefully follow those who lead to Jannah rightly.

📖 Malik RadhiAllahu 'anhu narrated: Allah's noble Messenger Muhammad SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam said, "I have left you with two matters which will never lead you astray, as long as you hold on to them: The Book of Allah and the Sunnah of His Prophet (Muhammad SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam)."

📖 Abu Najeeh Al-’Irbaad ibn Saariyah (RadhiAllahu 'anhu narrated: The Messenger of Allah SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam gave us a sermon by which our hearts were filled with fear and tears came to our eyes. So we said, “O Messenger of Allah! It is as though this is a farewell sermon, so advise us.” He (SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam) said, “I advise you to have Taqwa (fear) of Allah, and to listen and obey [your leader], even if a slave were to become your ameer (someone authorized to lead). Verily he among you who lives long will see great controversy, so you must stick to my Sunnah and to the Sunnah of the Khulafaa ar-Raashideen (the rightly guided caliphs), those who guide to the right way. Cling to it (the Sunnah) stubbornly [literally: with your molar teeth]. Beware of newly invented matters [in the religion], for verily every bid'ah (innovation) is misguidance.”

It was related by At-Tirmidhi, who said that it was a good and sound hadeeth.

Verily, the children of Israel split into seventy-two sects and my nation will split into seventy-three sects. All of them will be in Hellfire except for one sect." They said, “Who are they, O Messenger of Allah?” The Prophet SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam said, "Those who follow my way and my companions."

Poem: The Insecure Often Misunderstand Confidence As "Arrogance"

💐 In The Name Of Allah The Most Gracious The Most Merciful

💌 Those with low or no self-esteem may wrongly perceive 

Confident people as "arrogant", "proud" and "snobby", 

Unaware their viewpoints don't confirm reality, 

Especially if they don't know the "haughty" fully.

If a person was walking amidst a busy street,

While some trucks nearly hit them and you aggressively 

Pushed the pedestrian aside for their own safety, 

Would it be fair if they called you a "prideful bully"?

~•~

Would it be right if you're told by classmates or colleagues 

That you're "so arrogant" as you're not afraid to speak, 

Ask questions to learn, share helpful tips generously, 

Avoid gossip, and choose close friends very carefully?

~•~

Such negative mindset reveals insecurities, 

Inferiority complex and obvious jealousy. 

Their misjudgment of you and plea to "be humble, please" 

Imply, "I can't handle your grit. It belittles me.

~•~

Your bravery makes me feel insecurely tiny.

Each time you take a stand, I'm triggered with vile envy. 

I hate how you seem 'perfect' with your fine qualities.

To dim your soul's light, I'll claim you lack humility."

Insecure folks like these are the kind to unfairly 

Tag Umar bin Al-Khattaab (RadhiAllahu 'anhu) as "prideful" and "scary",

When it's their jealous hearts that clash with inner beauty, 

And they misinterpret what confidence truly means.

Your actual self is seen by Allah the Almighty.

It's not your fault if Allah's slaves accuse you wrongly 

Of "arrogance". Their guessing games make it crystal clear 

They're confused from envy, or they don't know you really.

📖 Abu Sa’eed Al-Khudri RadhiAllahu 'anhu narrated: Allah's noble Messenger Muhammad SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam said, "Allah the Almighty says: 'Might is My Garment and Grandeur is My Cloak; whoever competes with Me regarding any of them, I will punish him.'"

Arrogance means rejecting the truth and looking down on the people."

In another narration, the Prophet SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam said, "No one who has the weight of a seed of faith in his heart will enter Hellfire."

Be eager for what benefits you, seek help from Allah, and do not be frustrated. If something befalls you, then do not say: 'If only I had done something else.' Rather say: "Allah has decreed what He wills." Verily, the phrase ‘if only’ opens the way for the work of shaytan."
